  • if they have something negative to say..it's most likely they were rejects!!

  • Good way to "Hang Out" Brahs...

  • It figures now even GANG members are getting song sung at their fraternity; Red and Black. Yep, definitely supporters of the underground criminal world!

  • @Sileni ignorant ppl like u destroy the names of well-respected greek orgs...

  • @Sileni you sound so dumb. shut up!

  • The Guy With The Dreads Was At The Battle Of The Bands

I Believe His Line Name Is "Radi-Yo Killa"

  • @BroganPruitt that's Jae Murph, google him.

  • Gah.... Ppl need to stop criticizing these greeks! They are strong, yong black men who want to make something of them selves which is why they Joined the Fraternity in the FIRST PLACE. They aren't putting their Fraternity before God because GOD PUT THEM THERE FOR A REASON.

I date an Alpha and I must say that being a member of his fraternity has been the best thing to ever happen to him and I'm sure that that is true for these young men.

So please respect them. They deserve it.

  • Im not a fan of the words of the intro song. The Bible says, "You shall put no other god before". & walking into a church & praying to KAP is NOT a good look. Lets start examining the things we say.

  • Much love to all who love us. Much respect to all Greeks and to my Frat, my Bond, my clan... KAPsi till the day I die and when I get to heaven its still Phi Nu pi !!!! Y0-Yo

  • How I wish I dated a Kappa. :-D That was just beautiful. It was so kind. That is some touching stuff.

  • How I wish to date a Kappa. :-D

  • This is a great tribute! Kongrats

  • hey that was Jae Murphy

  • I'm an Alpha, but it's sad to lose a young brotha trying to do something positive with his life, regardless of affiliation.

  • r.i.p Davon

  • @mzpoetik08 My God...what happened to him!!!

  • OH! How I wish to be a Kappa Alpha Psi when I go to college :)

  • why does it seem like ppl who are not part of orgs seem to have something negative to say.... why watch this video maybe you was rejected lol..

  • My heart goes out to his family

  • Black frats are NOT the only group plagued with hazing problems, so are black sororities, IFC frats/sororities, NPC frats/sororities, band orgs, co-ed service-based frats, even the military. All of these orgs/groups were founded for a purpose, yet does anyone dare to question their purpose/ideals to exist today? Its everywhere and it should be taken seriously & people who engage in it should be prosecuted to the fullest, but let's not point the fingers at just ONE group because of a FEW fools.

  • @bisonhoney22 Of course Hazing happens lots of places... and yes it does bring into question the ideals of any organizaiton that participates in it. But I am particularly concerned about my Black people - especially the ones who should be pursuing a higher education.

  • Like I said, don't come here and diminish the beautiful tribute to their fallen member with a subject that has absolutely nothing to do with the XI CHAPTER OF K A PSI and their probate. You are taking all of the focus off of a special day for these young men when you know absolutely nothing about the hard work of THIS particular chapter. If you feel so passionate about this, then become proactive & write to the National NPHC board, create a forum WITH local D9 greek chapters, be a solution.

  • @bisonhoney22 As I said, my comments have nothing to do with the fallen member. I never criticized that. You want to separate this chapter from the others and say they are different. You don't know if this chapt hazes or not; but I know many of them do and they all -as brothers- share the responsibility for it. Maybe I AM doing more to address the issue, maybe not; either way the principle of the matter is that the physical and academic damage often done to these STUDENTS is inexcusible

  • Members & prospects can and have been banned for not following the hazing policies. EVERYONE knows the rules, but do they all follow them? Whose fault is it for those that CHOOSE not to follow the rules? Don't admonish ALL because of a FEW. Prospects are old enough to make those decisions for themselves, and one can always go the grad chapter route if they CHOOSE to. They have to think about what IS worth it for THEMSELVES. At what point do people take PERSONAL responsibility?

  • @bisonhoney22 Whose fault is it? Its the whole frat's fault. They are a Brotherhood with a common Bond, right? Then they share the responsiblity. The organization as a whole is wrong. You can claim personal responsibility; the the line btwn pers responsbility and organizational responsiblity is very blurry when they ALL say "WE DON"T HAZE", then when you are on line, your getting beaten.

  • Hazing was banned by the NPHC in the early 90s, each D9 org has their hazing polices posted on their national websites, so it's the pledges & the members duty to report ANY and all illegal activities, but they don't because they obviously don't want to be called "paper", so they CHOOSE to go through those processes all fine until someone gets hurt & its reported.

