28 Days Later: A dark, twisted, emotional (and visually stunning) tale of a man waking up in post-infection London, trying to survive in a world now more dangerous than ever
28 Weeks Later: LOL MILITARY XD!! EXPLOSIONS!!!!1! JERMEY RENNER!! GIV US UR MUNEY!!
@Shiftdrive81 actually the infected in 28 days later are not dead as the cause is a rage virus, I can prove this by telling you the fact of real zombies is that 1 they don't starve and 2 that it is impossible for a undead corpse to run like the infected as rigorous Mortis sets in to fast for a corpse to run or sprint as in this film and causes the stiffness in zombies as seen in other zombie films so don't call someone a dumbass if you yourself don't Even know the facts to zombies .
This film appeals to me so much because its a disaster movie set in the United Kingdom, it just makes it feel more real than any where else. (as I live there too)
Yes they did, it would take around 28 months to spread across the entire continent - bearing in mind that america is still probably infection free after the continent has fallen, the story will most likely take place from the american viewpoint when the rest of the world is infected. I really don't see how a 28 months timeframe moving could work unless they were using that.
My guess is - America waits it out, then the infection is accidentally brought into america by special ops.
@OntDinRS Good premise for a sequel man! Don't forget the kid from 28 Weeks Later is a "carrier" like his mom. He may have blood to make a vaccine, but he can also transmit, even if by accident. Plenty of room for developers to make another sequel!!
@chucknorrisgawd yep slated for 2013 release check it out at IMDB. There arent any details on the release or anything yet, only that it has been given the green light. I wish Danny Boyle would headline it though. Love his films.
@shiftdrive81 Don't call other people dumbass when your wrong. They are infected, undead would mean they did die but are still functioning by something supernatural like vampires or zombies rising from a cemetary because of an apocolypse legend. Obviously 28 days wasn't the first to take the zombie premise and add science to it but they did it in a better cinematic way. (well for me)
@shiftdrive81 Actually its not dillhole. Undead means no longer alive but animated by a supernatural force, as a vampire or zombie. The infected never died but can be killed just like any other human. Get your facts straight ya dig.
best thing about this movie and what made it great. simple concept, simple music and not to many zombies or action. just the right amount of everything!
i love the part when this song kicks in while he tries to escape the out post with the 2 girls and had to kill the soldiers, putting his thumbs through a guys eyes was pure ownage.
@OntDinRS The infected from the films aren't "corpse consumers" as you say. They do not eat the dead or anything else for that matter, which is why carriers of the virus eventually succumb to starvation. I agree with you're take on the third film though. :)
@LittleZombieBoy oh i see. its a matter of preference. you prefer gore over extensive explanation, and I like movies that really explains things, even if it gets to the point where it become political. well, for you I reccomend Return of the Dead, Dawn of the dead, and the Friday the 13th movies.( Jason X is the only one I've seen so far, but the mindless violence just makes me lol)
...the creepiness continues with the fact that this particular breed of zombies run full throttle - and don't give out of breath!!! not like other z movies where you could crawl through a whole city of them just about. with these guys - wheaties don't do sheyot!!!
@LittleZombieBoy well, i suppose there could be a bit more suspense put in there. I think they also wanted to have time away from the zombies to build the characters and add in a little back story. it's not just a zombie movie, its also a movie about the human condition. as for your question about the song, i'd say it was in zombieland.
@icos211 you say that now but i guarantee you will probably be in the corner pissing yourself and holding the gun to your head. Because i probably would too
This song makes me want to kill shit!. And i don't care if it ever happens in my life time or not (god forbid it ever happens) but if it dose or not im preparing for the Zombie Outbreak!!!! and im preparing this song!!!!!!
@ThePolerbearproducts Its good to see that there are like minded people out there. Hopefully if the zombie apocolypse breaks out we meet up at a gun shop or grocery store in the country

I have a playlist when I play black ops zombie , alot of songs like this are init and a hall and oats ( you make my dreams ) its funny to play when you are the last one standing with a shot gun and fire in the beat

28 Months later, what would that be about? Maybe they'll just make a 28 hours later, where it takes place during the massive panic.
If they do make a 28 months later, I can imagine that it would follow the story of the American Continental countries trying to clear out europe, asia, and I guess Africa.

The other thing that really made the film great is that it didn't really bring on that many zombies, which left the viewer wondering when they would show up. This created an unbeatable sense of suspense. 10/10 for the film and the song
@cw5394 really? does it matter? i mean really, they have milky white eyes, they're really hostileand act on basic instinct, so they chase after people, attack them and then their victim become the same way. sure sounds like zombies to me. and no one ever said zombies have to be dead. i mean, George Romero didn't coin the term "Zombie", someone else did and the mainstream media perpetuated it. zombie, infected, its all the same.
I heard that the virus from 28 days later and so on and on was real, but it didn't turn anyone into blood thristy killing machines since they're not really zombies
@solidfreak123 Rage is based on Rabies, which exists and can infect Humans. It doesn't make the super-agressive though, and they die soon after showing symptoms.
and just in case you were wondering, here's the definition.
zombie, zombi [ˈzɒmbɪ]
n pl -bies, -bis
1. a person who is or appears to be lifeless, apathetic, or totally lacking in independent judgment; automaton
2. (Spirituality, New Age, Astrology & Self-help / Alternative Belief Systems) the snake god of voodoo cults in the West Indies, esp Haiti, and in scattered areas of the southern US
3. A tall mixed drink made of various rums, liqueur, and fruit juice.
while it's true they're not the main stream zombies that flood films, the term "zombie" doesn't necessarily mean undead either. zombies have been around much longer, i.e Haitian voodoo zombies, in which they are merely under a spell or in a trance hence the term "zombified". so it's not fair to dismiss the "infected" as not zombies though i personally prefer that term for arguments sake.
this is a awesome song

@qazwsx913 they're not zombies, it's just a similar virus. But they're not dead, the're infected with anger.
or that's what they say in the first movie. they don't kill to eat like the zombies they just kill for just killing
1221kary 7 months ago
@qazwsx913
Actually, you're wrong. They aren't zombies. They're infected.
Zombies are slowly shambling brain eaters.
Infected are fast moving, corpse consumers.
And the thin line between them, are what we call "Special Infected" or sometimes "Carriers".
Know the difference. Stay alive. ;D
OntDinRS 5 months ago
@OntDinRS The infected from the films aren't "corpse consumers" as you say. They do not eat the dead or anything else for that matter, which is why carriers of the virus eventually succumb to starvation. I agree with you're take on the third film though. :)

Correction, there are no zombies in the film. They are humans infected with the rage virus. you mad?
ezirkle90 5 months ago
@qazwsx913
Almost correct!
Except there are, you know, NO ZOMBIES IN THE MOVIE.
There are Infected, who aren't dead or undead, just contaminated with the Rage virus.
If a cure is developed, said Infected can return to being normal human beings.
Zombies, on the other hand, can't stop being DEAD.

I prefer "infected" over traditional undead zombie movies. Seems more realistic and something easier to relate to.
