Need more people like Athens??? Well man... The Iced Earth show in Brazil, specially on Sao Paulo, was AWESOME!!! The crowd was crazy and singing every song... Perhaps the crowd here was more LIVE and ENERGIC than Athens!!! Both are great places for Metal and Iced Earth: Crazy fans and incredible show!!!

@OfficialMysticalEnd i cant be the judge of the Brazilian shows,but since i was in the "Alive in Athens" ones let me tell you this: the DVD does the Greek fans NO justice. Barlow and Schaffer themselves have admitted that they had to re-record some vocal parts because we were SO loud.plus the dvd has some of the worse editing EVER,copy-paste screams from the crowd,showing ppl singing at other songs and stupid stuff like that

Oh man that begining riff with all the gallops is amazing. This IS my favorite Iced Earth song. Brent is a really freaking technical drummer. I can't learn very many of their songs, but I'm gonna try this one xD

Jon Shaffer is a capable vocalist for this song. It's old but it's a timeless classic. Still one of my favorites from Iced Earth.

I obviously think he's an awesome guitarist and like his style and all but I don't find it THAT impressive. I can pick faster than that, even though I'm the only one out of everyone I know that can play things like this and Angel's Holocause due to the speed. Maybe its just me, I don't know.

I can do it with my current camera, but if you see my videos you'll notice that it gets horribly out of sync. My retarded camera doesn't have an audio input, so I have to record the audio from my MP3 player, or another source, and then place it on top of the video. Due to the formatting of either the audio or the video, I'm not sure, they get horribly out of sync. So, I can either wait until I get a new camera, or do it with my current camera, and it will be out of sync.

Alright, I'll look into that. I'm a pro at audio-editing but video editing is a different story for me. I was using Adobe Premiere, and I barely know how to much with it. I'll look into VirtualDub and see what I can do.

nobodies saying hes a bad singer, some of the songs just arent made for him though. he is a phenominal singer but his voice doesnt have a deep dark kinda feel to it, which some of the songs by iced earth are written for.

I'm not a huge fan of Desert Rain. I like it, its just one of the weaker songs on the album in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I like ALL of the songs on Night of the Stormrider, just HAVE to like some more than others, right? Just like Metallica, Load and Re-load are their worst in my opinion, but I still like them...

Jon definitley is still a great musician. I hate how everyone insults owens. Its not his fault that the old songs were not written for him, they were written for Barlow,Greely, and Adam, thats why his voice isint right for them. i dont really like his voice for the older songs either but when the songs are written for him they sound great. He gets no respect because he had to replace two of the greatest metal singers of all time. give the guy a break

Schaffer should be on lead vocals, since he made a great pair with Barlow, it isn't that weird that most Iced Earth songs would sound nice with him instead of Owens. I Do like Owens too though =)

Jon is easily my favourite metal rhythm guitarist. He is so great, perfect time, locking extremely solidly with the drummer... And fun rhythms. But damn, the lead guitar is turned way low here :)

I don't think Troy missed the solo. At 1:40 or so you can see him playing up high on the neck. I think the lead guitar is just really low in the mix and this camera didn't pick it up.

I still like Iced Earth, but it's just not the same since Shawver left. His solos really added something to Iced Earth.  Every album since Burnt Offerings has been decent at best. I know Shawver played on Dark Saga but that album IMHO was just not that great. Only a few fast songs. Everything now is almost slow or mid-paced.
