  • This movie made me cry about eight different times. Nothing has ever hit me the same way The Fountain did.

  • This song is something I won't forget in my whole life, I swear. I saw the movie when my boyfriend showed me, before we even were together. After the movie we listened the soundtrack and if something can make me cry in his arms, well this soundtrack is the one. Now, whenever we have a fight, it hurts so damn much and we listen to this song so it can be easier to go on and to not make it worse. Ofcourse, our fights all and up in the tears and almost screaming the fact that we love each other. :)

  • boring, if you want a truly emotional song check out baby by justin beiber

  • mogwai is the band and are amazing, its featuring clint mansell

  • shit this is the saddest song i ve ever heard......oh man that feeling this song gives...i dont want to die :´O

  • This song wake up so many emotions in me, I just stay still on my chair listening to this piece of art and all I can think of is my life as whole, about my future wife, about my future kid, about this sad and in the same time happy life, about all people I know about my parents about all things that matter to me,about death. I want to found love but I can't, but this song give me an emotion of how you feel when you love somebody.I hope after I die I will reincarnate into a tree to be near my son.

  • No words... just in trance

  • Esta pelicula es en verdad única y la música no pudo ser mejor!

  • just listen, and my life passes before me, and understand it

  • This always makes me depressed.. but then I like it, since it reminds me about life and that we should live.

  • el dia q al fin termine de practicar esta cancion llorare por el resto de mi vida.

  • Everyone is so caught up in the word "RELIGION" which means "a way of worship". ALL roads lead to GOD. There is no right or wrong way. We use that to feed OUR OWN ego's to place judgement on others and not take responsiblity for our own actions and thoughts. We are ALL part of GOD and GOD is part of EVERYTHING! We all have the power of LOVE and that power starts with SELF!!! BECOMING AWARE OF OURSELF on every level (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual) is the first step. I AM LOVE...

  • mine & my babys song<3.

  • Fuck Mozart

  • where the fuck is part 9 the soundtrack from The Fountain?

  • Good Music, too bad about all the faggoty comments it attracts!

  • @madhammudeux ironic

  • @77Fortran

    pig farts

  • @madhammudeux even more ironic

  • @77Fortran

    Donkey sack pie!

  • It's beautiful ... wonderful. Just music, who speaks to soul!

A movie, to think about life and time.

    Great!

  • I came here to enjoy the music.... whats with the religion debates guys?

  • Darren Aronofsky supports the drugging and sodomizing of 13 year old girls.

    Just thought I should mention.

  • And please, agnostics and atheist brothers and sister, even if you are using your reason and not the faith, It donst gives you the right to insult us the believers and make fun from us as much as we must not make the same to you. THX

God forgive us for the estupidities WE could do, for what we had done, and what we ll do.The ST virgin Mary has mercy on us. And everyone Who God thinks its up to and can helps us to reach God easier. All if God wishes it and/or Allow it. GOOD BYE PEOPLE

  • i dont care the Religion(way to follow God ) you belong to, even if they are humans inventions to reach God and not the trully one to reach him(The catholic one). Just follow it as it says (of course if its not MADNES) and reach God in the end.

  • And religion is not the "way" to hide from the bad of the world, its the way to reach GOD , the way to follow his instructions, love him and save ouerselfs and the other ones selfs.

  • and the animal one(our body) (wich also cames from God and goes to God) is wich contains our Divine nature and wich its also what we use to past trought the TEST we are involved to reach God

  • Hey people, clearly you dont understand the human nature, and the meaning of Religion.its a shame, but actually i had been guilty too of the same until i got iluminated by God( THX TO HIM BY THE WAY). But the humans we have 2 natures: The divine one and the animal one, of course, both came from God and go to God, but the divine one its what makes us Sons and Daugthers of God( of course after JESUSCRIST wich is THE SON OF GOD AND GOD AS SAME AS THE FATHER AND HOLY SPIRIT),

  • @TarrTemplar Divinity is nothing more than the means by which to shame and control those who follow.....If i remember correctly throughout history, where religion goes death and destruction soon follow. No offence, i am just pointing out that more people die through religion than are saved. Holy Crusades for example.....the tension between Hinduism and Judahism, all because they were offended by the opposition to their devine rights.

