Why the hell is the car list for this game so weird? Most of the models are 10 or more years old, more than half of the cars are something you'd never consider racing in (a Prius for instance), there's no S65 AMG etc. etc. What's up with that?
@CernaML Now I feel like a fool *facepalm*. Anyway, point being that these games are not simulator. They are both arcade at best. If you crash a car at 120, then your virtual driver should die or be severely injured. Your car should stop working while shrapnel goes everywhere. In my opinion, to make the best game. You make the player feel like he is in the hot seat of a car doing 250. Close to real life as possible, save the death. That is Virtual Reality's job. Talk to me when that comes out.

If they came out with a new console every year with new hardware, then the buyer would spend a sh** load of cash on buying them and then there is the people who design the game. They need time to explore what the new hardware can do so they can max it out. Think about it and you'll see that I am not that far off. But the PS4 and 720 are coming out within the next few years so be prepared for faster everything! Graphics boost and so on so 4th.

Again: If game developers know how to increase speed/loading times + have the technology to do so.. then WHY can't/don't they make their systems load quicker or at a decent speed? @SexualStrat Umm. The load times are generated because the hardware can only go so far. There is new technology coming out soon, with the Xbox 720 and the PS4 but for now, both system's hardware are about as out of date as the current Forza and Gran Turismo are. The games are limited by the hardware. When a super fast, high graphics system comes out that can make anything look lifelike, down to the millimeter, the games can only go as far as the technology. Progress will soon change that. :)

@camouflagecamero99 You do realize how bad it makes one look to rag on one game to make the other look good right. They are both good. Forza is more casual than GT. But both are not sims. If you want to get a sim, buy yourself a fucking Honda Civic and take it to your local track. A sim not only recreates the physics, lighting, and tuning. It should also create the feeling of pulling G's in a corner or going over a jump. When both games come out with virtual reality, come back to me.

@CernaML Yes I do. If you take time to read this, it is actually quite interesting. If youtube let me type more, I could explain it in-depth. But originally, a group of Polyphony's workers branched off somewhere during 2001, during development of the 3rd Gran Turismo. According to what I have read, the group wanted to take ideas Polyphony wasn't ready for at the time (aka paint shop, more in-depth tuning) and also create competition for GT. Look it up. It's well worth a look. :)

@rucarnuts13 Sr.: I've played the two games Forza and GT all of it's games and I'll say that GT is better.1 reason : The cars in GT are soft like a real car,not like forza that fells so heavy. 2 reason: Tunning: GT tuning is standard I mean engine and some aerodynamic pieces but In forza I felt that I was playing NFS not a racing game 3 reason: A easy game Forza is just drive drive. Drive and win In GT you have levels and licenses that make it more harder. I have more reasons but I'll post them

Hey everyone. I got an HD PVR for Christmas and I'm so stoked, plan to have a commentary out today. Only problem is that I have few subscribers (you guys know how hard it is to get subs, so I wont go in depth about that). 4/4 More raicing courses and that you can feel the IA more natural, Better engine sound, Smoke and the sounds when you crash became more realistic, And better multiplayer

3/4 Another idea is adding more car marks like porshe and more premiun cars or it even this is no possible by any reason(ex:budget) add more details to standard cars,if its possible spectators and ambient details, see car mechanism if you are curious, more realistics pits, see when yor pilot press the horn, And that you can have mor camarea freedom while in a race and more tunning pieces even for standard cars.

1/4 Gran Turismo 5 in my opinion it's not the best game from the saga comparing it to before releases. Much people think it's dissapointing and part of them went to Forza, well, i am a fan of this game since GT 1 but honestly talking like a race GT stayed too much time improving in pit that forza started to have distance from GT.

forza motors is pretty good to. hopefully in this gran trurismo 5 they will let u tune your car idk i only play prologue for a couple of times ... can u tune cars in this game like adding power package, brakes and stuff like that ? or is it just like get a car race in this track and finish 1st and game is over???
@locofortin Yep you can modify your ride, but you have to know what you are doing. If you have a PS3 then this is a MUST BUY!!!. Prologue was just like a demo for this game, this is the best game I've ever bought.

Hey dipshit, forget that loading times have been around ever since the CD format has been used? If loading times were such a problem then why aren't we still using cartridges on game consoles? There's a MASSIVE difference between a 10MB cartridge to a 50GB Bluray disc. It's clearly going to take a shit ton longer to load that much data in 512MB of RAM compared to the 128Kb found in the SNES. The need to point out the obvious is clearly a requirement for your ignorant ass.

@SexualStrat That's how it's been for the past 2 decades... Do I need to repeat this? Ever since the CD format was introduced to gaming, we all had to deal with longer loading times for bigger games. The fastest way to load data these days is by installing all the assets to an available hard drive but even that doesn't eliminate loading times. It shortens them but does not eliminate them. Streaming data HAS improved and the latest update for GT5 cut the loading times in half, by the way.

