  • thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • 31 people fail

  • @MegaNitrokid LoOooooOOOLL hahahahahah :-D

  • Im gunna try cuz i got a new one so yah why not

  • this is weird

  • honestly I think people are better off just sending it to sony for it to be fixed thats what im going to do but I havent told my mom yet that it has the yellow light.

  • i wanna try this but im afraid if i put a game in it'll get stuck again

  • tihi is my ps3 please give me

  • Yeah...I have the same hairdryer and I melted the shit out of the plastic XD

  • is this a joke?

  • it work mom

    mom says: Wow XD

  • Thank you life saver !

  • how much time did you leave it in the fridge?

  • @TigerOscar78 2 weeks lol

  • @TigerOscar78 LOL

  • Comment removed

  • lol I got the exact same hair dyer

  • CHECK OUT MY YLOD PERMANENT FIX ON MY CHANNEL

  • How does this even work?

  • @rolloskate heat -.-

  • wow you are a jackass, i hope karma come back and kicks your ass

  • for how long could you play after the fix? 1min...1hour...2hours?

  • will it work if there a disk in

  • @ToonmanMr Dont use this method...

  • my console worked after this 5 minutes :( but in this time i was able to save some datas

  • Or just kick it.

  • fix in 20 min, fuck in 19 min

  • pizzzaaaaaaa!!!!

  • yo can i add you?

  • This wont "fix" your playstation. I might get it to work for an hour or so if you want to get your game saves off of it and put it on the new ps3 you're going to have to eventually buy

  • this video is the definition of stupidity from a technological standpoint! anyone who has a ps3 with ylod fix it via the video with the 2 million views works every time because thats how any company constructs motherboards with cpu and gpu's for longevity, heating it for reflow does not fix your thermal compound problem !! .

  • this works better if you just put the ps3 into a oven preheaded to 350 for 10 minutes then put it into the freezer for 1/5 and hour. ive fixed about 5 ps2s and an xbox this way.

  • People shouldn't call it a fix. It's more like a ZS3 (Zombiestation 3) You got time to back up your save files before it dies again.

  • this should really only be done as a last resort, as it damages the console.

  • IT isn't HD

  • U put a smile on my face ima try dat.

  • Please do the world a favor.. and I am not trying to be cute or funny with this: Don't suggest using a hair dryer on a Playstation 3. It IS a temporary fix, but the risk of internal damage is Way Super High. I had a customer do this to his Ps3 and he melted the internal gears of the Blu-Ray Drive. We were able to fix the unit and get it working again, but wow, it was super expensive for him, and really a pain for us.

  • @DMACustoms You made him pay a lot of money just to have his playstation work for a short amount of time. =/

  • @DMACustoms its called get a new one in stead of pay to fix it

  • @5ive617 Thats why there's legit tutorials on how to fix the YLOD so you don't have to pay... dont be a smart ass...

  • @TanookiBear well if you are slow or just a re re then you would kno that doing the hairdryer will fuck it up more witch means it will coast more to fix it but its your ps3 your chose but when you say you dont have to pay thats bull shit because it will work for a short period of time or not work at all that mean you pay to fix it or buy a new one you smart ass bear and ps3 precise are dropping mine just got the ylod and it will not fix soo my point shown

  • @5ive617 Yes of course apparently im the slow one.. Your going to waist $120-$180 on a repair/new console when you could just take the time open up your system & use the right tools to get the job done you don't even need much and it will cost you about $40-$50 max if you don't already have the tools needed.. It's extremely easy oh & btw never said anything about this video being legit x]

  • @TanookiBear well heres where your wrong or right i opened my ps3 up the 3 to 4 days in a row took it apart to the core cleaned it and w.e i still had some of that glue stuff for get the name but on the two square things put the ps3 back together and still doesnt work i did this 2 min ago also and if you got any tips ill gladly try them aka hairdryer is a fail for me

  • @5ive617 Wait why did you open it up 3-4 days in a row? o.o and "glue stuff" are you talking about the thermal compound? and yeah I can defiantly help you I will PM a video that actually helped me a couple days ago :)

  • i opened it without t10 screwdriver

  • and now im trying to open it but i dont have a t10 screwdriver

  • soooo i tried all this and it worked for about 15 mins and then went right back to the yellow light so i wanted to know if yours stayed working??

