  • What's up with that little racial tangent in the beginning? Was that really necessary?

  • Time to write another declaration. to declare our independence.

  • @USMCmazac We could just use the one we used for the British. It pretty much says the same things lol. "You guys have been pushing us around long enough and we're not gonna take it anymore."

  • it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it

  • That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends

  • I see this government being overthrown in maybe the next 50 years.

  • Youtube won't let me quote the Declaration of Independence on a video about the Declaration of Independence...

  • Declaration of Independence is awesome

  • I saw this in U.S. History class today!

  • You guys idiots? That's not Morgan Freeman, thats god. telling us about history.

  • i came here for Morgan Freeman :D

  • Thumbs up if you are in a Class Connect!

  • Nice acting, but I wonder if they (the actors) genuinely understand the language and intent of this document? You should read The 5000 Year Leap from W. Cleon Skousin for a better understanding of how our government and why our Republic was formed.

  • @take2east I just read that book last week. Skousin is kind of a dickbag, in my opinion. I like his libertarian stance, but he neglects the importance of finite natural resources in our economy. In the natural rights section, the right to natural resource extraction and land ownership is taken as intrinsic, but we don't have this in our land system. Please read the book "The Irish Land Question" by Henry George. It takes about an hour to read and is free online.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHH! so they started taking over the world then.

  • How can anyone dislike this. that is seriously messed up. that is really unamerican. so all you you dislike(ed) this i have a message for you: USA!!!!!!!!!USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAHHHHHHH FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!

  • @Artemis475 What an idiot. A true American :-D "living the dream man but I can't wake up!"

  • a country founded on rebellion and intolerance, that seeks to grant freedom to its people to express themselves fully, subjects itself completely to the depravity and fallibility of human imperfection. That being said, it shouldn't come to you as a surprise that our country is so fucked up right now. And don't get me wrong, the decleration is patriotic and quite moving, but it's essentially America's "Fuck You" to Great Britain.

  • @carmyvinci Yet the monarchy still OWNS you. Step out of your dream and wake up please.

  • @B00MK huh? that's not really what I was talking about...the citizen of any nation is owned by his/her government, king, dictator,ect... that doesn't mean their gonna control your life, at least not for some countries like ours which gives more freedom than any of us could realize. Our laws affect us, but they do not control us. And if there is an ugly truth to our country which there most likely is, I'd rather not want to wake up. I'm just livin in the world I was born in. best wishes to you.

  • should have just had nicholas cage read it

  • Learning of history and individual liberty we can do nothing but support these movements. Looking back at the Nazi movement it seems far too many people sat on their hands and shut their mouths which facilitated the deaths of so many. Hitler created false flags and manipulationts of the German public much like what we have witnessed in the US (Conspiracy theory? No, Conspiracy truth!). We are now at the point, ahead of the death curve, to stand up and be counted - do it!

  • @1Freedomrider wow! Someone with critical thought. It's a rare commodity, Well done you.

  • We have today, the right to speak out on what our government is doing or some might say, "Not doing" and stand up against it. If we do not do it now...WHEN? Young Americans are doing so now against Wall Street. When are the rest of us going to speak out against something that is not right? Does not the PREAMBLE state "WE ARE THE PEOPLE?" If that is the case, then it is our duty to speak out. We must do this for the future of our children.

  • Why aren't they reciting this at the Occupy Protests? Talk about giving the movement focus and purpose. Just direct it from the King to the Corporatocracy.

  • @1Freedomrider

Because the more you learn of history and individual liberty, the less you can support the foolish socialist notions they hold as a foundation behind the facade of being anti-crony capitalist.

  • For the record ,plz let me educate some fucking idiots on Mel Gibsons nationality, he was born in Fucking Peekskill,New York in 1956,lived thier until he was 12,how the fuck does that make him Australian, Goddamn would some fucking ppl uncork thier heads from thier asses,Im sure Mel considers himself both American and Australian.look I know ya hate Mel,but not knowing that Mel is American is your ignorance, showing.

  • It is shocking how our founding fathers were revolutionist and carried for the nation's success, fighting for a reason. Sadly, we have fallen far from that, lacking revolutionary ideas that will inspire and uphold our nation.

  • The performances some of these actors give can at times be enjoyed in their films, however, how much more enjoyable would it be to see our modern politicians and everyday citizens read these powerful lines instead ?

  • 47 people are loyalists.

