  • Great tut. Where can I get the plug in?

  • @novicetech1 It's built in to Gimp.

  • Too bad the website isnt there anymore

  • @zolmecb everythingfx? Yeah I wish those guys were still around.

  • it doesn't work

  • @iLikeKnete What doesn't work?

  • @DavidWoodFX the flame.. it's black ..i mean the little windows at 1:25 , there no flame Ó_Ò

  • @iLikeKnete Does the gradient used by the flame feature black? If so choose a gradient with light colors.

  • @DavidWoodFX ^^ jeea it wokr :]

  • @iLikeKnete *work

  • @iLikeKnete Glad to help.

  • @DavidWoodFX :]

  • where i must klick to download it ??

  • what brush shoukd be sleected

    \

  • @woundedpouldoe There are no brushes used in this tutorial.

  • @DavidWoodFX by the way ur a beast was wondering if you could make a tutorial a realidtic fire

  • @woundedpouldoe Realistic fire is pretty hard to replicate. Tutorials on fire not as realistic have been done before.

  • @DavidWoodFX ya i looked up some but they all shit compared to the one you made

  • why did this channel and website have to go down(the one ur promoting not this channel obviously). they shuda left the vidz up...oh my. i wonder what happened there? :x

  • @True2TheBlueYoViGang The guys that ran EverythingFX got too busy for the channel. They actually got jobs in the design field. :)

  • @DavidWoodFX

o wow thats awesome dude i wish them the best! :D

  • hey just discovered somethin try it out... if you draw the flame THEN fill in the background you get a realy cool web-like effect

  • this is really cool i found this in tech class

  • dude that is realz cool!!

  • I had my middle school technology class watch this tutorial and create it, they all seemed to be able to follow along and learned some new features of the program. This is an awesome feature!!

  • @lisabiggs01 That's awesome! I never expected my tutorial to be watched in school. :D

  • @fartdum123 Windows, Dockable Dialogs, Layers, that's the window you need for this tutorial.

  • I've gotta disagree with you on one aspect, I love the little wispy filaments in my fractals! Other than that, very cool tutorial. =P

  • This is extremely useful, thanks

  • That looks really cool

  • Newbie Question,

    Whats the alpha channel???

  • @MysteryRandomGuy2 An alpha channel allows a layer to have transparency. So if a layer does NOT have an alpha channel, the eraser tool or the 'clear' option under the 'edit' menu will not erase, instead it will paint or fill with the background color. We have to remove the alpha channel or else the flame layer will have a transparent background. :) Hope this helps!

  • Thank you so much, David! I was totally unaware that this plugin was part of Gimp, which I use regularly to post process my flame fractals made with Oxidizer. I will enjoy trying it, and you have made it so much easier... :-)

  • Glad to help. Flame is, and always will be, my favorite plugin. :)

  • wow it´s great

  • Thanks! Sorry about the goofy sound quality though. :)

  • Very good tutorial.

  • Thank you. :)

  • What kind of plugins? Plugins that end in .exe, or scripts that end in .scm?

  • cool effect I have a request please do a tut on installing plugins please please!!

  • Flame is an awesome plug!

  • Wow, what a cool plugin! I gotta try it.
