  • Brilliant cover. <3

  • THIS IS THE SECOND KURT COBAIN..!!!!!

  • JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!!!!!

  • someone said that Kurt didnt kill himself, and he is just the same person with name of Seether. it kicked me back from realities...

  • sounds a lot like kurt

  • musica muito legal

  • Best cover

  • @ jukeboxhero161

I broke down at the end!

  • I think It's about Kurt's relationship with his dad. Kurt ran away from his father's (and mother's house) and lived underneath the bridge. Kurt didn't like his stepmother or her kids a lot and they were in the way of him having a relationship with his dad

I'm taking what I got from 'Heavier than Heaven'

  • @waitingfortherain1 Great freaking book <3

  • @waitingfortherain1 Great freaking book <3

  • Really close to Kurt. Awesome! But Kurt always will be better, sorry Shawn ^^"

  • Kut Cobain Rocks and rules the roost............but Shawn hits it off mon this Classic

  • Too fast

  • Tad bit fast

  • A valiant effort, not quite there, but still very enjoyable

  • @00EMU00

I'm not even going to mention that this song is on Nevermind, but also, i'm pretty sure this song was written by Kurt about the all the times he had nowhere to live so he slept under a bridge in his town.

  • @00EMU00 TRACK 12 OFF NEVERMIND WRITTEN BY KURT COBAIN. YOU SIR ARE AN IDIOT

  • @00EMU00 yes they did record it, it's on the nevermind album...

  • I love this song but I wish he had down it more like the Unplugged version.

  • @00EMU00

Really now? who did it before nirvana ?

  • Nothing like doing a cover of a song and making it sound EXACTLY the same as the original instead of bringing a bit of your own sound to it. Oh wait, Seether doesn't really have their own unique sound. The just vent their inspiration in a watered down way. Seether gives such a narrow perspective about what Nirvana was.

  • @spawn22222 its amazing in his own way they have different styles and prblems you hear it in there voices ....

  • this is auddioswapped ? ._.

  • @yeshuaisraeli no it isnt?

  • think kurt left this world and some how came back and jumped into shawn and formed seether.

  • what do these lyrics 'really' mean? if anything? there fucking twisted

  • @Whyrweherereally It's not really known. But some have speculated it may about Kurt's time being homeless and living under a bridge.

  • @Radicaldreamer255 when was he homless exactly? i think i vaguely remember hearing about that when he left his parents house when they divorced or something

  • oh wow hes playing one chord... how talented...

  • @slimshady1997ful Actually it's two. But why does that matter? This song is proves you can write a beautiful song with limited chords.

  • what are the chords to the intro/verse?

  • @dylankrolick Either Em E and C.

    It depends who you ask.

Although it looks as though he's playing this in some sort of open tuning.

  • @dylankrolick just drop d than open to bar 4 for main line, chorus bar 4,open and D,just watch kurt play it in unplugged

  • whoever dislikes this song should be eaten by fish!

  • @LT1N87 why fish?

  • *oh cus of the lyrics, nvrmd

  • We recently covered "On A Plain" in honor of the 20th anniversary of Nevermind. Have a listen and let us know what you think (it's titled "Chariots On A Plain Of Fire"). If you like, check out our other songs and videos. Thanks!

  • This is the most depressing song on the planet.

  • I'm listening to this while doing sth at another tab and I thought this must be Kurt!

  • this stupid song makes no sense

  • @stupidMercy this song makes plenty of sense. you go be homeless, depressed, and shuned by your family, in the early 90's/late 80's and come to me and tell me this song makes no sense. what makes no sense is why didnt your father wear a condom???

  • @JoetheXtreme Nope sorry still makes no sense. But your attack is gonna make me cry

  • @JoetheXtreme lol i laughed so hard when i read this.....especially the part where you go " why didnt your father wear a condom??? " lollol

  • Comment removed

  • @stupidMercy listen retard, this song is pure genius. Clearly its too deep for your mind to comprehend. Dont you dare talk about Kurts poetry in that way.

  • Kurt would b Proud <3 Seether RULES <3

  • talk about giving the song the justice it deserves... Nirvana are the owners, the rightfull players.. The best performers of the song.. but This version does give it justice and respect to the way Nirvana played it.. Thumbs way up!