  • BO

  • I cried when I heard this, not even lying

  • The Declaration of Independence was signed in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The founding fathers are Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Al Sharpton, and Barack Obama.

IRS stands for International Rabbit Station.

  • saw this in history class yesterday

  • @myusername956 haha so did i....?

  • I am so glad that our founding fathers reached concord on that glorious 4th day of July in 1776 :')

  • I'm surprised to hear Morgan Freeman talking about this. If I was an African American I'd be saying...WTF!!!! You write this, and we don't get any real civil rights for another 90 odd years!! When the fight for independence was in full swing, many 'Africans' went to the side of the British. They knew the British were bastards - but there are gradations of bastards... as it transpired they were right - especially as America took so long to abolish slavery! So why does Morgan present this?

  • Comment removed

  • WE STILL HOLD THESE TRUTHS! DONT TREAD ON ME!

  • The Declaration of Independence reading begins at 4:32.

  • Can I PLEASE go to a patriotic video without being spammed by Ron Paul supporters. God fucking damn.

  • Dolores Claybourne hade the best line

  • MERCILESS INDIAN SAVAGES !! .. They just dissed native americans.

  • who is that chick at 6:10? shes a real cutie!

  • i saw this is in school today :S

  • Seems like everyone in the room is an extreme left liberal including Morgan F. Oh the hypocrisy!

  • Did anyone else notice the background song was from Saving Private Ryan

  • none of them actors are a part of the 99%

  • I'm confused why anyone disliked this

  • Now THAT'S a good way to study for a history test. I have a test over this in my college class tomorrow. ;) I was supposed to read this, but I took it to the next level. Listening and following along with this awesome performance. Highly recommended ;) lol

  • whats the badge on their lapell

  • unless you follow the true example of the enlightenment and control your own destiny and accept your own being as a paradigm in itself then nobody is behind the wheel. Ask a social worker whether the American paradigm is a GREAT one.

  • if america was a single person and not a complex system which influences everybody, then it would be in a straight jacket. Be rest assured. With the inherent social baggage, mind-control, lack of reciprocation, and dysfunction that would be the case. And you are all stuck with it because it was decided hundreds of years before you were born by somebody who lived out the first version of the military industrial complex in his own personal life. Nobody is behind the wheel and you are stuck with it

  • the timing of the event matters more than the contents. Jefferson picked a shitty time to write this crap, and all the other founders picked a shitty time to go along with it and ratify the peice of shit. And now it's like all other worldly and successful men who have children that are spoiled, fat, and a good for nothing. An assumptive document followed in its trajectory by a speculative, rumor and hearsay driven culture of emotionalistic whiny haves and have nots. That's the fact of it.

  • @CDanielzSpecialist dud you got it all wrong

  • @GodisGreat44125 I don't have anything wrong. Ask a social worker like I said. So your one of those God people who are patriotic. Guess what being patriotic equals...idolatry.

  • @CDanielzSpecialist Ya i am even know this country may not be in the best of shape right now this is still my home country and and i respect my country. because god has bless this country with great things. so if you dont like living here just move.

  • @GodisGreat44125 you have foot in mouth syndrome and haven't gotten over your kindergarden conditioning evidently. Read the Bible if you proclaim a belief in God. Sounds to me like you love your country, ie a product of the earth and man, two things that are maligned by God. It's called idolatry. You justify and make excuses for subpar conditions, I don't. Period!

  • @CDanielzSpecialist i love this country because it gives me the freedom to love and worship the lord. and dont tell me i dont read my bible because i do.

  • @GodisGreat44125 I see, so your country is more powerful than God then. Because the freedom didn't come from God it came from Thomas Jefferson.

  • @CDanielzSpecialist Dude calm down ? Its never that serious. Just drop it .

  • @pivotmander no! I call people on bullshit.

  • @CDanielzSpecialist Haha have it your way, Your never going to get a point out over the internet.

  • WTFFFFFFFFFF

  • someone say a 6 senetnce summary about this i need it for school due tomorrow

  • cool

  • Cool

  • God (aka Morgan Freeman) talking about the Declaration of Independence is awesome.

  • A great video! Thank you. It helped to pre-read the Declaration of Independence myself before watching it.

  • @7:19 omg who is this actor?! I watched this video in class today and it was driving me nuts cause I know I have seen movies with him in it.

  • @FOoMan777 Kevin Spacy. He was in 21.

  • @PUgrad05 I ended up figuring this out but thank you very much! 21 was such a great movie!

  • Morgan Freeman could make anything sound epic..

