@StnG6170 Probably about 1995 was the last time they were just the three of them (I Think). Jason white is the other guitarist but he doesn't want to be credited. The other two are Jeff matika and jason freeze both are session musicians, paid to play with them. They might as well enjoy the experience while they play. Green Day are mostly about their sound and content nowadays and to get that sound they need all these people. Who cares about a few extra people anyway? They still sound awesome!

@nickJUIO He probably doesn't want to intrude on the three of them, I mean they have been together as a band for like 20 years, he probably doesn't want to spoil the image of Green Day with himself in it. People see Green Day as a three man band, he possibly doesn't want to change the way people see them. This is just my guess. I honestly think it would change them a lot if he was a full on member. He is a fantastic Guitarist, but they may lose their famed image if he joins.
