i got the chance to see them in Minneapolis in 2006 with the group Hurdy Gurdy. it was an awesome show. i love the culture that they keep with her voice and lyrics. ive since lost the cds that i bought... so youtube saved the day here.

But actually bläck means "ink". It´s about writing a letter, maybe with a goosepen, a loveletter about passed times. Black in english is svart in swedish. A great initiative to put this on the web.

...uhm...no its a swedish folksong, based on swedish folklore, not german.

although we share the same root heritage (germanic/scandinavian) we both have our own different regional lore.

English will loose its status as lingua franca just like all the previous languages that had such influence. However, I presume that Chinese is next in the row, not the Hindi actually.

id like to agree with you but its simply not true.. sadly in the future everyone will speak english. my theorys are due to how widespread our kingdom once was. ie china india etc.. also almost every coountry from mid 90s onward is usualy taught english. the english language has a small uncomplex alphabet but some of the most descriptive words or sentance combinations. the final is that computer programming and digital communications are done (at higest level) entirely in english.

Yes and no... English is at its peak at best now. However, the influence of Mandarin - already great in the East - starts growing.

20 years ago, teaching of English started in the Eastern Europe. Now, more and more scholls start to teach Chinese. Chinese films start to appear in cinemas. Of course, it`s not like this course is inevitable - but I observe increasing tension and general tendency. Chinese keeps growing.

As for the final - so was Latin and medicine.