  • @OmgPS3foreveR i got mine working too, but i just shut it down afterwards, at least i got the disc out.

    hopefully stays working.

  • Sick DUDE THX!! works like a charm

  • can this also fix freezing if u know ur ps3 is overheating??

  • Dude i have tried this twice and the shits not working, i have a 80g old ones

  • THANKS SO SO MUSH I LOVE ADVICE GOT IT WORKING THANKS ALOT IM ONLY 9

  • DON'T MOVE IT WHEN ITS HOT!!

  • forget a oven im gunna put my pizza in a box and hair dry it

  • @ELITEBUTLER Don't forget to put it in the freezer! I learned so much from this guy... :D

  • @TanookiBear LOLLL

  • Used your advice and watched the video, did the trick.

PS3 is working great now. Thanks

  • @murto30 it will only work for a few days

  • @shaddy855

So far so good, working grand, but i'll bear that in mind.

  • Hey man, just checking, does this work long term??

  • @JamieFnLeckie dm just rewatched the end

  • @TheKalle1999 ???

  • it worked! LOL

  • ok i'm trying this.

  • do u put it in the fridge upside down?

  • yo ur A LIFESAVER YOUR A GENIUS REFRIGERATOR I SHOULD OF THOUGHT OF THAT

  • My son and I just tried this since we had nothing to lose, and damned if it didn't work. Thanks for posting. Now gonna get the data off of it and go trade it in. Awesome work jmf23805.

  • works better if you actually take it apart, flux, reflow and add better thermal grease, its not hard look up gilksy ps3 ylod fix, its not that hard.

  • @jonnois i cant do that.

  • did this acutally work?

  • @PJ123ization yes

  • can't believe but this shit work! thanks!

  • i got a mom that works at rent a center and fixxes it for free lmfao... but i dont feel like waiting a week... ima do this

  • no i just dit it

  • mine worked then i started playing skyrim then after five mins it got YLOD again, if i do it a third time will it just get YLOD again? or will it work for a month or so?

  • if i have a disc in it will it damage the disc and ps3?

  • @The0RaNg0TaNg0 no i just did ut with q disk in and it was fine

  • @The0RaNg0TaNg0 yes, it woulb be better to take it out

  • @playstationpro13 lol you can't take it out when it doesn't start...

    wow.

  • @BlizzardOfSeptember lol I ment the hard disk.... wow

  • i don't have a ps3 yet but i will be getting one i am concerned i might get ylod. you know how you followed his steps and after like watever time it went back to lyod maybe you should have a fan next to it and take care of it and use a vacumcleaner to vacum all the dust out don't leave it on overnight! or just have ur ps3 in fridge but take it out daily

  • @33mavboy invest in a pc ps3 took skyrim from me it can never apologize for that

  • Alright. As you noticed, i commented on it about 2 weeks ago... I tried this way... and it worked. I was shocked as hell. BUT it only lasted 3 days... and probably would have lasted less had I put a game in right away. It only lasted about 10 minutes into a game. The fan was blowing really hard and loud, and the YLOD came back. So I'm just getting a new one for Christmas. This does however fix it for the time being. But it's not a perminant fix.

  • I Tryed It It Worked Then After 5Minutes It Went Back To YLOD :(

  • Yeeah.. Full HD :(

  • i just did it and wasnt watching when heating it and my hole fucking playstation is warped!!!! i dont think it will ever work now!

  • It Didnt Work :( BTW I Have 2 PS3

  • Baking a Playstation Cake?

  • what was your temp was your hairdryer on

  • THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

This totally worked for me!!!! :) i did it 2 days ago and ive been playing since. the only thing i did different was that i used the blow dryer for 35 mins instead of 15 b/c i wanted to be extra sure the cpu glue melted well. Then i put it in the freezer for 10 mins and took it out and put it in front of a fan for an hour.

    Thanks a million!!

  • My ps3 got ylod at 7:00 night Sunday 20th November 2011 I am getting it fixed

  • thank you soo much dude i try it once and it didnt work so i did it again one more time and it f cken work ,, thanks

  • I've tried this once, but did not put it in the fridge. I kept it in the box, and put a regular fan on it for 20 minutes to cool it. Sooo..... I tried it your way... it's currently in the fridge right now. Hope to god it works. I had planned on getting COD MW3 and another game on the 22nd.