  • As I listened to the wrongs perpitrated upon the people of America by the King it was easy to corelate it to the injustice of the Patriot Act which stripped away our freedoms, the wars we are in that deminish us as a people and the total lack of regard for the people they were elected to serve by the Senate and House because their corruption..

  • interesting stuff

  • so cool,i wish i was living in usa.

  • This would be a great piece of work, if it wasn't for all the Godless liberal hollywood hacks in it like the wife beater, the thief and one that doesn't know better to wash her hair. Do any of them actually respect a lick of the that sacred document? Not!

  • DERIVING THEIR POWERS FROM THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED-THAT WHENEVER ANY FORM OF GOVERNMENT BECOMES DESCRUCTIVE OF THESE ENDS,IT IS THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO ABOLISH IT,AND TO INSTITUTE NEW GOVERNMENT.THIS IS FROM THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE.THE TIME HAS ARRIVED FOR DIALOGUE,THE TIME HAS COME FOR THE WORKERS THAT FIGHT THE WARS,THAT BEAR THE BURDEN OF TAXATION,TO TAKE BACK OUR NATION,FROM SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS,& P.A.C.'s.ENOUGH ALREADY!LET US TAKE BACK OUR NATION & HAVE OUR VOICES BEHEARD

  • oh crap - Mel Gibson is the first speaker. At least that anti Semitic ass did not read the line "all men are created equal". What a hypocrite. I suppose this was before his DUI and racist outbursts.

  • Ron Paul for president 2012!!! Ron Paul for a limited, Constitutional government!

  • Why did they have a Native American read the part about the Indians being savages? Isn't that in bad taste?

  • You can see a lot of this going on in our government today. May be we need to clean house and start with new elective members that will up hold the Constitution.

  • Umm... Kathy Bates in 2012

  • This reading of the Declaration of Independence is the wrong Declaration and wording is ever so written different the united is capitalized and the of should be for so I dare anyone to take the challenge and find the differences and ask questions why... The true Declaration is upper and lower case and should look like this (united States of America) not UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. This version is the company and the real one is for the PEOPLE. If you do not believe me I dare you to look it up.

  • Saving Private Ryan Soundtrack?

  • All that Tea and Stamps.

"I was the last to consent to the separation; but the separation having been made and having become inevitable, I have always said, as I say now, that I would be the first to meet the friendship of the United States as an independent power." George W III

    Hugs brethren.

  • @t

Up until the early 1900s voting rights were based on wealth. Most MEN couldn't even vote. However, ALL MEN were still expected to go to war & possibly die to defend their country. This is still true today. American men who refuse to register for the draft are subject to a $250,000 fine &/or up to 5 years in prison. Women have no such obligations. Look it up.

While you're at it, look up the # of male soldiers who died for their country without ever being granted the right to vote.

  • Could have done without Morgan Freeman's BS comments on slavery. Every major content in the world had large slave trades at the time in history, but no mention of that. Slavery is a horrible thing and is no longer present in the United States.

  • @burnbluefox

    AMEN!

  • @burnbluefox I believe Freeman's mention about slavery obeyed to the fact that, ironically, the creator of such grand Declatation of Independence had slaves serving him right at home... And you should check your remark and look around you once more: haven't you noticed the migrant workers, the asian girls and all the rest of lesser people working for and serving North American people for a few dollars?

  • Happy 4th of July!!

  • it is absolutely not true that the DofI inspired the French Revolution -- only if you think of a revolt inspiring another revolt. One was virtuous, the other vicious, as was realized by the best minds of the time in short order, whatever their initial inclinations otherwise

  • I half wish I was American just so I could vote for Ron Paul.

  • Happy Independence Day, my fellow Americans!

  • Happy Fourth of July!! Let Freedom Ring throughout the Land

  • Comment removed

  • Today in history we declared our independence from the British Crown. When will we declare our Independence from our own government.

  • @muddog1561 Probably sometime after we learn how to employ the question mark.

  • To know that my Great Grandparents many years ago took up arms for Freedom, gives me courage to follow in their footsteps for my Grandchildren in hopes they too will do the same for theirs. What a wonderful gift we all as Americans been given, lets not let the Socialist, Liberals, Communist, Marxist, or Islam take away what was given . I also like Ron Paul

  • Gosh that was good.

  • i knew that was edward norton!

  • mel gibson? really?

  • Oh, Mr. Freeman, who made you read that propaganda.

