  • I want I want I want ! ! ! XD

  • 1:07 super!!!

  • go Microsoft!!

  • Amazing

  • A billion dollar corporation have come up with a primitive copy of Phun but on a touchscreen - well done guys.

In a free market Microsoft would be doomed.

  • Being a huge corporation doesn't mean all your projects need to be big-budget. It didn't say anywhere that the entirety of Microsoft's resources went into creating this, so I think it's safe to say this is more likely one of many small, experimental side-projects they have going.

  • I wonder if we could use something like this for D&D?

  • I don't think you'd need a physics simulator- a simple whiteboard would do the trick, combined with the right software. On that note, I've heard that you can make a cheap whiteboard using a wiimote- there's a video about it somewhere around here, for anyone interested.

  • OMG epic

  • air hockey anyone?

  • Considering how close the nets would be, that'd make for some pretty intense air hockey.

  • it should have fluids

  • It has -_-'

  • Hi, is that flash/2d Box?

  • and what is the song's name? :D

  • This is really great. I'm working on a surface + touchscreen project that could really benefit from a physics implementation this robust. Is he thinking of making it available?

  • WOW!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't like Microsoft very much but this is simply amazing!

  • Amazing and Inspiring! I love the interaction with real Objects.

What Platform and Libraries do you use?

  • It is Dave's physics implementation for Surface. It slots in in place of the Surface ScatterView control. It could be ported to other multitouch systems like Win7 and TouchLib.

The items placed onto of the Surface are poker chips with a simple B&W coding on them which the Surface can 'see' and 'empower' correctly. The other items used are just business cards. We're pleased you like it - there is more to come, Dave's been a busy boy :-)

  • Awesome! So this is a physics engine I can use in my multitouch applications?

What are you placing on the surface to get the magnetism?
