It is about time Conservatives in CONgress find and use their testicles.
It is impossible to count 40 million ballots .... by hand ... in a couple of hours. Ahmadinejad, it seems, wanted to win so bad he cheated.
Normally, this kind of manual process would take more than a week!
I wouldnt mind having this kind of old-time voting process back again, than our computer generated systems we have currently. We have so many IT geniuses that fraud is inevitible, especially with the ability to input 'programs' giving certain candidates an edge within the system
It's very easy to hack into our voting machines. The FBI can't even keep their computers hacker proof. We need a better system which can produce real proof of our casted ballots.
solved that problem by dipping ONE finger in unwashable permanent (washes away in about a week or two) ink!
Proving they voted & canNOT vote again!
With the noise of election fraud ringing thru-out our media & internet sites everyday from certain groups like ACORN ... one has to wonder what the REAL outcome was last year.
Probably for the same reason he wont release his medical, college, work or birth records ... transparency. Chided Hillary for NOT releasing her White House schedules & called the Bush Administration the most 'secretive'.
Obama passed a law w/Sen.Coburn requiring more transparency via public database of all federal spending.
Obama is an oxymoronic prez. Says & votes one way but does the complete opposite in action & deed. A smooth talking snake, one definitely never to put your trust in.
I see a very smart and capable (potential) candidate for 2012 in Boehner. I hope and pray he keeps up the heat on Obama and his administration....and continues to tell Americans what the Republicans can do for them in opposition to the Obama agenda.
Boehner seemed like a "smart and capable" officeholder to me too, but his performance in the 2006 and 2008 election cycles in keeping his Congressional peers together as leader have been disastrous for his party. Even worse, I was working on the Hill when he waffled on the biggest decision he faced as leader; the first bailout bill and betrayed the House Republicans by voting for it. He displayed negative leadership at that time.
I couldn't disagree with you more. John Boehner did what he thought was good for the country! His President and Treasury Secretary made the case that there would be a major economic collapse if that bill failed. He was promised the money would be paid back. I believe Rep.Boehner showed outstanding leadership because he put aside personal beliefs and party for what he believed to be the good of the country. I admire him for making such a difficult decision; he could have lost his leadership job.
So you think that "leadership" entails putting aside your personal beliefs in order to toe the line when Paulson and Bush start saying the sky will fall if we don't pass something without even reading it.
Or do you think that they were right and we faced a total collapse if we passed ANYTHING other than what Paulson peddled from his office? (Like the Hensarling alt. bill)
Did he do his job by ignoring his Republican peers (who supported an alt. bill) AND his constituents who hated the bailout?
You ought to know that you obviously can't please every person in your party on every issue. At the time the consensus belief was the economy would collapse without the rescue bill. John showed great leadership because even though the bill represented everything he didn't believe in personally, he put his country ahead of personal beliefs and supported it, putting his own leadership position in jeopardy! He explained it magnificently in his speech; I was so impressed I became a Republican.
Look, I just think that the single defining issue that will differentiate the old Republican party that drove into a ditch in 2006 and 2008 and the new one that will probably be taking names in 2010 and 1012 is the whole bailout/stimulus/infinite budget nonsense. If that is hung on the Dems, we will win in 2010. If it is not, we will lose.
That means the watershed vote that defines our party's comeback is that first bailout vote that failed in the House; and for governors their taking fed money.
I think we should stay out of Irans' politics. They hate the US anyway. Years of anti-American propaganda and support of Iraq in the Iran/Iraq War has caused the hatred to run deep. On the other hand, how about running some interference against Obama before he hammers the nails in our coffins with his various socialist programs.
You lie ! John Boehner - the public option would not "force" anyone who wants to stay with their private insurance could if they wanted to !

I do wonder but chaos and mistrust of our political system is ACORN's ultimate objective.
On another topic, I wonder why Obama won't release the names on the White House visitors book, don't you?