  • i put this song while i was doing something else and by the end of the song i thought oh shit it sounded so much like nirvana i forgot it was a cover!! haha :)

  • Def. Not nirvana, but probably the best cover of this song that I've heard, love it

  • the best cover

  • this is amazing. both their versions are so heartbreaking and full of emotion. love it <3

  • I like nirvana and yea kurts & shauns voices sound the same but I love Seether, shauns voice is so much powerful then kurts ever was. need I say their not wanna bees or spin offs they have their own music, lyrics, and experiences that help them create Seether! So screw everyone who says their wannabes! stop hating cuz if it wasn't for Seether we wouldnt be able to hear nirvanas song covered so amazingly! Just our CDs, radio , & others trying to cover nirvana song poorly/badly.

  • beautiful. Hard to copy Nirvana, so he doesn't but makes it fit how much he feels it...

  • Nirvana song still be remember for very2 long time... im growing up with NIRVANA songs...

  • nirvanamaniac...so true! i love it!

  • he kind of sounds like Cobain, but not NEAR as good.

nobody can sing any Nirvana songs as Kurt.

  • Arguing on the internet is like the special Olympics. Even if you win you're still a retard.

  • He sounds alot like Kurt....Eerie

  • I love the fact that everytime Shaun sings a Nirvana Tribute, you can see that he puts his whole soul into paying homage to the greatest songs of an entire generation... Bravo Shaun... Bravo...

  • He must have bad teeth or a speech impedement cuz iv always thought he sang funny

  • @NirvanaNerd364 Oh, you're such a retarded backward, stupid, obtuse, & ineffective person for saying that. He doesn't sound one bit funny. Seether is one of the greatest bands right now. Love 'em.

  • @musicgladiator Ok fucknut you could have just said hey dont offend the band i like Jesus!you dont hafta be a dick/bitch about it.

  • This Guy tries to Much to look like kurt cobain and well only Kurt can play something in the way

  • Isn't it obvious that Shaun Morgan is the better singer than Kurt Cobain was? I mean Nirvana was brilliant but not AS brilliant.... I actually like this Cover more than the original. So well done Shaun.

  • the important point of all this , is to enjoy this song nothing more , if you dont like this, well dont fuck around and get a life. you are fucking bored.

  • Amazing cover! And I noticed Shaun didn't have his piercing back then (: lol

  • Seether are amazing... and is it soo bad he loves this song enough to play it live! i mean he has the voice for it..

personally i think he's fecking nailed it to a tee!

id rather him do it and make it sound as amazing as it does than some fucking teenie bopper from fucking McFly or Busted and destroy this classic song!

hats of to him for doing it.. it takes guts to play such an iconic Nirvana song!

  • Why do people bitch about wannabe stuff about him...go bitch about miley cyrus's smells like teen spirit cover.

  • hes the closest guy to sound like Kurt or that guy Gwen stafani married

  • i bet if Shaun wasnt famous and was just some random dude that put a cover up people would dog him and call him a poser including the people that stick up for him lol

  • @BlackenedRedemption No they wouldn't. Look at that young guy that sounds exactly like Aaron Lewis. No one calls him a poser.

  • @DayTripper540 What young guy?

  • @BlackenedRedemption Otan Vargas.

  • i fucking dont get it why the hell are you talking about a band like puddle of mudd below this great song.

this is classic. Shaun does an excellent cover.

classic like Nirvana. classic like Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers or the Foo Fighters. and many more.

but puddle of mudd......let me think..........................hey wtf is wrong with you?

  • This seems like channeling! Like he's the medium of Kurt - because he sounds exactly like him. So great, but it scares the shit out of me XD

  • Has anyone ever thought maybe kurt was his hero? What you need to ask yourself is who are YOU trying to sound like. Listen to the song.

  • Loves this! sounds close to the original :)

  • Sounds to much like Kurt I love seether but seether couldn't replace nirvana

  • there's not many artists who can cover Nirvana without fucking it up. I believe Shaun Morgan's rendition was a nice cover and tribute. not many people know this about Seether, but they're a South African band. how many rock bands do you get from South Africa breaking into the music scene nowadays?

  • puddle of mudd is more like the nirvana of the 21st century but there really is no nirvana of te 21st century

  • @axel4clover1 Puddle of Mudd is nothing like Nirvana. that's such a bad comparison.

