Darkbuster VS Maglite DIY 3x SSC P7 LED Diving torch

Did you use a pre-built insert for the maglite head? Or did you create your own? I'm starting a torch project myself, and this seems to be this hardest thing for me to figure out before I start.

How can the light shine for 220min. if you have only 4899mAh for 3x2800mA for the SSCs?

@HVBasti im sorry , but the burn time is not correct. the darkbuster is 120min almost , and i dont know the exactly time for the maglite. some editing fault when making this vid.my bad:/

Ok thanks. But do you know if the burntime of the maglite is higher than 1 hour?

I am the builder of the magmod. the led-setup is triple SSC-P7 in series. That means that the ampere-use is 2800ma. My battery setup is 2x (4 x 18650 - 2500mah in series). these two series are in parallell to double the total ampere. So my batterypack is 14,8v and 5000mah. this could be around 110 minutes of burntime.

strange music..anyway darkbuster has proved to be very reliable & one charge does me my two dives of an hour & half then charger refills it fast because it's obviously not that low after them dives.

is this the 24w version or the 21w nobody gets the 21 version now..no point..

no expensive torch has ever outshon my darkbuster it has amazed every diver with even 50w greenforce hid were beaten.this is my repeated experience.

video lense is a bit too spread & spot too laser..so i baught both & glue.

the maglite is still better, cause when your batteries are dead or going dead in the lite. my maglite is still working.

hmm.. I didn't get that.. my batteries dead? And yours not? what are you trying to say?

I've made a canister dive light with 18650 li-ion batteries. They will live for a looong time yet.

Anyway.. it was the amount and quality of the light itself we where talking about, right? ;)

Are your maglite a dive-mod with ssc P7's?

Eneste er kanskje at den reflektoren kunne hatt litt bedre fokus i midten, men liker veldig godt at det er strølys...hmm

Men hvem hadde "mest" lys da?.. var litt vanskelig å si ...andre som har mening?