FACT is: If game developers can increase size, then they SHOULD be able to increase speed to match! The ratio should be the SAME, not for eg. increase size by 500x and speed/loading times by just 100x. When car manufactures increase speed, they increase braking and handling abilities to suit. @SexualStrat Umm. The load times are generated because the hardware can only go so far. There is new technology coming out soon, with the Xbox 720 and the PS4 but for now, both system's hardware are about as out of date as the current Forza and Gran Turismo are. The games are limited by the hardware. When a super fast, high graphics system comes out that can make anything look lifelike, down to the millimeter, the games can only go as far as the technology. Progress will soon change that. :)

If you want to get a sim, buy yourself a fucking Honda Civic and take it to your local track. A sim not only recreates the physics, lighting, and tuning. It should also create the feeling of pulling G's in a corner or going over a jump. When both games come out with virtual reality, come back to me.

@CernaML Yes I do. If you take time to read this, it is actually quite interesting. If youtube let me type more, I could explain it in-depth. But originally, a group of Polyphony's workers branched off somewhere during 2001, during development of the 3rd Gran Turismo. According to what I have read, the group wanted to take ideas Polyphony wasn't ready for at the time (aka paint shop, more in-depth tuning) and also create competition for GT. Look it up. It's well worth a look. :)

@rucarnuts13 Sr.: I've played the two games Forza and GT all of it's games and I'll say that GT is better.1 reason : The cars in GT are soft like a real car,not like forza that fells so heavy. 2 reason: Tunning: GT tuning is standard I mean engine and some aerodynamic pieces but In forza I felt that I was playing NFS not a racing game 3 reason: A easy game Forza is just drive drive. Drive and win In GT you have levels and licenses that make it more harder. I have more reasons but I'll post them

3/4 Another idea is adding more car marks like porshe and more premiun cars or it even this is no possible by any reason(ex:budget) add more details to standard cars,if its possible spectators and ambient details, see car mechanism if you are curious, more realistics pits, see when yor pilot press the horn, And that you can have mor camarea freedom while in a race and more tunning pieces even for standard cars.

1/4 Gran Turismo 5 in my opinion it's not the best game from the saga comparing it to before releases. Much people think it's dissapointing and part of them went to Forza, well, i am a fan of this game since GT 1 but honestly talking like a race GT stayed too much time improving in pit that forza started to have distance from GT.

If they're able to increase the amount and definition of cars, tracks... then they SHOULD be able to increase the speed in which it loads. All I know is that the Polyphony Digital team are fucking stupid + fucking suck. 10+ years of making GT games.. and they've only improved the graphics, amount of cars and amount of tracks. FAIL. No NOS, no BOV/turbo/scharge sounds, engines sound like shit, no quarter mile, no brake mods, no stage 4 turbos, fuck-all race mods, fuck-all Aus cars, long loading times, can only put rims on about 10% of cars, proper interior views on only about 10% cars.. EPIC FAIL.

Hey dipshit, forget that loading times have been around ever since the CD format has been used? If loading times were such a problem then why aren't we still using cartridges on game consoles? There's a MASSIVE difference between a 10MB cartridge to a 50GB Bluray disc. It's clearly going to take a shit ton longer to load that much data in 512MB of RAM compared to the 128Kb found in the SNES. The need to point out the obvious is clearly a requirement for your ignorant ass.

@SexualStrat That's how it's been for the past 2 decades... Do I need to repeat this? Ever since the CD format was introduced to gaming, we all had to deal with longer loading times for bigger games. The fastest way to load data these days is by installing all the assets to an available hard drive but even that doesn't eliminate loading times. It shortens them but does not eliminate them. @SexualStrat You're clearly a retard to think that they will actually take that long to load in the future. :) I'm not saying that I will accept the fact that loading times will get longer and longer (especially considering they really haven't for the past 3 generations...), but I am accepting that loading times just won't be completely eliminated. And YOU need to accept that fact as well. This isn't the 8bit era anymore. Deal with it, kiddo.

@CernaML Games have consistently taken longer to load each year/system since their birth. (Compare NES, to N64, to PS3) So I have a valid point. You still haven't answered my question.
FACT is: If game developers can increase size, then they SHOULD be able to increase speed to match! The ratio should be the SAME, not for eg. increase size by 500x and speed/loading times by just 100x. When car manufactures increase speed, they increase braking and handling abilities to suit. Get it now, child?

Solid State Drives are the fastest forms of physical media you can find but you will still experience loading times in games although fast as fuck. However, you won't find today's consoles using them for one MAIN reason. COST. You can't compare them to cars considering there are SAFETY REGULATIONS for them. derp
Plus, not all fast cars have good handling. Some even sacrifice that for speed.

@KENXFLY If men walked on the moon (decades ago).. built huge flying machines which carry hundreds of people overseas (decades ago).. built bombs which destroyed whole cities (decades ago)... one would think man - in the year 20-fucking-11 would be capable of building a fucking computer game which instantly loads. Again, if they're able to improve graphics, increase the amount of cars/tracks.. then they SHOULD be able to quicken load times. Hopefully now, YOU understand.
