@wizzywoochannel Merlin is on a high quality hypoallergic non-chicken diet. He dines on duck, venison, salmon and beef. You can certainly have some but I think you'll have to cross the pond to get it.

@jennifergwaine It's basically feathers on a stick attached with a string. I don't remember the name of it. You can get a good look at the toy in "The Cat Tent Attacks". It's not well made. I've been having to replace it at the rate of one/month. Fortunately, they are cheap. I think I'm going to try making some homemade version. If it has feathers and a string Merlin will be happy.

What a fun cat! How did you know he was allergic to chicken?

@meximurphy Working with the vet it was process of elimination. He had very bad diarrhea for weeks after I got him.. No treatment worked so the suspect was food allergies. I switched him to hypoallergenic food and the problem went away. The common ingredient in most cat foods is chicken. It's the main protein source. The other way to tell is for the cat to get allergy tests. Fortunately I didn't have to go that route.

@silverpoint16 Wow! I've always been blessed with perfectly healthy cats that didn't need anything but vaccines and worming, until my current kitty Wesley. He has feline leukemia and kidney problems, so he is on a special diet and has chronic gum problems. That's the most I've ever dealt with. He's pretty stable though, and a great cat.

OMG! Merlin is really good. Dude doesn't jump, he is into interpretative dance. Should you edit this to that song "Foot Loose", from the movie of the same name, released last month, you are sure to have a winner going viral. Maybe we can call it "Paw Loose"?

Merlin is really passionate about his dancing and I am impressed with the butt shaking, the tail flying, waist gyrating and fancy paw work. Even the tubby tummy fits in well with the choreography. You have a winner on your hands.

Perhaps you can let Merlin jump on a padded surface instead of a hard floor. he might be paying for it in the future with he is a older.. aching legs and joints etc... Just a suggestion Merlin is beautiful :)
