Nicely done. Since the tempo is marked 144+, and the they perform this faster, that means they are spot on. Any faster and you start to lose the harmonic integrity. It's a great work though.

No. It's a song from The Planets suite by Gustav Holst. I think it was Jupiter.

Just goes to show how many of the most contemporary composers are recycling the music of older composers as opposed to generating anything original. e.g. John Williams is reminiscent of Tchaikovsky in quite a bit of his music.

well I think it is played at the right tempo. The other groups I have heard seem to make it boring. I think this group has the technical ability to do it at this tempo.

yeah. when i listen to most of the other recordings of this on youtube, they are much slower. however, i personally played it much faster, so even this one seems a tad slow to me.

well there is a difference between playing it fast with clarity vs. fast without the clarity. I believe this group plays it at an adequate tempo with extreme clarity and class. This is definitely a group yours should model after.