Women were not directly mentioned for the same reason protecting & providing for one's children wasn't mentioned. Throughout all human history It has been a commonly accepted constant that so long as men exist, women will be provided & protected (privileged).

  • @Razlo5000 In the REAL world, women have NOT been provided for and protected. Less than 100 yrs ago, women in the US were still struggling for the right to vote! Up until a few years ago, a man could beat his wife with little fear of legal consequences. A man who forced his wife to have sexual relations with him was not considered guilty of rape. Currently, the fastest growing group of poor people are single mothers, abandoned by the dead-beat dads of their children. I could go on and on...

  • I was under the impression that, throughout American history, in many regards, Women were a necessary component of American society. In the beginning, women were regarded as weak, but simply because of sheer physical strength; indeed, women often helped their husbands in their trades, be it farming or blacksmithing, and often took up the trade if their husbands died.

Let the record show that this belief was tied to the Christian religion.

    - paraphrased from the book "The New Absolutes"

  • @rosaamarilla79 Women HAVE been generally provided for by men up until the past 100 years. Since men were seen as the provider, whether an abusive husband or not, women were, at the very least, provided for. A lot of recorded legal history has taken place under Judeo law, so let's go there. In Jewish law if a rape is committed the victim and the abuser were legally married, and he needed to provide and care for her. If he refused, it was punishable by death. I could go on and on...

  • @r

THATS the propaganda Im talking about.

Men have ALWAYS provided for & protected women.

Example-In 1918, the Titanic went down & it was WOMEN & children to the lifeboats. Men were even shot if they tried to get on one. LESS than a hundred years ago, 50 million men died in 2 world wars defending freedom. Women had no such obligations. (Still true today).

Most men were also without voting rights, It was never legal to beat or rape women, & femifascism is to blame for single moms, NOT MEN!

  • @Razlo5000 The Titanic had sat at the bottom of the Atlantic for four years by 1918.

Up until the 1970s marital rape was legal in most American jurisdictions, though I imagine that a person such as yourself wouldn't consider that rape, after all women have obligations to those manly men that provide for them, right?

As for the rest of misogynistic drivel . . . I've grown tired.

  • @t

What the hell difference does it make? The death ratio on the Titanic was 9 men for every 1 woman. By percentage, 3rd class women did better than 1st class men. The death ratio for crew members was 233 men for every 1 woman. You call that a patriarchy?!

"Marital rape" is a ridiculous concept invented by feminists.

    Misogynistic drivel?! YOU COWARD!

You conveniently ignored the 50 MILLION men who died in world wars protecting this country.

You also ignored the fact most men also couldn't vote.

  • Why am I uncomfortable with liberals reading me the Declaration of Independence? I shouldn't be of course in fact I am glad they are reading it. I hope they can better appreciate it, or is it just another script?

  • @lladnarg I was thinking the same thing!

  • Morgan Freeman is our greatest founding father.

  • there's an australian and a british reading this, haha

  • @elpli9 I could not help but to think the same thing + Spanish too

  • Haha this is one of my teachers... Were watching this video in class for some kind of test thing. XD

  • Come on... most of these jackass celebs can't even spell independence

  • Some of these Hollywood fools can read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution but yet they do not understand and cannot comprehend the meaning. Whoopie Cushion is one of them...

  • RON PAUL 2012!!!!!

    DON'T TREAD, BRO!

  • It is sad that for the most part the "list of greivances" has been left out of our schools to the point where children of tomarrow will never know our own government has broken most of these greivances, And instead created a country that think those same greivances are the norm. Teach your children what they fought for and let them know Those greivances were fought and died for by Americans for Americans.

  • Document is relevant 300 years later. These are the precise problems facing our nation today. It shows a remarkable wisdom on behalf of our forefathers. The worst enemies are usually found inside the system. Just look at the statistics of child abuse, for it is not a stranger, but the closest family member who abuses trust.Conspiracy Theory?

  • I have not heard an Americans to speak with such clarity, & intelligence & dignity with an exception of Ron Paul & Dennis Kucinich. What is most shocking is how this Document is relevant 300 years later. This are the precise problem facing this nation today. This shows a remarkable wisdom on behalf of our forefathers. The worse enemies are usually found inside, just look at the statistics of child abuse for its not strangers, but the closest family members who abuse the trust. Conspiracy Theory?

  • Great video, but some choices.. yeeks.. Goldberg and the Constitution are worst enemies.

