I called Century Arms and spoke to someone who was supposedly a Yugo AK knowledgeable person. I asked him a simple question. Can I shoot steel case ammo in my Yugo M70 ab2 and not harm the rifle? He would not give a straight answer, he only said brass was the best and steel case would be ok from time to time. Again I asked, "Will it harm my rifle"? And again he would not give a yes or no! My local gunsmith said don't becasue it would ruin the chamber! What? Is this true?
@sveqete91 what the other guy didnt say is this Yugo has the 1.5mm stamped receiver unlike the 1.0mm the other AK versions have. not to mention the Yugo has the heavier barrel all of which make this rifle a cut above other stamped receiver AKs for accuracy and durability. definitely get one...
@VladaPk i jos jedna stvar koju sam zaboravio da kazem jeste da isto tako zavisi od vrste municije i vrste barutnog praha koji je u municiji.Koristi ne-adekvatan eksplozivni barut i imaces sranja sa bilo kojim oruzijem jer nesagori do kraja.

Yugoslav/Serbian AK47 (M70AB) is the best version of AK in the world even better then Russian version. It's more accurate and it actually gets better as the barrel heats up. It's definately the best in the world check out M21 system based on Ak47.
Nope M70-AB is Serbian i recognise it's characteristic shape. Load this baby with tracer, normal, armor peircing round in that order and you can pretty take down anythign no kevlar will stop it . I've seen light armoured vehicles get penetrated by this weapon. Full auto is in reality used for fire suppression anyone who is skilled will always fire single round or burst at times. AK true soldier weapon.
if you think that the yugo AK is the best (it is pretty good) its not really an AK to me because it has an RPK style thick reciever and an RPK style thick barrel better for prolonged fire but it cools down slow. AK-47,M,74 have a thinner barrel that cools faster and better for burst fire. It's more accurate because it is heavier because of these features. To me it is a mini RPK.
@esh325 Yep there is no chrome lining in one series only which was produced from in times where Yugo-Russian relations detteriated and Russians would not sell Yugoslavia chromium hehe... later versions do have chrome lined barrels. As the matter of fact the exact lack of chromium lining makes it more accurate so go figure...
@reddwarf50, Yugoslovia has chrominum desposits though. I think chrome lined barrel and chamber is important to reliability. I have a Yugo SKS and the chamber was very pitted so it wouldin't feed rounds. If it had a chrome lined chamber and barrel, it would have been okay.

@VladaPk Neznam koju verziju su ti na kosovu koristili. Moj stari je koristio tokom rata 90-tih i pouzdaniju pusku nijedrzao u rukama, a imao je prilike da koristi i zapadno naoruzanja i ruski, rumunski, pa i kineski kalash koji je po njegovim recima raspao posle automatskog pucanja od 150 komada. Sta je bitno je redovno ciscenje i aplikacija puscanog ulja. Ako se to zapostavi i puska prestaje biti pouzdana. Ali budi siguran da je to do odrzavanja a ne do puske.
Zavisi ko puca iz oruzja, puska je precizna ili nije. Ja sam pogadjao sve u sta sam nisanio. Stvar entuzijazma.
Ova AP je puska koju bih ponio na mjesec, nju i sanduk 7,62... Bolje dva sanduka, jedan obicne i jedan pancirne municije, ako bi se ko pokusao sakriti iza pancirke - probija, brate, i zidove...
Zastava iz Kragujevca je odlicna, pocev od M48, pa nadalje.
I ova AP nije m70ab2, nego M70AB-2, ako vas ko bude pitao.

@MyGamer1 The best assault rifle in the world M70ab1-M70AB2. I used the 3 years of war has never failed, nor have I ever heard that he ever failed in others. A different kind of AK47 is in many ways but the basic structure the same. There is only one flaw, corrosion. M70ab is carbon steel, AK47 with an admixture of chromium in steel. M70 ab requires more maintenance than the AK47
from my own exp, i can say that the m70ab2 aside from maybe the new AK103 is probably the best 7.62x39 AK out there... Zastava has made several minute changes to the original design which make the gun even easier to use
The Yugo's knew what the hell they were doing. Standard night sights was revolutionary at the time. The reason they are not crome line is because the crome depoisites in former Yugoslavia sucked so they figured it was better to not crome line the barrels on there guns.

