  • Oh for music like this in the charts now. They had taste in the 70's

  • They were a lot better with psychedelia, this is sad, Lol!

  • This aint sad, this is rock n roll man. They were the best!!!!! and still are.Such talent

is a rarity and this is why they went to the top.

  • @MrAuldphart WHAT? THIS SUCKS! IT'S SO MUCH PABLUM TO MAKE A LOT OF MONEY FOR MORE COCAINE! COME ON, THEIR PSYCHEDELIA IS SO MUCH BETTER. STUFF LIKE THIS JUST SUCKS TRYING TO COPY WINGS! IDIOTS!

  • Copy Wings? These guys were big before Wings were ever formed - dream on. Who's the idiot?

  • @lingsbord They weren't big before the Beatles or Paul McCartney!!!!!! Give credit where credit is due! But do you, no you don't? And they were much better when they did psychedelia than this watered down crap. This is what is sad about a lot of bands they suck up to make money and suck themselves later on, so piss off! You would probably do the same and it's people like you and your worthless infantile opinion that ruin music. Go watch what the crowd likes and jump off a cliff!

  • @AaronMThomason wanker.. wings were not formed when this hit the top 10

  • @streatleyred Wings (also known as Paul McCartney & Wings) were a British-American rock group formed in 1971 by Paul McCartney, Denny Laine and Linda McCartney that remained active until 1981.

  • Unfortunatley miming (both the singing and playing). Great song though.

  • very nice

  • Y cudnt this band ever make an impression in America?!

  • @djgforce11 I seen them last night and they still fcking rock big time, felt like I was back in 1986 all over AGAIN, WAS 8 THEN

  • @QUEENAHIDEKINGFISHER It's mainly 3 Chord Blues which is why a lot of it sounds similar

  • @QUEENAHIDEKINGFISHER check junior's wailing, gravy train, spinning wheel blues, gerdundula... and change your opinion.

  • q grupo, viva status quo

  • Cheap Trick..and no way a "Spinal Tap" could have come along to its writer without Status Quo to teach em how..12 Gold Bars, over an out from the Southern Hemisphere

  • The audience are such squares haha

  • yeh remember this song so well and then to see FRANCIS and RICK on T. V.made me a QUO FAN ,they were and are so goodlooking ,say no more ,

  • i see where cheap trick got there influence..

  • the mighty quo ,givin it socks, with the classic CAROLINE!!!!!

  • Show me your teeth!

  • is or has there ever been a cooler band

  • great songggggg <3

  • IF YOU DONT VOTE THIS UP YOU DONT LIKE QUO

  • best line-up from then the best rock'n'roll band in the world

hello is also by far their best album

my mother use to call me up when they were on the telly...thanks mom! god bless you

first saw them in amsterdam 1976 my favourite band when i was a kid

  • quo army.

  • Hes a bit of a poet to me anyway, though I miss the driving bass lines of the guy who was asked to leave, never been as good

  • the classic f4 from 73,caroline,this old girl still goin well 2 day 4 the mighty QUO!!!!

  • the classic f4 from 73!!!caroline,this old girl still goin wll 2day!!!!

  • I'm late 40's and loved the quo but I like all kinds of stuff even some rap JZ Eminem and too many other bands and solo-ists to mention when you stop listening to different and modern music I think makes you old like your parents were when punk ! R'n'R and all other types of music Some good stuff is still out there to be enjoyed even if they are a younger generation and no I don't mean the who!! lol

  • another 50+ still wearing denim still shakin head wait till we all meet up in heaven one almighty kickass concert ( in the interests of eqality i would like to point out that other places of eternal bliss are also available )

  • Same here, first Quo recoed I bought, saw them live at Brid Spa shortly afterwards. Been watching them live ever since.

  • 0:18, Mr Coghlan smiles!!

  • sorry to offend the quo just trying to say thin lizzy are fucken great as well see you later gone back to lizzy land byeeeee!!!!!

