I did what I saw on another video...aimed right of target, closed the club face to aim at the target, used my normal swing plane which was right of target....ball goes out right of target and comes back on and pretty much dead down the center of what I mark as my 'fairway' on the range (I use two rows of markers about 30 yards apart that are lined up pretty well).
Fantastic draw shots right back on target after going way out right.
@sonicdeviant Ball starts where the shoulder line is pointing. Clubface determines where the ball is going to finish. Shoulder line leads swingpath, therefore club face does not determine where the ball starts, but where it lands. All the best.
@TheCracksLeinho That goes against what every conventional teacher states, including Hank Haney: "Ball's initial direction is 75% determined by where the club face points and the other 25% comes from the path" (Path would be shoulder line as you stated)
Maybe a feathery ball starts more on the path of the club due to the coefficient of restitution that it has but with modern golf balls the ball starts where the face points not the path. If the face is pointed at the flag at impact & the path of the club is to the right of the flag the ball will start toward the flag then curve left of the flag. Look up (Ball Flight Laws from Golf Evolution) on youtube search.
Just got back from the range.

Love it!

This is wrong. Ball starts where the face points. Curve is difference between path and club face.

If the clubhead ever goes OUTSIDE the target, you have a 90% chance of a shank. Be warned!! Never swing outside the target line.