During the war buddy of mine had his night sight on during the night patrol through the forrest bordering with enemy front line. In the middle of the night an owl swooped down on him thinking that his sight was a reflection of prey hehe it schreeched and flew away. In a pitch black woods, he dropped the weapon and pulled a handgranade he shit himself. Not to mention the owl jokes which proceeded later. :)

you can't legally convert to full auto unless you are a FFL manufacturer type 7 #2SOT. (the rifle would be considered a post sample and could only transfer to FFL dealer, or ATF) There is some conversion kits that carry a serial number and are registered w/ ATF as machineguns (I know this for AR-15's atleast), but they're going to run about the cost it would for a NFA rifle ($10,000+ range) plus a $200. tax stamp fee. to the G-man.

If you want to see what gun control accomplishes take a look at nazi germany, the UK and Australia. In all cases crime increased dramatically from gun bans.

AK-47,M,74 have a thinner barrel that cools faster and better for burst fire. It's more accurate because it is heavier because of these features. To me it is a mini RPK.

@esh325 Yep there is no chrome lining in one series only which was produced from in times where Yugo-Russian relations detteriated and Russians would not sell Yugoslavia chromium hehe... later versions do have chrome lined barrels. As the matter of fact the exact lack of chromium lining makes it more accurate so go figure...

@reddwarf50, Yugoslovia has chrominum desposits though. I think chrome lined barrel and chamber is important to reliability. I have a Yugo SKS and the chamber was very pitted so it wouldin't feed rounds. If it had a chrome lined chamber and barrel, it would have been okay.

@VladaPk Neznam koju verziju su ti na kosovu koristili. Moj stari je koristio tokom rata 90-tih i pouzdaniju pusku nijedrzao u rukama, a imao je prilike da koristi i zapadno naoruzanja i ruski, rumunski, pa i kineski kalash koji je po njegovim recima raspao posle automatskog pucanja od 150 komada. Sta je bitno je redovno ciscenje i aplikacija puscanog ulja. Ako se to zapostavi i puska prestaje biti pouzdana. Ali budi siguran da je to do odrzavanja a ne do puske.

Ova AP je puska koju bih ponio na mjesec, nju i sanduk 7,62... Bolje dva sanduka, jedan obicne i jedan pancirne municije, ako bi se ko pokusao sakriti iza pancirke - probija, brate, i zidove...
Zastava iz Kragujevca je odlicna, pocev od M48, pa nadalje.
I ova AP nije m70ab2, nego M70AB-2, ako vas ko bude pitao.

from my own exp, i can say that the m70ab2 aside from maybe the new AK103 is probably the best 7.62x39 AK out there... Zastava has made several minute changes to the original design which make the gun even easier to use

The Yugo's knew what the hell they were doing. Standard night sights was revolutionary at the time. The reason they are not crome line is because the crome depoisites in former Yugoslavia sucked so they figured it was better to not crome line the barrels on there guns.

you can't legally convert to full auto unless you are a FFL manufacturer type 7 #2SOT. (the rifle would be considered a post sample and could only transfer to FFL dealer, or ATF) There is some conversion kits that carry a serial number and are registered w/ ATF as machineguns (I know this for AR-15's atleast), but they're going to run about the cost it would for a NFA rifle ($10,000+ range) plus a $200. tax stamp fee. to the G-man.

Only in America (of the west nations) you can buy a fully automatic weapon (legally). Homicide rate (per 100,000 inhabitants) of Germany is 0.98 but the rate in America is 5,7. I wonder why??? Because of people like the author of this video.

Nice statistics. You have to consider the population of America vs Germany. Of course you will have more criminals in a heavily populated area. Most gun crime in America takes place in areas with heavy gun restrictions like gun free school zones and large cities. Areas with law abiding gun carrying citizens have very low crime rates. If you want to see what gun control accomplishes take a look at nazi germany, the UK and Australia. In all cases crime increased dramatically from gun bans.
