I understand from the forums that this works for the 3G version as well. I have an EU 3G 10.1 tab and I really want to root it, will this work?

@Sergio29pr I'll make a new video... BUt the process for rooting is the same, you just have to use the CWM 5 tar instead of the one shown in this video

As Im a complete noob, Im trying to get an idea of putting a kernel onto my tab.

Apart from filtering through the XDA forums do you know of any good resources?

@qbking77 So I followed it, and messed up my tab. I was following it through step by step, and then realised you wanted the rom on the tablet before you wipe it, which you didnt mention beforehand. Though in hindsight it was pretty obvious. Anyway around this? As it now freezes up on startup stuck on the Samsung Tab text

@Fatalpath Yes, you can go into CWM and go into mounts and storage and hit mount usb and plug it into your pc and transfer the rom over

@Fatalpath To install a kernel, first make sure you're on a custom rom. Then wipe cache and dalvik and install the kernel

Got my Tab when it first came out.

Barely rooted like last month.

Running DaAwesome1's stock Honeycomb rom and it's fast as hell!

Can't wait for CM9!
