Be careful sliding the fuel inside the pot it will scratch the anodizing and shorten the life of the pot. I use a Bandanna or a rag to save the finish. Anodizing is nasty stuff if disturbed.

Heat displacement will be the issue. Nice idea though... Still not there though.... any ideas on how to distribute the heat?
