Let us give credit where its due, Beyonce did us proud in this movie, which incidently, was a great film, kudos to all involved. I loved her version of this song, wish she would take that voice of hers and sing more tunes like this. I'm a huge Etta James fan, and I can honestly say Beyonce sounds good, real good, singing her music. A whole new generation was turned on to these timeless tunes and thats just the way it should be. May the greatest music live the longest!

One thing Beyonce did that Etta didn't do which made the song more powerful. Beyonce kept stepping the "Baby", Baby, Baby parts of the song up stronger. Etta didn't do that she kept it a little more mellow than beyonce did. People always say that the original is the best..but sometimes a newer version can be better.