  • @Kehdore excuseme, what foolish thinking, , you let me see that you just wana live a passive and relaxed life, without compromises and thinking that the best is not to move, stay quiet as a rock and just live.

Is not the Religion, and less GOD what causes death ,pain and war, is the human being who modifies the precepts of ANY religion to his conveniences and wishes.

We cant blame the fight for GOD as the cause of trouble in te world. Thats madnes.

We must blame the wrong fight for GOD

  • @TarrTemplar firstly please speak proper english, it will make it a lot easier to understand what you are trying to say. secondly, no religion is perfect, and should not be considered so, even yours. also, you saying that kehdore lives a "relaxed life, without compromises and thinking that the best is not to move" is just plain wrong. the fact that he has his own views on religion not told to him by a book, shows that he thinks, unlike you. you, blindly follow what you are told, without question

  • @MrHistoronics Whel, actually our religion its meant to be perfect. You clearly are putting reason over faith, the catholics( the good ones) we not just walk blindly through the way GOD showed us HE explicitly told us not to. And if you are still looking to get away of the faith and just think, Then think this: Would you follow a religion that cames from a man in the name of GOD. Or the religion that directly cames from GOD?

And finally yes, without ofense, Kehdore is living technicallywell

  • @MrHistoronics And even if Kehdore is jude, muslim, ortodox, or anything else, HE IS FREE, i am not putting betwenthe wall and the sword, he could follow the religion he WISH. i just make a call to him to follow it well, and finally im reafirmating that Catholicism is the best one.

  • @Kehdore You used the Holy Crusades as an example for feel confortable and rainforce your opinion, but you must know, that their intention was so good:"Fight for GOD, and deliver his message to the humanity"But you must understand that the way the did it,was wrong.Fight dosnt means war,and deliver dosnt means impose. Also you used the example of Juds and Hindus for rainforce your theory, but you must understand that their religion is not perfect, because it was created by humans. So theyfail more

  • @Kehdore The juds case in not correctly named as human creation, excuse me, is correctly named as a human

resistance to believe in, and follow JESUSCRIST taugh

  • I have been alone my entire life and it has been a good life, i have not known real love, maybe that is why i love this song, because it makes want to love myself even more.

  • I think there is nothing wrong with us, humans. Humans are design as a creature that aspires to evolve and obtain information. We are design to be destructive and overall self destructive. I think we can do whatever we want because we are human. Even if that means destroying each other... You see, every creature is design to have an opposition which balances out to a natural population. Humans arguing is natural, everything everyone ever did is natural. So please continue to be human...

  • @DynoVVulf There is no such thing as Natural. Natural would be Genetics, but who we are is inspired largely by enviromental factors not by our DNA; the fact we have a conscience is testimony to this.

  • While you all argue about religion, you all should remember, this film is beautiful, honest and simple. While it is ambiguous, in a way it seems to forget all of the rubbish we worry about and confront how we live, not what rules we live under. It is a film about love, death and the lives we live, so can we forget about sacred texts, mans capacity and simply do what the film was designed to make us do. Be inspired so that when we die, we can smile and have made something out of life.

  • There´s no peace without war.... the problem lies in their balance, nothing more....

  • @TheWeirdcrap "Nothing built upon violence can endure." Mahatma Ghandi

"Be change you wish to see in the world." Mahatma Ghandi

I don't think war requires peace, or visa versa. I think the only way to find peace is to be peaceful. Plain as that.

  • @Emmercedes of course not. Peace out of war is only a beautiful excuse for war and terror, and means for manipulating people through ideology. Its not even logical. How can war breed peace, if it kills people on the other end, and thus gives birth to vendeta philosophy. Its a scam that locks people in misery fear and torture. And it makes them do it all to themselfs and eachother.

