@Warnguy24h Dr. Wily made Zero, so the conciousness was made by him. Zero being like X can make his own decisions. So he decided to be good. Weil created Omega's conciousness. Weil used Zero's body and made a copy that held Zero's original conciousness. Which kinda makes Omega and Zero bros if you think about it.

Actually, I think that Omega's mind is... the original. Because remember - when Zero was awakened, he attacked everyone around him - until Sigma (the original Maverick Hunter group leader) fought him head on. Then, his chip was destroyed, BUT it transferred itself to Sigma, only to be later called the "Sigma virus". I think Omega is that very strain of the virus, which would make him not only OWN the original Zero's body, but also BE the original Zero. I think that... (continued in next comment)

@DarkOne23456 It's my understanding that you encounter Omega in a rift in cyberspace, which is kinda like the afterlife of reploids. So, you're actually fighting the soul of Omega in that battle. Why it explodes is beyond me, but Phantom did the same thing in MMZ3.

The term "Ware wa Messhia Nari!!" (I am the Messiah) is Omega thinking he is one step below God. Which is essentially, our Jesus.

Omega saw himself as Jesus, and Weil, as God of the world. Thus he is saying: "I am Jesus!"

Although, from a good side point of view, he technically would be some sort of devil. But we're talking about Omega's view, since Omega's view is all that matters to Omega himself. :)

@HolyHeeroYui I think the thing with people thinking that Omega is the real Zero is people not getting to the part where is says that Zero is actually the real Zero. because it is said that Omega is the original before it is said that only the body is original, not the mind.

Perhaps. However it is hinted through the game about the truth.

The first hint being after the intro stage.

Second is after beating Copy X.

Third is before you go to Sub Neo Arcadia.

And fourth is after you beat Phantom. (This is of course a 'secret' and can be missed.)

However, after you beat him, it is revealed that he is nothing more than a new mind in the original body, and that Zero actually is the real Zero, just in a copy body.

@pmd2lolz Yes thats true. think about Mega Man x2 Zero is rebuilt because his control chip (his brain) is still intact and the fake zero is fake. so Zero in the zero series has a different body but has the Control Chip of the ORIGINAL zero. whereas omega has zeros old body but Omegas preposed control chip

Okay i'm that awesome i had to clear this up for y'all. originally zero was built after Bass stopped hunting down megaman. Zero was built to kill megaman and was all badass, many moons passed, sigma kicked his ass and he got some new shizzle from X(some parts) oh and his memory ent bubye, after that he joined the maverick hunters. Play through MMX 4 if you feel like confirming this for yourself

Omega is in Zero's original body, true, but it wasn't an "evil" body. It's Omega himself. Dr. Weil says something to the effect that he manipulated Zero's original body to allow Omega's 'heart' into it.

As FOr Zero, he's in a 'fake' body, but he has the same 'heart'. All his memories, etc. were transferred to that body.
