I wonder if nobody explained to the Caps that a team ranked #2 in Eastern Conference cannot get knocked around the rink for 7 games of the 1st round by a team ranked #7 (and a 1-dimensional #7 team, too) and still have any hope of winning a Cup (or even getting beyond the 2nd round of the playoffs).