  • @Emmercedes I think creation is the opposite of war. I can imagine it's easier to create while in peace. And "unpeace" or whatever the opposite of peace is, easy to be destructive when failing with communication..

My point is.... Creation. This song is a beautiful creation.

  • @Emmercedes except empires

  • @jjcmmc but i just cant imagine a world without this, i think that is the most frighting thing

  • @Emmercedes

It's not that easy, sure, you can be peaceful, but there's always someone out there who wants to see the world burn. You can't just "be peaceful". You have to fight evil.

  • @Emmercedes

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. George Orwell

There are those of us that walk down a path of violence, not for the glory or fame. We do it so that you can be peaceful. It take a different person to take up that burden and carry it to the end.

  • @iGeekElite True, in this real-world we do require brave men to stand ready.

But in a perfect world, if everyone (EVERYONE) was peaceful, there would never be a need for brave men to stand ready. And I see no reason not to work for a perfect world. But unfortunately, most places on Earth do require brave men to stand ready.

But, at the same time, I do agree with the quote:

You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war. (Albert Einstein)

  • @Emmercedes

You are correct and that quote is a very good one. IMO When men like us are done with the world and have lived our carnage the world will need peaceful men like you to take up banner and carry on the new hope. Once the world has found its peace there will be no place for men like me.

There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter.

    Ernest Hemingway

  • makes you wonder why people like Bush and Obama think we need to bomb poor countries and take all their oil to make profits.

we are all humans on this earth so why kill each other. we only live once.

  • @hyylo

It is in our nature to destroy one another. No amount of hippie peace shit will change that.

  • @KillKithkinDead

    you are wrong.

It is in everyone’s nature to help each other however, the distractions around us have distorted what it means to live a beautiful life.

You only live once. Once you accept this you will see the world as one.

There is no Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu or Sikh.

    Search youtube for this video:

Zeitgeist Original 07 Full by Peter Joseph

  • @hyylo I agree with KillKithkinDead , man has a great talent for self-destruction. There's no hiding it. Though I would like to believe everything is always perfect and kind, the truth is that good people die young and sometime bad people get away with heinous crimes. It doesn't matter what religion you connect this to. All religion aim to inspire good but there is bad in the world, and you can't just keep going on thinking that everyone wants to help everybody else.

  • @AspenThames

you might like to watch the speech by Steve Jobs (CEO of Apple) about life, love and death.

search youtube for ...........STEVE JOBS 2005 SPEECH..........

  • @AspenThames Clearly, the Christian religion aims to inspire good when it says within the bible:

You must not use two different threads for a garment.

Touching the skin of a dead pig makes one unclean.

    Homosexuality is an abomination.

Selling daughters into slavery is acceptable.

Almost every religious text I have seen has many more severe messages of negativity than good.

  • @Emmercedes Hey I never said I was for any religion, including christianity. I'm not sure what I believe anymore because all belief system that I've witnessed are warped. I know that all religions have flaws but overall, they do aim to inspire good. I'm pro-gay and I'm disgusted by people who follow religious texts yet hypocritically commit the sins stated in those texts. So just be the best person you can, and fight against the urge of self-destruction.

  • @AspenThames I do find myself agreeing with you. I believe that Jesus-- at the birth of the Christian religion, aimed to inspire good. I believe it was when a religious text that you are designed to follow if you decide to be Christian is where a large part of the trouble is at.

And unfortunately, yes, it does seem that man has a natural ability to destroy things, but also has a natural ability for random compassion. I guess, the way I see it, even if the destruction is natural, that doesn't

  • @Emmercedes I largely agree with what you say but I would like to point out that religion is not bad, it is humans who make it bad. Personally I am a Muslim and you cannot honestly say Islam is a bad religion it is Muslim who are bad which by the way is also completely false. It is the ruling elite who wish to hijack once perfect religion and turn it into their own sick way of brainwashing and instilling fear into a society to the extent they will obey without realising they are even obeying.

