i wasn't referring to the factions bombing campaign of British citizens @tommyloika more the fact Bonos' charities pay only 3% of donations given. and also the millions he has avoided in tax love
Does anyone know what is the complet sentece that bono says before starts this song? I'm from Brazil and just undersand the last part: "this song is not a rebel song, this song is ...". What does he say before this at the cd version?
@fdsmarcio "There's been a lotta talk about this next song....maybe, maybe too much talk. This song is not a rebel song, this song is Sunday...bloody Sunday..." é isto que ele diz e são me engano usa a mesma frase noutro concerto.
we never 4 get this concert...when u2 became a best band in world...i miss this times...but we love u2 ever...the best band in history...u2 loves from portugal....setubal
Is it me or has anyone ever noticed that from 2:56 till this ends thats larrys drums and edges guitar sound more heavy than the dvd version? I know MTV back in the day had this heavy version also with Larrys drums beating louder which sounds great!
What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think "Sunday, bloody Sunday!".
@Durbot999 quoting alan partdridge lol although many on here actually believe thats what the song is about. For those that dont know, google Bloody Sunday 1972
Wow I was at this concert I live like 2 miles away from red rocks amphitheater . I remember it rained on us and we where passing the colombia gold. What memories
That was an epic concert for all us who where there.
You're lucky to be there! was it in1983? I was not even born that time:) but I attended their live 2 weeks ago in Istanbul! It was amazing! I'm really in love with Bono! I wish they come in my country too, in Georgia!
This video exemplifies a moment and a time when music meant something. We live in world unlike yesterday. Today's world is SO disconnected. This video was recorded prior to 9/11, but at the same time we lived a time of innocence during the 80s.
@CruiseControlOne.......Right because music doesn't mean anything anymore. People never go to concerts anymore and have uplifting, religious experiences. There are no good bands anywhere and none of them have anything important to say. And nothing bad ever happened in the 1980s. Every band from the 1980s was pure and played from the heart and money had nothing to do with it. Sorry man. This concert was awesome, but don't act so sanctimonious.
ahh U2 back in the day when they were good , a real good punk band before they got lost up their own arses with all this political nonesene and sold out and became celebritys
Sorry to bother you again, but do you think this concert venue is one of the most fuck off you've ever seen?? And I'm an old sod who was around, but far too young to go see them then! Not that old!
this is the best place to see a concert red rocks
