bob dylan should stick to writing songs, this movie was terrible.

music was good, john goodman and jeff bridges were good, bob dylan's script was terrible and his "acting" was catatonic.

I love this movie but the German dubbing is kinda annoying because everybody's used to Dylan's "real" voice.

But, great movie, nevertheless. My mother is always like "I can't get the story, it's so weird!" and I don't know how to NOT get it! Well, I suppose I'll have to explain her once again ;)!

Movies are so "mainstream" and "normal" now that a completely linear and normal movie like this seems weird and hard to follow. What's so friggen complicated. A guy plays a benefit concert for a war. His dad put him in jail a long time ago for banging his mistress. Not too complicated. If you want weird try Eraserhead, El Topo or The Seventh Seal.

This movie is amazing because all the references to a whole bunch of different life lessons and philosophies its more of a literary film, not so much about the story but the symbolic story.

I have never seen a movie more hated. Seriously, people tore this thing a new one when it came out. I love it though, even if it is unbelievably self indulgent on Dylan's part.
