Optic and Bus is good but the comfort on the chairs is really bad. If you stand up about 10 minutes later your ass hurts. That chairs are so hard.... You feel like that you sitting on wooding chairs...

I don't like this fuel cell and Lithium ion stuff etc. I hope the good old diesel engine is still around long after I depart. Long live the internal combustion engine.

@1100HondaCB The only advantage a diesel engine has over this fuel cell technology is safety against explosion or burst. In rest, fuel cell is king. If you're less than 50 years old, you won't see to much around the good old diesel engine. Have a good day!

@cookj1132 It's significantly more than that I would assume. I do not know exactly but I would estimate upwards of a $1million.

@gecalsthom It's a concept in testing for now. But when it will get into series production, it won't cost to much comparable to a standard diesel bus - maximum 20% more.

@Kitfugl Nope. That's how the Ballard fuel cell powertrain sounds like on the Citaro. I haven't been on this model but I did try the older Fuel Cell Citaros when they were operating the RV1 route in London a few years back and they do have this characteristic high pitched whine.

@ritariassafani They still develope them. The difference is, that the citaroGbluetech hybrid is a standart fuel based hybrid (like a Prius) and this one here has a new FuelCell engine combined with a hybrid, so you see, two different things:D

I use everyday the new citaro busses in germany ^^. But not as an hybrid, they need CNG Gas for´their Fuelcell.

And the best is, I'm just making my driver Liecen's for Bus^^

@MercedesF700 you can just go overseas they have many buses like this and even better in most large cities of western europe. Me personally I prefer the trolleybuses over anything else, they are environment friendly and the closets things to trams you'll ever get to ride, and the engines sound amazing.