But the funny thing is - the "laundry list" of complaints against the King that justified the separation.. would FIT if read against the Obama and Bush administrations.

  • Reasons to vote for Ron Paul...

    #1 - Declaration of Independence.

#2 - Constitution of these United States.

    #3 - Bill of Rights.

#4 - The fact that he is the only representative to server a full term in office and vote 100% of the time In Line with these documents (and has done so for 30 years!)

  • @eslake

I half wish I was an American just so I could vote for Ron Paul.

  • @eslake The same Ron Paul that wants to gut the military>

  • @jamesallen1125 How does bringing the troops home from Illegal wars waged for the Financial Benefit of multinational groups "Gut" the military?

  • @eslake

Ah man. You ron paul zealots are no better than fundie christians.. wait.. you ARE fundie christians.

  • @eslake 1 reason not to vote for Ron Paul: World War III

  • @amerlibmov WW3? Who do you suggest we would be fighting? We are in 5 concurrent wars right now, and Ron Paul is opposed to every one of them - and not because it's popular to be against the wars NOW, but from the beginning.

The founding fathers warned us to stay out of these ridiculous foreign entanglements that have nothing to do with us - and designed our system for DEFENSE, not Global Policing... something Paul, and most of us, agree with.

  • @eslake In spite of what you read in the media, this is a war against state terrorism, organization terror is secondary; Afghanistan, Saddam's Iraq and now Libya. Iran and Syria are next. If we don't stop Iran now, they'll develop a nuclear arsenal within 2 to 3 years. The Mullahs with an apocalyptic vision make them likely to attack Jerusalem. Israel with respond with its nukes and regional nuclear exchanges will escalate to a world war. RP is too stuck in ideology to understand that.

  • @amerlibmov Boy, you were sure got duped.

  • @Seiku Not as duped as the people worshiping Ron Paul fanatics.

  • @eslake Reasons NOT to vote for Ron Paul

#1. The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution

    No other reasons required.

  • google: Supreme Court rules prosecutors can lie and fabricate evidence

The Supreme Court’s decision in Connick v. Thompson virtually gives license to prosecutors to lie, fabricate or withhold evidence, since they apparently can’t be held accountable for knowingly or intentionally sending an innocent man to prison and even death row.

    -

    Washington Post - april 10th 2011.

  • @ill318 It is like that within 'the house of lords' too. Pathetically sad because the people unknowingly r in agreement as is determined by sovereign rule. I declare my independence has begun a questioning for me. A process of discernment in my journey of life's seas is been like with the tale of a chug boat. *I think *I can! :) A constant 2achieve its ideas is within? It is this valuing of the thought thinking mind that a supreme court replaced , early on , ~a love focus~ with ideas & vices.

  • CHARTER OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS FTW

  • of the 56 persons who signed the Declaration of Independence document in 1778, 15 of them or 27 percent were Masons. Among them were Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, Joseph Hewes, William Hooper, Robert Treat Payne, Richard Stockton, George Walton and William Whipple. Others were Elbridge Gerry, Lyman Hall, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Nelson Jr. John Renn, George Read and Roger Sherman.... Freemasons own this country.. they are slowly taking over

  • iam british but I must admit that your declaration of independence was beautifully written

  • Comment removed

  • Read this to your children or show them this video. They must hear it aloud so this great country will not perish, they must hear it so they know what they what rights they have.

  • "DERIVING THEIR JUST POWERS FROM THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED"

Key, KEY point, that no other government in any of the world's other 191 countries do not embrace! They always try to throw something in their for the "greater good".

The greater good must be realized amongst individual, decent persons, and decency practiced and normalized by the same; it cannot be forced by Man's law.

  • Humans have been living in cities for 6000 years, mostly under royalty. This little group decided that the focus of God's creation was not the state, but the Individual.

The Declaration, and Constitution, were written based on that premise.

Yes, America has made mistakes, but, at the relatively young age of 235 years, it's worth exploring the celebration of individuality a little more.

Don't throw this Republic into the dust bin of history just because She is still growing up, I beg you!

  • How could anyone dislike the Decleration of Independce!! Without this you would be living under Obama rules!!! :)

  • can anyone tell me the names of two famous actors in this video? i watched it and recognized two actors... but i can't remember their names lol. PLEASE

  • @love4light5 theyre all famous

  • @love4light5

mel gibson, michael douglas, kevin spacey

  • King Louis Narcisse This Little Light Of Mine

  • Letter From Birmingham Jail

  • Dear friends, the Catalan nation needs your help. Spanish people hates us. They want our lenguage to dissapear, they attacks every day our nationality, our spirit.

