I have a dreamcast and this game, but my mic is lost, and buying a new one has been difficult online. All the online stores claim to have them in stock then after I order 3 days later I get an e-mail saying ive been refunded and the orders been cancelled. Its fun, you start by hatching them, and the ones that survive eventually evolve with the right techniques and adjustments in your tank. Then they slowly begin to learn our language as you talk to them, starting with "Hi" "Hello" "Bye" etc.

you do need to press buttons to tap on the glass, changing the temp air and so on and to toggle through them of course. oh you do need to also press a certain button down to use the mic.

Its not really a game, its more like one of those virtual pets simulations except you can actually talk to it via microphone. Its very detailed and some parts of how it has to evolve is a bit disturbing but a very unique title for its time and even today. The speech recognition isn't perfect, but it does surprisingly works well considering the technology back in 1999. Its definately worth trying out.
