the Baucus plan she is agreeing to is a traitors pact -- they stuffed their pockets with millions from insurance lobbyists so insurance can dictate how insurance will reform itself by mandating insurance for everyone on their terms.

She and Baucus, McCaskill, Lieberman, and Nelson should be hung in the street by their toes. this country has gone crazy -- i don't see any hope for anything good in any of it. put bs in a flowery hat and call it partisan reform -- its not working for me.

You have to listen between da lines. To me, it sounds like she's signaling her own willingness to compromise, even on da public option. She didn't specifically indicate her absolute rejection of da PO, instead she focused on her favored policy and a compromise on subsidies for poor people.

Snowe may vote against reform, but she does not want to appear to be obstructionist. When it comes down to it, you'll get da public option with 60 votes, or you'll get it with 51 votes.
