But, personally, I don't loose any sleep over them.I'm no scientist, but I've read many books and papers on cosmology and astronomy, simply because they facinate me. There are a lot of good hypothosies as to if this universe is all there is, or a multiverse, or as Leonard Susskin puts it a "cosmic landscape", but so far, with our limited technology, they are just hypothosies. Maybe one day we'll find out!

I have no problem as a Christian with, the big bang theory, evolution etc. God is not limited in how He creates. The world has been a very unstable place for the majority of it's lifespan, but for the last few thousand years, us humans have been placed here & allowed to enjoy God's blessings in this small window of calm. But, personally, I don't loose any sleep over them.I'm no scientist, but I've read many books and papers on cosmology and astronomy, simply because they facinate me. There are a lot of good hypothosies as to if this universe is all there is, or a multiverse, or as Leonard Susskin puts it a "cosmic landscape", but so far, with our limited technology, they are just hypothosies. Maybe one day we'll find out!

Except that there's a deep running contradiction between the Jewish interpretation and the Christian interpretation.
Because if you don't believe in the Trinity, but accept what John said to be true in I believe it was chapter 5,
Then No one has seen the face of God.
But you have to accept that Moses has seen the face of God. This is only permissible under the Christian interpretation with the whole "Holy Spirit" nonsense. Whereas the Jews believe that Moses saw the actual face of Yaweh.

This is a direct contradiction to the Jewish Faith from which Christianity sprung. In fact, there's some rather good documentaries about the Samaria/Judea rivalry.
And yes, several generations could indeed be wrong. We all accept that Valhalla doesn't exist, do we not? And yet millions of Norse people lived and died "knowing" that they would be reborn, to fight in glory beside Odin and Freya and Thor in Valhalla. You also I take it do not accept the Hindu idea of Reincarnation?

Except that the Jews don't believe in a Tripartite God. They hold that Yaweh showed himself to Moses as himself. "My name is I am". Samaritans started Christianity, and through them it's purported that Yeshua was the only one to ever see God in the gospel of John.
This runs entirely contradictory to Jewish thinking, since they don't believe in Jesus, at least as far as believing him to be the son of God or at all divine. THIS IS A CONTRADICTION.

The source material says that Moses saw God. The Revised material says no one has seen God but Yeshua. However, people still follow the source to this day, convinced that Moses saw Yaweh. Why?
BECAUSE THERE'S NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT EITHER SIDE OF THE DEBATE.
THAT is what all Biblical, hell, I'll even generalize and say all religious arguments boil down to. Two opposing sides, no evidence, and usually, a whole lot of bloodshed.
That's why I remain unconvinced.

True, though I'll never debate the possibility of a God, as there is always a possibility; however, I will always question the necessity, and the likelihood of one. Which, by the way, so far, are looking slim, according to M-theory.
I require evidence to be sufficiently swayed in an argument. If God doesn't want to provide me any, then he clearly wants me to be an Atheist. He's had plenty of chances, I've gone to services before, I've prayed before as a youth, and yet, it seems he doesn't care.

The wicked live better because they take advantage of other people. Something that's wholeheartedly agreed to be bad by just about everyone, except the people who do it. Why do they do it? I don't know, I'm not them, but it's probably due to bad prioritizing and a lack of empathy.
They're willing to do detestable things in order to get places, because they believe that getting places will mean something.

Oh right, none of them can. The funny thing is, that most Christian Historians circa the first century AD (I.E. the First Christians) Believed that Jesus was a metaphorical figure, something of an example that man could never be, but should always strive to attain.
It wasn't until the second generation at around 120 AD came along that people started saying that Yeshua was a real man who lived on Earth.

Funnily enough, Yahweh himself wasn't originally thought up as a Monotheistic God. He was taken from the Ancient Sumerian Pantheon of Gods. He was the God of War. The ancient Jews separated Yahweh from the Sumerian edict and went monotheistic. That is why the Old Testament uses phrases like "We shall make man in our image." in Genesis.
And Yeshua was never mentioned by name in the OT. Funny how that works. Vague descriptions are written about prophecies, then four thousand years later...

My Education happens to be regarding Historians of the time. There's a documentary you should watch, though I doubt you will, called The Empty Cross: Why Jesus Didn't Exist. It lays things out in a simple and easy to understand manner, while laying the base for further research, if you're so inclined. (Like I was)
And why would I hate God? I don't believe he exists. I hate the dogmatic followers who refuse to hear anything that isn't praising his name.

Which it so far hasn't. Which I honestly doubt it ever will. But if it does, then my views will change, based on scientific observation. You on the other hand have an answer for everything. You claim God is behind it all. And when we ask for any evidence of this, you say "God is not to be tested" and expect us all to nod our heads and follow along like sheep, agreeing that this is a good idea, when history has proved time and time and again that beliefs without evidence lead to bloodshed.

And yet you expect me to take your word for it, when there are thousands of other faiths all around the globe that preach the same thing. Yet yours is special because you say it is.