  • @kakeeey Gary and phil will be re-united in that big old stage in the sky

  • come on you cant be serious; THIN LIZZY are way more QUALITY guitar players than these THREE cords quo can only switch over and see the light ; eg;emerald;bad reputation see for yourself!!!

  • @kakeeey Check out "Who gets the love" or "Rock 'till you drop". Now tell me again that Quo are a 3 cords band.

  • they wrote that song on the back of a napkin

  • Comment removed

  • so simple so good can it be done.. thanx quo z cool done ---

  • thin lizzy better than quo !! what a crap !!

  • @MrVossie18 THIN LIZZY has only one good record * whiskey in the jar and then what ?I LIKE STATUS QUO

  • @walter4092 Check your "facts" about Thin Lizzy. Heard of & has are two different words :P

  • @Thisisfrea pfffffffff status quo has more hits than Thin Lizzy , and i looked at your profile , you live in Netherland

    that s no good :-))))))))))))

  • @walter4092 Reading isn't your thing isn't it :') If you'd checked my profile closely, you'd also see that i actually like Status Quo.... but Thin Lizzy as well ;). And you live in... Belgium :')... whaaaaa :D

  • @Thisisfrea belgians tend to be retarded

  • Love the quo:)

  • give it a break THIN LIZZY are heaps more talented than these guys;

  • @kakeeey Ah, what you've here chap, is confuse talent with entertainment. Pink Floyd were more talented too but when all you want is a bloody goods knees up, this lot win every time. If I wanted some culture I'd rock up to a live showing from Tangerine Dream.....then probably go and watch the South Bank Show on the telly.

  • @tstanb Entretainment is also a form of talent.

  • @kakeeey Well, the Quo had more album sales than Thin Lizzy! And they are considered one of the best band in the world, without having succes in the US. Now that's something. Only the Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Genesis, AC/DC and Queen outsold the Quo.

  • in my day you could jump up on stage and dance right in front of Quo, that is what you would call ENTERTAINMENT..

  • I took out Maria and ingraved Caroline on my granma's tombstone in honor of this song.

  • amazing at how there image changed from 1968 picture of matchstick men to this and it shows how they are progressing into heavier stuff

  • takes me back to my childhood.... still good as gold!

  • I just came across this track flicking through youtube, I totalling forgot how good Quo was, listing to this track took me back to my childhood, still gold!

  • Parfitt is amazing.

  • Good old British boogie... can't beat it.

  • keep on rocking boy,s

  • Saw Parfitt in a London once. Good guy. Also liked Ray Davies. Natural.

  • I loved Quo and Quatro when I was about 12 or so. I moved on to stuff like Deep Purple and Rainbow but I'll always love this stuff.

  • Great stuff!!

  • I re-named myself in honor of this song. Top that.

  • Is there anyone more addictive than THE QUO?

  • @hanquo6006

hehehee, you beat me. I´m 50, bougt my first S Q record (a single, roll over&lay down) -74. It was a amazing song! It was better then watching the girls, almost. First i didnt have the money to bye the singel so the shop owner let me listen to the record until payday. I really long for Mr Lancaster & Coghlan. How are they, anyone?

S Q played in Eskilstuna -74, i think. I had the money but i went to the movies with a girl. Shes mother of 3 & fat now. & not the mother to my kids..

  • @hanquo6006 Man you took the words right out of my mouth............same age.. same time.. ex Islington boy................still loving it across the other side of the pond.......The big pond that is....... QUOMONGOUS!!

  • Classic Quo, my bread & butter when I was learning about rock music!

  • Go the Quo...........loved these dudes for nearly 40 yrs.

  • Pure Rock and Roll... no more needs to be said...

  • This should be prescribed on the National 'ealth........................ Would cheer you up in no time! Imagine that? Take Caroline 3 times a day! If Quo are an institution then lock me up now!!!!!!!!!!