  • @ContinentalHeretic I do agree. I don't honestly know the purpose of religion, but I am going to assume it's main purpose is to enlighten. I think that idea-- trying to enlighten people about love, generosity, kindness, etc., are great. I just think along the way a lot of negative connotations have been unfortunately added. Things like justifying wars, targeting specific people to say they're evil, etc. I just think it is too bad the innocence of religion seems sort of... lost, I guess.

  • @ContinentalHeretic Also, you're right-- I think it is great you're a Muslim, and I think Islam is a great religion (I always get confused if Islam is a country or religion, lol). I am all for diversity. I guess I just hope you use religion to enlighten rather than justify negativity. And I know some people in all religious will find a way to hate others-- Muslim, Jewish, or Christian-- hate people for their color skin, their religious beliefs, their sexual orientation, etc.

  • @Emmercedes Yeah thats abosulutely true :) There are many people of all religions whether Muslim, Christian, etc. that do not understand what religion is. There is only one God not a Christian God then a Jewish God, etc. IT takes a lot of time to understand religion and finally to use it for spiritual enlightenment and for the goodness of oneself. Peace will only come through God; I do not know of any person who will be content with life and death apart from the one who is content with God.

  • @ContinentalHeretic

Completely true...religions are the path of being enlightened if you can take it on the right way..So no matter what your religion is..Even if you are Christian, Muslim, Jew or any other..The point is to look at it with right way..Then it will take us to somewhere that we wish to be in.

My way is beyond religous and easier.. I just learned to look around me cause answers are closer us then we thought until now.

  • @bilgihan34 The only religion is following One God :) That is what my faith, Islam is, not a religion but a way of life.

  • @ContinentalHeretic Holyness, is in right action. It is what we decide to do everyday that will define us as good men/women. Faith is the preservation of ones belief's in life whether it be in the path of a greater deity or true to words of wisdom not written generations hense.

"You don't need a reason to help someone"

"There is nothing good nor evil, but thinking makes it so"

Such thoughts can make this world at least a little more bareable, and neither came from an age old book.

  • @ContinentalHeretic You had to go and make this about religion...well alright. Just remember that your religion is the spawn of Judaism, a religious group that is persecuted and murdered by your own. They in turn murder Muslims, what sort of testament is that regarding the glory of Allah?

No, indeed religion is not the bastion of hope or peace, it is the hiding place of cowards and murderers who seek out justification for their actions. We need to rise up above religion, lest it destroy us.

  • @Macabremauve I never made this about religion I was just having a conversation which you were not part of. Your accusations have no substance behind them, at the end of the day you can say what you want but it doesn't really mean anything. Stop believing what the media says, you do not deserve to listen to this music; you are plainly stupid and offensive.

  • @AspenThames (cotinuing from earlier message) ... doesn't mean I don't want to fight that destructive urge, even if it is natural.

  • One of the most beautiful songs I know.

  • This is beautiful

  • She and him will forever live together, i just wish i could have been there to stop it when he told her he loved her. you could see he was lieing but she loved him, and even the people wth wide eyes are blinded by love. so forever she lives together with him. being broken like a cheep toy. she runs to me in tears but I can no longer help her, i love her but she loves him, so forever.. they will live together..

  • 4 people hate music

  • so awesome!

  • The entire soundtrack is stunning.

  • " Bitterness is a word. Like Love and Eternity. but it's not as deep as your eyes, the two circular tombs where my soul burries itself. My heart is melting, my legs are tottering Fever rules my nerves, leads my clumsy moves I seem so sick but all the life is running through my veins. I love you. Front of human, front of cities, front of nature, front of angels I love you front of Almighty God. Can He allow us to live this little time forever. This is my last prayer.

  • Es tan mágica la música que compone este sr. Me llega a cada parte de mi alma, me hace sentir algo único, me transporta. Es poesía. Es indescriptible.

