@usario12 I made the intro in Adobe After Effects. I don't think you can make something like this in Vegas, because it does not allow you to work in the 3d space. These kind of effects are very easy to make once you learn some of the basics of After Effects.

@usario12 I don't think I'm good enought in AE to actually make a tutorial. Most o the things are just made on the way while playing around with some tools an settings. I would suggest you to look for AE projects and narrated video tutorials to learn all the basics.

You can't usually see z fighting in renders. Those what you see are light leaks.

I made it in photoshop while playing around with some brushes

and imported it in Adope after effects as a PNG file and put it as the top layer.

When I look at it now, I really don't like it :D

Your right that podium has no option to render an animation directly to a video file, but there's the trick that I rendered still images and then put them togeather to make an animaton in a video editing program.

Ofcourse, you can always wish the animation to be smoother, but It wasn't so easy as just setting the FPS rate and waiting while everything renders. The workflow was much more complicated, because I was using Podium with no additional plugins to make all the scenes automatically. Therefore in 30fps the process would have been too time consuming.

I used SU Podium to render this animation. If you really don't understand what it is then just try to google what is SU Podium or whats photo-realististic rendering. I'm sure you will receive a much better explenation than I could give ;)

the merc seem a bit unfinished but the other two cars looks awsome

Whell it's ok but it consists of much less polygons comparing to other cars, thats why it looks like that. At the time I really wanted to include a Mercedes so I kind of just chose the best model I could find. Also SketchUp crashes alot when I work with such high poly models and especially when I have to edit the reflectivity within Podium, so I just couldn't aford to use three high poly models in this animation.

yea i have that same problem, sketchUp lags very bad or crashes alot, when you have models with a high poly count

Thanks :) The light leaks are a common problem with Podium. As you can see they are really easy to spot in a video...
