  • Fun fun fun!

  • Yes. Joe was always one of the slickest, fastest, killer guitarists. I saw him at the Adelphi in Slough around 1964. He still looks the same.

  • This guy is the dogs bollocks!

  • Deana3451. Better version than Ted Mulry gang, that's a band here over in Australia, they did not last long..

  • Great song, used to live near a chap who played in a band with Dave Edmonds years ago.

  • Joe Brown was a great session musician, refused to change his name, as Larry Parnes wanted, and remains one of the UK's secret weapons!! One day we'll unleash him on an unsuspecting world!!!

  • Great! Joe looks like Ronnie Dawson's brother )

  • Heavens to Murgatroid! Never knew before now that anyone had done a "ROCKIN" version of "Darktown Strutter's Ball". What a delight to listen to today for the first time! THANKS for sharing this delightful "blast from the past" with us to enjoy! :)

  • @JubalCalif

Listen to the original it's great!!

  • Wow! Rockabilly treatment to a 1911 tune (or around that time). I really enjoyed this one. You may find Jack Teagarden version quite interesting. Let me know.

  • A very underestimated guitarist and musician

  • this guy is incredible. He had backed all of the best rock 'n' roll singers Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent and 48 years later he's still here and well. Respect Mr Brown.

  • As a teenager, I was watching the Oh Boy! TV show. Marty Wilde was the star, but this spiky haired blond lad in the background, playing guitar, caught my old Dad's eye. Not a rock and roll enthusiast, he murmured, pointing at Joe Brown - "There's your REAL musician!" Very perceptive and so true!

  • just great search out on youtube rochefort en accords for more fun like this.

  • Ace - I wish I'd gone to see em at skeggy now!

  • yeah, that's good

  • The recent Joe Brown and Dave Edmunds tour was great - both in great form! Capaldi's King Creole was a revelation. However, I could have done without Pete Brown's dire That's Alright Mama.

  • Thanks for sharing this. I wish Dave would hit the USA and make up with Nick Lowe

  • I saw Dave Edmunds and Joe Brown on this tour . Also at the theatre ( watching the show in his home town ) was Terry Williams ex-Rockpile drummer. Both Dave & Terry signed my Repeat When Necessary LP cover but Dave refused point blank to sign the Rockpile LP I had.I asked Terry later in the bar about the band ( Rockpile ) ever working together again and said it wouldnt happen due to Lowe-Edmunds` fallout. Also in the audience(and bar) that night was Andy Fairweather-Low, another Welsh musician.

  • Andy is also a gem, and an overlooked one.

  • Thanks for posting, we wait for other titles....

  • VAI!!!!!