  • This song is so comforting and peaceful. I love it, like I love her.

  • dreamily beautiful

  • All I want do with this song is sit in my room with the person I love most in the world. Hold each other, and gaze into air that is filled with this feeling... Just sit, and stare at the passing time... and feel, all you can ever feel ...

  • it's so wonderful music ^_^

    good luck my brother

  • Indescribable.

  • "Take this ring to remind you of your promise. You shall where it when you find Eden, and when you return, I shall be your Eve. Together, we will live forever."

  • Wow...This is magnificently beautiful. And the movie is even more beautiful :)

  • beautiful!

  • i love 1:28

  • This song is goregeous and makes me picture beautiful nature

  • when music goes beyond the ears and into the mind and soul, when emotions once dormant rise up with such intensity, when even the hardest of people begin feeling a single tear run down their face, you know Clint Mansell has been here.

  • @roktopus ketamine

  • @roktopus Best comment on youtube of the month award goes to, ........roktopus.

  • @roktopus you'd love craig armstrong then! if you know other similar artists let me know!

  • This track is ripe with the idea of lost love. In the bleak blackness I have discovered my propensity to shy away from real love. I am eternally saddened by this realization. I have loved so hard, with such purity that in the aftermath of loss...healing seems impossible. I knew her, her name was Leanne and her smile was warmer and brighter that our closest star. In her absence, my reality has become bleak and dark. Time heals and congeals the open wounds, but I am still bleeding.

  • such an inspiration. I'm a musician now, and a lot of my stuff has been brought to light thanks to the emotion that this man has evoked from me. Amazing stuff. Whether its sound scape or me playing guitar, Clint definitely helped shape who I am as a person and a player.

  • shiver....shiver!

  • I love this song. Though it has no words it speaks volumes to one's heart.

  • i lost someone very important to me recently and this song expresses how i feel.

  • @pgestradasp1 Im sorry :(

  • Someone remind me to watch this movie! It sounds so good!!

  • @liveforlife2494

It is,but you have to watch it with 100% of your attention.. and you may not fully understand it till you watch it a second time.

It's interpretation can be complex but has the potential to leave a lasting impression on you for awhile depending how deep you want to feel.

  • @watevatube Thanks for the info! I'm gonna make a mental note to watch this movie.

  • Woah!

  • Woah!

  • Goodbye, Izzy. :_(

  • One of the most beautiful soundtracks I ever heard... <3

  • I whisper words into my hands and let them fall onto your grave, hoping that somehow they'll go though the soil and you'll hear them. And every drop of rain that falls on the back of me neck, I keep thinkin is that your answer to me somehow.

    -Clann Zu, Everyday

  • i'm speechless...

  • does anyone know of several songs that are similar to this one? emotional piano without too much else going on in the background?

  • @TehSushiChef I expect you would like Arvo Part's "Fur Alina." Also, take a look at Enya's piano instrumentals, including "A Day Without Rain" and "Watermark" (which both happen to be the names of two of her albums, so make sure you find the individual track titles). "Eternity Memory of Lightwaves" from Final Fantasy X-2 might also please you. Finally, consider sampling some of Chopin's Nocturnes, particularly #2, #19, and #20, though his music may be too "busy" for your taste.

    Happy hunting!

  • @TehSushiChef Try "Ode To Simplicity" from Secret Garden. There are two versions of it (as I know!) one only piano, the other one is both piano and violin.

  • i honestly wanted a dramatic song not a slow song "together we will live forever" was my fave quote of the movie

  • The only language that everyone speaks is Music.

  • I would of loved you even in another lifetime.

  • also in arrivals parts, arrivals for ever!

  • its amazing to listen to such a simple yet unbelievably moving piece. My ears will forever thank me.

  • The music is lovely, but blind philosophical jargon in a Youtube comment does not compliment it or progress society.

  • thank you clint mansell
