  • Strange looking fume extractor....although my favorite bit is when the officer salutes and bows at the same time.....great stuff that Japanese politeness.....

  • It's mean looking, gots lots of gizmoz, huge ass turret and costs a shiton, sounds about right. Their modern tank development is coming along nicely.

  • This is fuckin JAP's toy.

    It's looks like very cheap:)

  • @mijinkoEX

Japan and cheap do not mix.

  • @mijinkoEX Like you mum?

  • @vonkeonig i got psp!! yahhhhh!!!

  • @mijinkoEX LOL HAHAH you fucking wish

  • The reason it can squat down lke that...Chuck Norris is inside.

  • i like the look of this tank

  • OMG it just got tuned up San Andreas STYLE!! Low rider hahaha!

  • Dont Worry It Got Flooded by The Tsunami... HOW U LIKE THE MOTHERNATURE NOW MOFUKAZ

  • Did they need a new tank?

  • I wonder how this bad boy would do if it was thrown into a war. Most modern Japanese equipment has never been used in combat which often the true test of any piece of military hardware.

  • @steelgear Japanese military equipment now days are just for self defence and are special constructed for Japanese land and nature. Using this tanks to invade a country would be a bad thing as it is not an assault tanks, only for defence

  • @SMGJohn You seemed to have missed my point completely. I am saying there is no telling how good this tank is unless we see how good it is in combat. Never once did I say anything about how effective it would be in an invasion. I suggest you re-read my comment.

  • @steelgear That's my point, you should think again. I was talking about your comment about your point of it being tested in the field. It would have to be employed in Middle East or something, or do you expect Japan to be invaded in order for it to be effective? Actually the only two countries that could attack Japan would be South Korea or America.

  • @SMGJohn I think you have gone on a very wild tangent on hypothetical enemies and fictional combat situations which has little bearing on what i said or even reality for that matter. I have made my point and I'm not interested in getting into an online argument with someone with little capacity for English comprehension.

  • @steelgear Talk about being American

  • @steelgear

I would kindly take his place in this civilized discourse. Please procceed.

  • @sovietamerican2 lol......be my guest. :)

  • @steelgear

You go first, make a point, than I go to refute it.

  • is it tsunami proof?

  • godzilla; run.

  • that thing can use some wd40s

  • Why does Japan need a tank? whens the last time it went to war with anything

  • @seeriktus they need it to defend against Godzilla.

  • It's a tank.

    It will burn.

  • I wonder it is comes with all the extra items as standard you have to pay extra for from other tank manufacturers.

  • but does it blend?...

  • 0:41 pimped out suspension... suck on that M1... =P

  • @akinkhoo t-bar still has about twice the roadwheel travel though. Hydropneumatic is limited by the size of the cylinder when compressed (at most 1/2 the extended size), just like coil spring suspensions in world war 2. Torsion bar is limited only by the limit at which the wheel itself can travel, so it can travel further. It's also easier to fix.

Hydropneumatic is better for high speed over mild terrain, but torsion bars give you higher speed & traction over the harshest terrain.

  • @redreaper2020

Your criticism over hydropneumatic suspension is new to me, I would be interested in taking a look at the sources that led you to beleive that Torsion bar is better for harsh rough terrain. Thank you!

  • @marmaladekamikaze simple math. Hydropneumatic uses a cylinder with up to 1/2 its size at compressed. Torsion bar can twist as far as the wheel has room. It's the same as comparing Christie and standard coil spring bogies--same problem, which is the springing medium's compressed size. T-bars are compressed rotationally, not linearly.

  • @redreaper2020

Interesting, I'll have to look into it some more, I've taken a spin in one of the old Citreon cars, that had a hydropneumatic suspension, and although it might not be the best choice for a ruggedized tank, it was the most comfortable driving I have ever had. Pot holes were glided over with ease. Perhaps with the move to most conflicts now occurring in urban areas, Torsion bar(although more versatile) may not be the best option? Also I was wondering if you could answer a question-

  • @redreaper2020

-Question, since conventional Tracked MBT's are prone to track failure, which puts the whole vehicle out of business, why haven't tank designers compromised and tried a 6x6 independently driven, mini track system, like the Bronco Mattracks?(a vid of the mattrack is here on the tube). That way the tank could still move if one track failed, right?

  • @marmaladekamikaze Huh. That's a good idea (though mattrack itself wouldn't work). I'd imagine that weight would be an issue though, as well as complexity and the fact that it's all about ground pressure and one track = one set of parts, one driveshaft, and one solid ground contact area.

Nonetheless, that's a damn good idea...

  • @marmaladekamikaze hell, you might even be able to simplify the suspension by having just the whole track bogie be suspended, rather than each roadwheel, and that'd also remove the issue of track shedding (having tracks slip off). It'd make repair easy as well.

    That's a very good idea.

  • After WW|| Japans was never aloud to make a navy or army because of Pearl Harbor that is why they are so technologically advanced because all of there money goss to technology research instead of an military

  • big question, could it change into a gundam

  • @MIKHAIL1181 Silly Otaku

  • Comment removed

  • finally they learned from ww2 were they had mostly crap tanks........but this looks master like!

  • This is in Korea. -__-

Korea has a BIG plan: Within the next 25 years, replace all the electronic products in every household in the world.

