I can certainly see why these two divorced! In the remake, much of why they separated is explained through exposition, but here it's obvious. The two can't be alone in a room without ripping into each other.
@bloodboy235 I wouldn't say they wanted to rip each other apart, I don't know about you but I feel it was more of a "sexual tension" type of argument. I'm 22 and I still prefer the original over the remake because I found they watered down the characters so much in the remake. Maggie is a much stronger character than Elizabeth in the remake. Maureen portrays such a feisty strong willed character and I just love that! :) I still like the remake but not on the same level as the original.
@Sam7svu its not that she isnt strong willed its that she is more logical in how she acts and more relaxed maggie just acts like the bitch from hell and thats your opinion and i understand and respect it i hope you respect my opinion that i think the remake is better
@bloodboy235 I would respect your opinion more if you could explain your reasoning without the use of foul words. Only gives me more faith in my love of the original. It's class of a whole different generation.
Gees so the 60's arguing like that gees. At least in the newer version with Lindsey Lohan the adults did not behavior like poor role model idiots arguing at the moment they saw each other. They just jumped right into arguing without even explaining first. Maybe thats why the 60's produced such idiot dysfunctional families. Gees. Happy that is past and hopefully the children of these are able to get out of it and communicate. Gees.

@KatyHallow what i'm wondering, is how'd they get married in the first place...
SaltwaterAir1 2 weeks ago
the 2nd one is better cause at least when those parents met they were happy to see each other and talk these 2 just want to rip each other apart

@bloodboy235 Family quarrels were different back then, I guess.
starrbeatlesqueen 3 months ago
@bloodboy235 There's reason for that. The dad is so darn stubborn than the one in the remake.
starrbeatlesqueen 3 months ago
@bloodboy235 And another reason. The mom didn't show up at the dad's house in the remake.

@starrbeatlesqueen true still the remake is better

Judging by the size of the cups in that bra, Maureen O'Hara was one of those full-figured gals!! GADS!! She had big gazongas!!