  • @bisonhoney22 Don't even try it.. These groups have been claiming "we don't Haze, We've banned hazing" for ever! We all know what goes down in those dark rooms when no one is around to police these 19, 20 year old kids. And the remainder of your comment supports my point that it goes on - unchecked and unpunished. The members don't check it because they are the ones doing it, and the pledges don't report out of some faulty macho manhood /womanhood trip.

  • the intro touched me

    may he rest in peace

    &&

    great job

  • Man, I heard about what happened to the Nupe at Xi...my kondolences to him and his family....that was a nice tribute by the bruhs to include his family in the probate...also kongrats to the new bruhs!...

  • YOOOOOOOOO sandz congrats on joinin the bond. Nu chapter says whats up!

  • First off, this was as real special show, shouts out to my sands from last year on bringing their boys across the sands. Those guys on that line work hard. As for the comments it has been stated a member of the Xi chapter passed away and this was a tribute during the Probate to him.

Moving forward just know, Washington, D.C. is again the Kapitol city and this latest batch of Xi boys are just joining the party.

Much love to all the nupes

  • who died?

  • Congrats to the Nupes! I see my soRHOrs in the front! Eeee-yipp!!

  • He didn't die because of excessive hazing

  • What happened to the undergraduate? Excessive hazing? I thought the frats put that in check.

  • @states37 1st, the young deceased man was already a member of KAPsi, he crossed in 2007, VERY well respected on campus, so it wasn't due to hazing considering the fact the the 2007 line was the first Kappa line on our campus in almost 10 years, so I highly doubt they would ever haze & jeopardize their chapter status again. 2nd, he died on a spring break trip in Cancun in March. The fraternity was paying respect to him at the probate show, which is why you see his parents in the circle.

  • @bisonhoney22 K A Psi (as well as the others) knows that they've killed or hospitalized enough pledges throughout the years - and up to this present day. Thats the biggest shame with these Black Frats. No Frat is worth risking your life to get in!!! You're supposed to be in SCHOOL to get an EDUCATION!!! Not subject yourself to vicious beatings, humiliation, and a process that is bound to destroy your grades for the term you pledge!! NOT WORTH IT!!!

  • @TWN321 I guess you don't have any reading comprehension skills because I, along with others have stated that the young man that died has been a member since 2007. WE stated that for a reason because everyone came on here and automatically ASSUMED that he died from hazing when it's FAR from the truth. We all know and have heard about hazing incidents in the D9 orgs before so I really don't even know what was your point of saying that because prospects always decide to pledge OR not themselves.

  • @bisonhoney22 My comment had NOTHING to do with the memeber being honored here. I'm speaking to the overall issue of greek hazing. And just because "We have heard about hazing incidents before", and "Prospects decide to pledge OR not themselves" its all OK!? You have NO responsibility for these tragedies!? The pledges who were killed over the years had NO IDEA what they were getting into, or they wouldn't have pledged. The pledge process negates the very ideals these frats claim to represent.

  • @TWN321 I still fail to see the point of you even commenting on this page in the 1st place, don't mess up a beautiful tribute by throwing in your "concerns" about hazing. I'm not even greek sweetie, but I have enough sense to not go around & try to lump all the D9 groups into 1 stereotyped box. We hate to hear people stereotype black folks as lazy, baby daddies/mommies when WE are NOT a homogeneous group, so don't do it to D9 greeks. Every chapter is different, so speak accordingly.

  • @bisonhoney22 It isnt about the tribute-30% of the video anyway. I'm not stating concerns, but facts. Around the US several chapters of this org -and others- haze & these are just the cases that went public. More cases actually occured. If they are a "Brotherhood" with a "Bond", the entire group is responsible. If only 1 person DIED, thats enough to raise a red flag to the whole group. That's the point. The RISK of DEATH, severe injury, or academic loss is not worth anything a Frat can offer.

  • @bisonhoney22 Organized, educated, committed brothers working towards a positive direction is a great thing! Brotherhood among black men is a great thing. But so many times, our Black frats miss the mark on this big time. There was a kappa pledge in my local community who was beaten to the point of Kidney failure - Spring 2010. No one visited him in the hospital, or checked to see if he was ok. That is not brotherhood. The process that injured him advances no positive purpose.

  • lmao@ the torn hoodies @ a coming out show. Someone is really trying to prove something!! lol annnnnnnnnd maybe I"m missing something, but who are those random three ppl standing in the middle of the circle?!

  • @detroitmadison Those are the parents of a recently deceased member of the Chapter. The young man in the black is a member of the Chapter.

  • @Bigd1611 Oh my. That is really sad. It is terrible to hear of anyone passing away but an undergraduate... wow. May he rest in peace.

    Nice show gentlemen & congrats.

  • @Bigd1611 So sad, so young. RIP :-(