  • @aidenmccloskey you are fucking retarded if you cant see the influence,

  • @axel4clover1 no i can see the influence - however that doesn't make them anything like Nirvana. Nirvana's on a completely different level from Puddle of Mudd and they're a few cuts above them without a shadow of a doubt. Nirvana has more emotion, more originality, better substance and depth. Puddle of Mudd is a nothing more or less than a cheap imitation of Nirvana. to compare them as the 21st century version of Nirvana is an insult.

  • @aidenmccloskey Nirvana's my favorite band ever, but who looks more like nirvana seether or puddle of mudd, two i get where you are coming from there will NEVER be another Nirvana without Kurt Cobain like there will NEVER be another Doors without Jim Morrison but dont discredit puddle of mudd have you ever listened to coming clean in it's entirety its a great album is it Nevermind or bleach hell no but they dont suck, neither does seether for that matter good musics good music and thats that

  • @axel4clover1 'who looks more like nirvana seether or puddle of mudd' - what does that have to do with anything? that's entirely irrelevant.

  • @aidenmccloskey it is relevant douche bag

  • @axel4clover1 how is it relevant? it proves nothing, has nothing to do with what we were talking about/debating. 'douche bag' is one of the most overused insults, it's lost all meaning when anybody uses it now, try again.

  • @aidenmccloskey you probably get called a douche bag alot thats why its lost all meaning to you, let's try something new how about cockgoblin

  • Respond to this video... oh yeah it's relevant because puddle of mudd got their look from nirvana, so did a hundred other post grunge bands

  • @axel4clover1 we weren't discussing which band looked more like Nirvana. i was discussing why Nirvana were nothing like Puddle of Mudd musically - you were losing the argument and brought in 'who looks more like nirvana seether or puddle of mudd' as a point (which is completely invalid) because you were losing the argument. you're a fucking moron.

  • @aidenmccloskey puddle of mudd album coming clean clearly sounds like nirvana, im not lossing the argument your a dumbass have you even read what you have written you havn't proven me wrong whatsoever

    douchebag

  • @axel4clover1 so now you've jumped from discussing which band looks more like Nirvana between Seether and Puddle of Mudd (which was completely irrelevant to our initial debate on why Puddle of Mudd are nothing like Nirvana musically) and now you've changed the subject yet again to the Puddle of Mudd album 'Coming Clean.' which you've never mentioned before in any of your previous comments. you're a moron. pick up a Nirvana CD, listen to it and you'll find it sounds nothing like Coming Clean.

  • i think its sad that so manny people gett pissed, whenever a band does a nirvana cover.

    im a huge kurt fan,and i think that its a tribute .

otherwise his music would be forgotten, not by us the fans ,but the new generation.

  • Seether is the ONLY band who can do a great cover of Nirvana!

  • this fat-idiot is for covering Nirvana as for me having a 15 inch boner

  • @guitarFAIL Your username says it all buddy:)) FAIL FAIL FAIL

  • when i look at covers of other bands you never see this shit like nobody can replace .... its really just the 'wannabe' Nirvana fans. because they cant accept kurts desciscions and how he lived. just accept it. enjoy this. live your live like you want. but dont go trolling on video's about Kurt never being replaced.

and this video is great, seether is great. and theyre nirvana covers are great!

cant you guys just be happy that there are still people who can make this awesome music(and recreate)

  • He isn't Kurt, not at all, and he never will be, but this gives me chills. He sounds so much like him that I cried. Damn. Since it is impossible for me to ever see Kurt play, it makes me feel good to know that there is still talent like he showed around.

  • well. nobody. NOBODY. can replace Kurt.

but shit man, that is really close here. o_o

  • nobody can replace kurt

  • That was crazy. I didn't think i'd hear anything so close to Kurt.

  • dumb asses leaving stupid comments on here ...

  • Can't you people just appreciate someone that is showing appreciation for someone else's music? This is an amazing cover, plain and simple.

  • when was this??? what year?

  • aww man i broke the like button it wont go up anymore :c

  • if shaun wanted to be a kurt wannabe he would have made a nirvana tribute band. seether is a great band that make epic records.