  • only 119,000 views?? so sad ...this video should have at least a couple of million views!!

  • this f+cking yeeaah!!!!

  • They were the beswt and they still are! Just last week they played in a small place in Sweden and it still sounds as good!!! They are just the best!!!

  • i took my 15 yr old son to see quo a couple of years ago , it was his first gig, what an introduction to rock and roll!!!

  • @bowen1966

Well a good one, this is classical in our time...

    And maybe 30 years ago!!!

    And still, it's good muzic,

a true passion for the the true..

(show us anyone of today's groups who will be listened like this in 30 years!)

  • the real Quo - with alan lancaster on bass and john coghlan on the drums

  • @hellosuzie123 well said mate...long live the quo!

  • First Quo record I bought. Paper Plane got my interest but this nailed it for me.

    Been a Quo fanatic since.

  • If you hate them why looking at this video????

  • New Forest Chapter...remember

  • Yur talking real rock n roll here boyz , not that artificial shite pumped out these days.

  • So that's what Lemmy did before forming Hawkwind haha

  • Ive been a Quo fan for the last 25 years, I find it Ironic that I should meet and Marry a Woman named Caroline. I never set out to do that :D

  • FRANCIS ROSSI WAS SO HANDSOME

  • They had a very successful hard rock boogie sound, but it is a pity they are only known in the USA for their psychedelic single Pictures of Matchstickmen in 1968. This type of music should have worked well with American audiences.

  • @fumetti Problem was that a number of bands were coming out of the South in this period that were for all intents and purposes, set on taking things WAY farther.

  • @jp28hc True that! I'm a die hard southern rock fan but find some stuff a bit boring now, like endless soloing-Allman BB (and I play guitar). This is very melodic ,dynamic and sweet.

  • this aint fuck'n rap crap..............AND THATS A GOOD THING.

  • yhe only real quo line, was lucky to see them once before jc left ,and every time they visit belfeast since, though beleive it should be half price as only half the quo playing, true fans missing alans song writing and true hard bass playing

  • they're miming..

  • Yep they all did then.

This whole album was brilliant, not like the rubbish they produce now.

This is one band that has gone down hill though they still rock

  • awsome love this song!!!!!

  • love the old stuff new stuff a bit lame, but thats my opinion

  • the rock beginnign of the " favorite four" !!

  • Sexy ass song. They don't write em like this anymore! Heh!

  • Love it! Quo are the best at being live!! :)

  • Quo were great live and still are today, however I was 17 when this was shown on TOTP in 1973 and they were miming. Their Guitars were not plugged in this video, it was 20 years + before wireless technology was avaiable, also at the time the BBC wanted stars to sound the same as the studio recording.

  • GENIALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

  • Brilliant song i play on my electric guitar ,and i love Status Quo and still rockin ! love Shirls xx

  • Quo are a good band to help you learn the guitar; it's best not to get out of ones depth at the start. Ramones are another band without too many complicated riffs. Good luck with the guitar girly.

  • I wish I could Curse.....Fekin class....

  • I know Status Quo since 1974 with Caroline song and I stil love that Band, Fantastic !!

Waldir Candelária - SP - Brazil

  • I Know SQuo since 1974 with Caroline song and I still love that band - fantastic!!

Waldir Candelária - São Paulo - Brazil

  • I met the original Status Quo in Corn Exchange, Devizes in 1971. Lovely lads. Quo and I had a chat for about over an hour in their dressing room. They were so full of fun and they had a great sense of humour. They still have now. (John the drmmer was the quiet one).

  • 1973 oh god im going back to bed,so old but class

  • good song bad group

  • STFU quo are the best(Y)

  • Parfitt's hair perfect as always.

    Quo 'll never die!

Can't wait till they come to Holland again!

  • The did in 1981 when John Coghlan wasn't in the band anymore.

  • that's called music

  • Fuck me I am gettin old!!!!! these boys look like kids LOL

  • mind numbing. in a good way :o
