i have a couple questions about lip reduction since i am thiking of doing this.

1) how long before you see actual results

2) how long does it take for the sutures to fall off?

3) how long would i have to be on a liquid diet after the procedure?

4) what are the down falls/side effects/complications that can come with a lip reduction?

5) is this performed under local anasteshia?

@peanutsmarcie 1) typically immediately but swelling gets worse in the next week. i would say on average 2 weeks but swelling continues to improve thereafter. 2) typically 1 to 2 weeks. 3) 3 days 4) scarring (very rare and easy to manage), numbness (can be prolonged), asymmetry (rare), removing too much or too little (that is why you have to have someone who is experienced), and bad design of reduction (again experience counts), 5) yes. my dental block is so good you will not feel the block.