  • @magggot000 lol you do know that thats what shaun did at first? he covered all Nirvana songs and thats about it then he went into Saron Gas when he started to break way from the covers and more original songs. then after legal issues they changed their name to Seether. BUT he did basically have a tribute band for Nirvana and to this day he still covers some of their songs. IN other words "Seether" was a cover band they covered Nirvana =]

  • @FateWithinReason haha i didnt no that as iv not been into seether for that long. cheers for the info dude

  • this is for all you idiots that are comparing Seether, Shaun Morgan and Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Kurt Cobain if he was still alive would still be making awesome music. But he's not. Seether is a post grunge band that makes music their way. The words to the songs are great and relatable. Also, they aren't all toungue in cheek the way many Cobain songs were. They have different styles. Grow up and like the band for the way they move you, and speak to you

  • damn.. simply awesome..

  • i love nirvana and seether and when i found out seether did nirvana covers i bout jizzed my pants.

  • Why cant you love both? I do, Seether is the nirvana of the 21st Century!

  • @PPVHighlightz i love seether to man

  • @PPVHighlightz And crack cocaine is the heroin of the 21st century, doesn't make it right...

  • @PPVHighlightz DON'T YOU EVER SAY THAT EVER AGAIN.

Seether will never, ever touch Nirvana's fame.

They are a good band, but hell no.

    They're no Nirvana.

  • @immissworld94 You are right about this, Nirvana won't come back anymore. There will be new great bands in the future, maybe even new musical revolutions, but Nirvana's music is marked in the history of rock music and rightfully so. Now we have to wait for the next original bands that create legendary mark in the history like Nirvana did. It is possible but it requires originality, good songs and timing and all that.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos I totally agree.

I'm just sick of all of this, "Shaun is the next Kurt yadayada."

It bothers me to no end.

  • @immissworld94 Kurt Cobain was the previous Shaun Morgan.

  • @A7X027 The Shaun Morgan is just a copy of Kurt Cobain.

  • @PPVHighlightz there is no other nirvana and never will be.

  • @PPVHighlightz No, they are just Nirvana wannabee's.

  • @PPVHighlightz: I understand your enthusiasm about your being fond of this band but they are not the Nirvana of the 21st century...hate to break that truth to you. Seether is a Nirvana spin off. Nirvana (had Kurt not taken the route that he took) would have taken the solo route if he were alive and his music was planned to evolve probably to a taste that would have not fit yours. You only like Seether because of the spin off effect they give you of the band you never understood and never will.

  • @30SecondDogWalk I don't get it with you little faggots....ok so Seether isn't a damn copy of Nirvana.. first of all have you ever hears their songs? i don't see how songs like Fuck it. Remedy or Truth are any similar to any Nirvana song out there. Yes they are greatly influenced by Nirvana that doesn't make them a spin off..Shaun seems to have a similar voice to Kurts that does not make this band a spin off. This band is nothing but another Successful post grunge band. Not a copy of Nirvana.

  • @kingstomman straight da fuck up!

nirvana & seether r two totally different bands with awsome fucken music.. love em both bra

  • @kingstomman finally some 1 speaks the truth and it top comment thank u

  • shaun is fucking faget ass bitch who copied kurtcobain if shaun died no one would fucking care bitches shaun has sold million of records and he is mention in the 100 greatest songwriters like kurt cobain when shaun has sold million of recoreds and is actually known for his own songs then then you can talk shit bitch shaun is not even close to kurt made his on songs

  • I like Shaun way more than Kurt.

Love them both though. - Shaun just has so much more to give in my opinion.

  • I LIKE THIS SONG

  • he does sound a lot like kurt, but this is still great

  • DUDES

This is shit , that Seether sings This Song, i really don't know how you, guys, but me, for eg, i really don't feel that feeling when i listen to Kurt's singing and just because anybody can feel that what Kurt felt when he sang and played this song: He Live Underneath The Bridge, not someone else , Nirvana, Kurt - they are not incomparable to Seetehr or some one else because Kurt was and is his self

MISS-LOVE YOU SO MUCH, MAKES ME SICK

  • AWESOME COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANYONE WHO SAYS HE'S A KURT WANNA BE IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! THIS IS SHAUNS VERSION, EXACTLY THE WAY HE USUALLY SINGS, HE'S NOT TRYING IN ANYWAY TO SOUND LIKE KURT COBAIN!!!

  • idgaf what anybody says. This is the best cover of this song outta anyone who's ever covered it!

