did you even read the directions? rogain foam is only for use on your vertex, that is all. and two days you used it? it clearly says wait 2 month to see results. i have been using rogain foam for one and a half month, i am now seeing thickness in the thinner areas. maybe if u took a shower than applied it after dry it would work better

I use the spray and I have no irritation of the scalp at all an I noticed the "micro hairs" too after just a coupple of days those hairs are actually called vellus hair, if you read the instructions and stuff on the rogaine bottle/package it says that the vellus hair is the first step inh regrowth, so if you actually didn't just imagine those hairs it started to work for u :)

Yes the product does cause itching, however, if you can put up with it for a few weeks it passes.  I was completely bald on top for over twenty years[follicles never die just in resting state] and minoxidil regrew most of it back it's bril stuff.

@DiNatalli No doubt, improper nutrition plays it's role. Then is the issue of hippy hair (speaking from experience) which entails a faster hair loss then in areas where clean cut is the norm. This is mainly attributed due to the strain on the follicles when combing as the drag coefficient is appropriately reduced with crew cuts. lol

If it itches, wouldn't that be a sign of it working? I've been using that stuff daily for about half a year and it hasn't been irritating, though it hasn't done anything either (I'd actually feel quite encouraged by sensation in my head - it's like me noggin ain't pickin up no reception of nuthin). I also admire your attitude, like another commenter here says. Pity they can't transplant hair follicles from the chin area to the top of the head - then we'd be in business, no?

However a spray or two on the scalp with a turf to sprout up w/o any effort or sacrifice would be ideal. Naturally this is not so simple & I suppose I'll take hair loss as it comes, even if I cast a mockery of medicine that might replenish the vernal complection.

@Lavern4101 Perhaps it due to me easy going persona; I was never into clothes, style & find excessive hair a nuance, I tried to tie it back, w/ moderate gains in comfort. I also have a beard I scissor cut every 2 months or when the goulash clings to the underside. However it still inevitably grows back. Perhaps this is more of an issue for some aging bar hopping yuppy then for a domesticated Euro redneck!

Check your thyroid, a FULL test - not simply TSH, look up info on "StopThyroidMadness" and websites alike.

Check iron levels (should be above 50, preferably 75-100).

Consider supplements (Saw Palmetto, Omega, Evening P), rubbing oils, etc.

Sounds like a pain - but might as well give it a trial. Far too many men under 30 are simply passed off as MPB, but there are apparently far more often than not underlying issues.

Or you can just shave your head, the look is in now : )