The catalan language has more than 1.000years and the spanish government is trying to exterminate it, and they say that will engage us with military force if we try to be free.

This will shock you, but catalan was the first nation with a Parliament.

  • One day, we were the biggest nation of the world, the capital of a republic federation of free nations, living in peace.

In 1714 Spain attacks us and we lose our freedom. Now with a "democracy" we have asked Spain for a referendum for independence, but they deny with the excuse "it is not constitutional".

Remember what Spain did to USA, Mexico and half world countries, they beggin attacking moors, jews, catalans, americans, they allways had to blame others for their faults.

  • Please do not belive spanish people, they lie one time and another and another! We're a 7M catalans and every year we pay 20M€ to Spain and can't say "no", it's a debt for lose a war 300 years ago.

If you don't trust me you can watch Pau Casals video on ONU in 1971. Remember this because one day we will ask for your support, and it will be in next years!

Freedom is a right! VISCA CATALUNYA INDEPENDENT!

  • @alliann87 yeah but no other country has anything like our constitution and declaration of independence. sure they got rid of slavery first but now a days they aren't exactly the ideal of a republic.

  • 37 People are not American.

  • Who are these clowns reading this great piece of writing?

  • @Kritickos Why can't they read it?

  • Owning slaves was the best way to save them from abusive masters. The law made it next to impossible to free slaves, but starting with that Declaration the American Revolution began and continued through the Civil War.

In the name of God America threw off slavery as an example to the world.

  • If you agree with this language, you are a True Conservative, a defender of the Rights of the Individual, NOT a "republican"!

We are a Republic, and our elected officials ought to defend our Liberty!

Vote as you will, and, PLEASE, call Republicans out when they stray from the Rights of the Declaration!

We Tea Party members stand for these Rights, whether you be gay, straight, any gender, any religion.

Government does not "rule" persons; we "rule" our government, dammit!

  • @LibertyPrick1776 it is not republicans,it is the people who twist the vision of what we see

  • @jamesmichaelroot YOU NEED MORE TAGS Patriot,, Declaration of Independence, Congress, Bill of Rights, 10th Amendment, 2011, Obama, G20 Exposed, CAFR, The Biggest Game in Town, JFK, John F Kennedy, Federal Reserve, Freedom, Liberty, Black Water, Monsanto, DynCorp, KBR, Halliburton, Goldman Sachs, Climate Gate, PETRODOLLAR, FIAT, Currency, Alex Jones, infowars, Border Control, Arizona, Revolution, Charlie Veitch, wearechange, We Are Change

  • ok update: im sorry to those who i offended on here and i understand why. after much considerable thought i now realise that we can use the political system to the peoples advantage if we can get the zombies to wake up and stop being selfish. but this is a big problem as they are so under mind control. the powers that be will never want to lose their power and will use brute force to keep it. looks there will be war on the streets of america very soon.

  • @defuzed28, Take a deep breath... the sun still comes up! Breathe. The Earth still traverses old Sol! I'm not really offended, I just don't agree that all is lost because politicians are such apt prostitutes. From time to time we have to transcend this difficult issue. You are merely witnessing the current mores, nations and institutions not serving freedom so well now, but that doesn't mean that they are lost.

  • @shadownor ok breathing deeply, in and then out. we need to revolutionise politics and get everyone involved!!!! we need to march to downing street and demand that politics should be taught in schools! we need to make it law to vote! sorry im a limey ;)

  • @defuzed28, I agree that subtle politics is a lost art due to the polarization paid for by the monied interest. I was just commenting because you seemed too disturbed by it. When someone says "New World Order" or that these people have the 300 year plan... etc. I don't accuse your heart, just that I think that we're giving the greedy foe too much credit here. They are but locust, beneath your respect. If we can't get money out of politics, then we need money more obvious in politics.

  • Pretty well done.

I am curious how this is taught in British schools, for they who were once our enemy, is now, centuries later, one of our staunchest allies!

  • for the brits: I am MORE THAN FREEMAN

  • I wonder if just as we have a separation of church and state, that a separation of economics and state as put forth by Ayn Rand (except taxes for police, law courts, armed forces, and national parks[not Rand's idea but uniquely American]) would lead to a less corrupt government. Laissez- faire capitalism to me, seems to solve most of our problems. What other system is so aligned with the unalienable rights of which Jefferson spoke?