  • Bit late on the bandwagon aren't you kiddo? Why's that, too busy in pre school? Get over yourself, it's you that looks pathetic.

  • @Skepsis0Metal

Why so serious? Love him? Ok, "Wannabe Kurt Cobain. So cool! Girls like it. He is almost like Kurt but little too fat. " Is it better now?

  • @peralez223

    I agree entirely

  • imitation is the highest form of flattery seether isnt a copycat band they are post grunge they have been post grunge since they were sharon gas back in south africa. while nirvana is gone shaun is just expressing his respect towards a fellow artist i mean seriously how many other bands cover everyone elses songs ? you could say that kurt was a bowie wannabe or meatpuppets wannabe but what matters is his music still lives..

  • @kevochaos1 Tonns of bands cover tonns of other band's music, dude.

  • @KurdtKobain09 obviously you didnt read the other bitching pissing and moaning from the haters

  • @kevochaos1 What does that have to do with anything? I'm just saying bands cover bands. Cause you asked 'how many other bands cover everyone elses songs?' ...probably hundreds.

  • @kevochaos1 beautifully said <3

  • If we were still in the 90's Seether would be way bigger than Nirvana ever was.

  • @showtime631 i disagree with you, majorly, sorry, no offense intended, but Shaun could never be Kurt.

  • @showtime631 You are REALLY fucking stupid. You can't say that at all. Seether is no where NEAR what Nirvana was and still is.

  • @showtime631 I disagree but seether is very good.

  • shut the fuck up finaly with this - some1 is kurt wannable and stuff...

Isnt it great that some1 is trying to sing similar... to remember us this great artist?

Isnt it great that some1 is wearing a old jeans, long dirty hairs ?

For me... this is great. And i know that true and very emotionally music is still alive!

    Anyway, ask urself:

was mr. Cobain a some1 else wannable...?

His voice and style was similar to the other artists too.

    Peace.

  • @Xar0ne tell that to piemakesmelol

  • @Xar0ne Kurt Cobain single handedly changed the sound of popular music, turned huge bands into nobodies almost overnight. You are a moron who has no idea what your talking about.

    Go fuck yourself.

    Good day.

I said good day, sir. :)

  • @Xar0ne Kurt Cobain single handedly changed the sound of popular music, turned huge bands into nobodies almost overnight. You are a moron who has no idea what your talking about.

    Go fuck yourself.

    Good day.

p.s. why don't you learn how to spell , inbreed.

Seether is an awesome band in there own right, but no one can deny the obvious fact that shaun morgan tries to be a carbon copy of kurt cobain.

  • @78johnp 1. Yep, I know that Nirvana was something awesome, they have made a new, oryginal and most important thing - true music.

"sound of popular music" U should know that, not only one band is doning it... dont forget about a Mudhoney,

The Melvins, who started it, not Nirvana... Melvins started it. So many other bands had to impact on Nirvana.

  • @Xar0ne i never said nirvana started it, only that up until then that besides a handful of misfits the rest of the world was indifferent. Up to that point in time all the original intent in music was gone, replaced with big haired idols, plastic sounds repeated ad nauseum. Can anyone who wants to argue with my original statement honestly say that a band - great as they are - like seether would ever had been heard if not for the MASSIVE change in music brought about by nirvana?

  • @78johnp

"Kurt Cobain single handedly changed the sound of popular music, turned huge bands into nobodies almost overnight."

Yeah, and do u know why? This is not a good think, because they just made a little star. I call it "seasonal star" just to make a money on them and forget. Advertised like a Justin Bieber etc.

But here's second thing, that Nirvana was f** real ;) and they became something after a years.

Other thing is that, artist must overtake his generation, to became an artist.

  • @78johnp -This is not a condemnation, only stating the obvious fact that of all the bands today Seether is just one of the best at emulating Nirvana. Whoever brought puddle of mudd into this must be around 14 years old, have no taste and deserves not to be scorned, but taught how to experience music.

  • @Xar0ne anybody who is really a true fan of seether knows that nirvana inspired shaun to become a musician and learn to play guitar n shit.

  • @Xar0ne exactly you are right man you are right

  • @Xar0ne True, Cobain was influenced by quite a few bands. I think its wonderful that this guy has this kind of respect for Cobain.

  • only Nirvana wannabes

  • @LPchester77 he is not a wannabe he is showing that he loves Kurt's style of music
