  • Fantastic tribute. Inspirational.

  • So many still miss you Darren!!!..i haven't forgotten...and i'm just a nobody...all these images are imprinted on my retina until the day i join you there on the top floor of that highest skyscraper.

  • "I choose to live my life to a different tune of music, one which is not censored or wrapped up so much with a blanket of over regulation,Health and Safety gone mad (because these days it has),fear and blind compliance to anything you are told to do..a blanket so thick, that you no longer can hear the music. If I'm injured, you'll hear me blaming only one person..myself. It's acceptance of personal responsibility for my actions,a quality that's very much lacking in society these days."-Downfallen

  • What he achieved and the places he visited were truly insperational, the shear will to push boundries is just amazing. I can only live in envy knowing I will never manage the majority of what he did. I did not know him but my hat comes off with the greatest of respect for him. He should be an inspiration to all.

  • fantastic contributor on the skyscrapercity forum .unbelievable photos.cheers fella r.i.p

  • This video is SICK! Seriously... I was dreading moving to London in two years and I'm now thoroughly excited about all the building sites, abandoned buildings and beautiful sites.

Very sorry about the loss of your friend. Beautiful dedication.

  • Amazing footage of a great photographer and explorer. If I had 1% of his nerve and skill I'd be a happy man. His photographs are an inspiration. RIP

  • This video gives me chills, sounds like he was a really great bloke and he had some serious skills with a camera

  • Peace out Downfallen, you are legend. Thanks for putting this together JanEmil.

  • a massive fan of his work. used a fair bit in research of many an urbex project, inspirtational stuff.

  • A lot of the photos in this pic I recognise, as I am in them, and we had an absoluetly amazing jam packed weekend of exploration one weekend in december 2007. RIP

  • why is his face always blanked?

  • @tommybritain because they wer in derelict places doing urban exploring and they shouldnt of been ther basically :)

  • @tommybritain

because BASE jumping is illegal in many(most) countries.

  • Yesterday we said our final goodbyes Darren, Downfallen, Zoter, whatever you called him (I certainly had a few other names for him now and again!) His parents have been shown all your kind words. I had the privilege of sharing many mad nights with him climbing around buildings and sometimes jumping off them. I have the pleasure of appearing in this video, his Best of 2007 compilation. May it inspire all of you to get out there and do stuff: its all out there for us and more. Cheers big fella.

  • Robseyful sent me a private message saying :"Blimey. You ain't got a clue. The guy was an arrogant prick and being humble was something he could never be accused of."

  • Just looking at the pictures in his posts is utterly mesmerizing. Art of the highest order. A complete stranger providing the biggest of vicarious thrills.

    An amazing talent.

  • We miss you DownFallen,you were incredibly talented,your contribution was so valuable.Most importantly, from what I've heard,you were a gr8 guy,humble and nice.Gone too soon.We'll never forget you dude...RIP

  • I never met him, but admired his work for the last few years. This video is a fitting tribute to a true legend in his field. It brings images and video of adventure and energy that 99.999% of us will never experience becuase we don't have the guts or the skill. RIP downfallen, he won't be buried he will be whisping around in the wind somewhere high above London. I wish I had to courage to do 1% of the things he had done.