  • Look at that crystal clear HD.

  • dude u just fixed my play stay respect it worked

  • @snatcherz2 hold down the eject button and power off the system from behind while ur finger is still on the eject button then power it back on and ur game should come out

  • @ilovehonda20 does not work x.x

  • Jus wanna get my game out before I send it off coz they sed I wont get it back till six weeks

  • Thank you so much. Just tried your method with the fridge and waiting for it to completely cool down with a fan and it came on! I tried other versions but i think 5 mins of fridge cooling helped the process, so again thanks very much! Managed to back-up my system completely :)

  • How long did it take to break again? Please reply. Mine has YLOD

  • Big Thanks to jmf23805! This method does work :) I had to do it twice, sense i obviously didn't really do it for enough time the first time. You have to keep it heated for 15 mins- 20 mins like showed in the vid, then the refrige <3 My ps3 is still standing after 2 daysss (:

  • worked for u but not for me :( im sad

  • Hey man how many minutes at freezer?

  • i took alot of time to do this crap i searched all around my house for a box and did this then i tryed to work my ps3 and it only worked for 2 mintes.

  • search "how to get sony to fix ps3 for free" in youtube and select the video on the top to see how to do it! for real it works, i did it today 3/7/11!! i posted a few comments on how my convo with sony went so you can see more detailed steps!! FUCK SONY!!

  • I have just tried this as i had nothing to lose and YES mys ps3 is working again. Many many thanks to jmf23805

Simply heat the bejesus out of the console i did it for 18mins with a powerful hairdryer put it in the fridge for half an hour and my ps3 has the kiss of life

    woooohooo

    fuck you Sony!

  • dont sit it upward you retard thats how you get it

  • so u blow it for 20 min n put it in the freezer

  • I wouldnt reccomend doing this if you wanted any form of lasting repair. I would only do it if I was sending it to sony for repair or doing one of those ps3 door swaps and I wanted my game back.

  • somebody please tell me if this really worked

  • What if the game wont come out ? Can i still do this ?

  • @mrskidude95 im not sure....might ruin the game

  • @mrskidude95 before you turn on the ps3 you keep your hand on the eject button for before ten seconds of turning on the ps3. It should pop right out.

  • @Lolitakira It doesnt work on the version i have, only works with the 60gb i think :(

  • Comment removed

  • bro mine only turns on for like 5 mins what gives????

  • @yahtrickyah555 then do it again..see if it turns on then bring it back while it still works

  • @shaunarozonadona yeah haha

  • This worked on my 40GB PS3 long enought to backup games saves (5-8 minutes)

thank you, maybe i will try again cause i was scared my ps3 was gonna melt

  • @SonicParadise you are welcome

  • when you get your new ps3 make sure you put it in a ventilated area, as the spot you showed us doesnt look ventilated

  • @SlashersProductions i now have my new ps3 on a shelf

  • this totally worked...wrapped up my ps3 in a thick sweatshirt and heated for like 10 min. (keep the blow dryer moving tho, it'll melt the plastic case) while upside down. Turned off the blow dryer and blew a fan on it till room temp.

  • @a7xRiPJimmyREV is it still working

  • @a7xRiPJimmyREV nice

  • i did this twice to day and my ps3 only came on for about 2 minutes and now it wont come on at all.... what gives?

  • get a 360 man u can get haked by my cousin

    I

    V

  • Cool method but i think i done it the wrong way lol, my ps3 fucking exploded to peaces while heated and i thought nothing happened to is so, i put it in the freezer forgot about and when i took it out after 2 hours it got frozen to its fucking death, it exploded in my face looool. Anyway i need to listen more carefully next time dis happens to my new ps3 and i'll make sure the same shit doesnt occur lol

  • @nikob3lic y the fuck would it explode u dip shit

  • @chobag hahahaha crazy ppl

  • @nikob3lic wtf

  • @nikob3lic jajajajajajajaja

  • @nikob3lic lol

  • @nikob3lic you first wrap in multiple blanket and place it in a box, then you use the hair dryer on the back of the ps3 for like 15 mins and put in the fridge for like 20mins...it worked for me, but then it broke again after 3 days of playing ff13...and so I have to repeat the process....