  • Aw man, I didn't know that tank had switches. Bad ass.

  • anti godzilla rounds in that baby

  • is it just me, or does this tank look like it's made from a plastic mould cast? Japanese jokers, they so funny.

  • wow these Japanese tanks looks sick as Australia could use some of these

  • They have classified video where it transforms into a gundam jet robot

  • ya but who wants to actually fight japan these days?

they are more like cute cuddly red pandas, then a tiger.

  • For a sec I thought it was going to transform into a Gundam.

  • @Methodoc We're sorry but its classified.

  • It's maneuverability sucks compared to other high power nation tanks

  • They can't even have a military. >_>

  • Does it come with a cup-holder?

  • a low-rider tank lmao

  • 醜悪な日本人たちの野心を阻止しなさい

  • I don't like the shape of the turret. The top of the turret would deflect a projectile with it's extreme slope, which is desirable. The underside of the leading edge of the turret creates a pocket that would deflect a projectile into the tank. An unfortunate compromise. The same would be true of a projectile striking on the top of the leading edge of the front of the body. Quite a large crotch in the forward face of this tank that other modern tanks designs have tried to minimize.

  • @mu99ins I agree completely. The Leopard ll has a similar design and I cant help but ask what will happen when a round strikes and gets jammed permanently between the turret and hull. Its as if asking to scoop incomming rounds into a weak spot.

  • godzilla might use it to scratch his ass.

  • lmfao!!! was this tank designed by a nigga? thought so cause it looks like a cadillac hydraulics.

  • Sure is gentle as anything Japanese, light weight helps szybkicm movement but as practice shows - the speed does not help on the battlefield because it hit is unavoidable in today's missiles and rockets. If you invest in a tank is more durable and tough as possible for a slightly faster tank and so will be hit so you better live than die.

  • k1 and k2 will kick that Japanese tanks ass

  • If it doesnt transform in some giant robot, its not worth it.

  • it must have fairly thin armor to only weigh 44 tones :/

  • looks effective against Godzilla!

  • Not a bad tank, looks like a hybrid of a Merkava IV and a Leopard 2. Can't believe it's 44 tons though, that must be wrong.

  • @Nighthawk117 I think it is correct. Every other sources say 44 tons. Unlike the others tanks which designed mainly for open space combat, Type 10 was designed for fighting in urban area. So they made it compact and light weight without sacrificing firepower and armor protection.

Yeah, it is really impressive that they actually managed to pull off 44 tons!!!

  • Since China threat is becoming real and greater, sooner or later Japanese people will evetually have to agree to change the constitution. For quite a while, Japanese government has been discussing about changing constitution, so they can convert "self defence force" to "military" and have the capability to do first strike before enemy attacks. This also would be great for US. Japan will be able help us militarily when we need real help, instead of sending us money as usual.

  • @Sitti2300

yeah, Japan better watch China carefully because China still owe Japan some serious pain payback. There's a score to be settled and the time is approaching to even the score. There's one big old can of whoop-ass waiting to be opened up all over Japan as a gift from China. there's a score to be settled, wrongs to be righted, the face of justice is glaring grimly at Japan's shores. They better start making real tanks very soon, lots of them. And I don't mean "cute" joke tanks.

  • @MustNotRead Well, Type 10 isn't a joke at all. It is very serious tank, and it is extremely cutting edge. They found the way to designed type 10 compact and light weight without sacrificing firepower and armor protection. It weights only 44 tons. Japanese designed this to be used in urban area. Several M1 tanks were destroyed in urban area of Iraq. Tanks are deisgned to be use in open space. But Type 10 is designed to fight in small space urban area where full size tanks are very vulnerable.

  • @MustNotRead Japanese also have full size main battle tank Type 90, which is also very very advanced.

  • will it blend? that is the question.

  • i must be mistken but i thot japan couldnt have a standing army?

  • @carrionpvp Japan is no longer under any restriction. As independent nation, they are free to have military power just like any other country. BUT Japanese people are the ones that are currently restricting Japanese military power. Japan's current constitution allows only enough military power to defend Japan, not to attack. Even though they are among the top 10 military in the world, this is why they call their military as "Self Defence Force". Japanese people don't want to change constitution.

  • @Sitti2300 oh ok

  • Comment removed

  • boring....

  • japs, gooks, and chinks all want to invade the us cause were free. we got god on our side tho GOD BLESS USA

  • Has a major weak spot directly under the gun.

  • that will break if it goes into combat..too much on it to go wrong

  • Japenese tank. The engine probably has 32 cam shafts per cylinder, runs off of a mix of 93 octane and tentacle-raped schoolgirl cum, and the entire body is made of plastic and aluminum.

But it'll run 5 bazillion miles.

  • Will it blend?

  • The last time Japan went into battle...it didn't turn out so well.

  • @lotanerve I actually saw some Japanese Forces in Iraq back in 2004.

  • awesome tank, but where are they doing this demonstration?looks like a carpark behind some suburban block of units...go the japs..

  • lol nice tank. im sure all the lowriders in brooklyn would love the hydraulics on that

  • Jeez... Incredible turret movement...

  • It's a deceptacon

  • Nice video of a tank with an interesting turret armor design, and a hydraulic, "self-leveling" system not unlike what a grain harvester employs.

  • do the breaks work

  • MAKE TANK TRANSFORMER

  • hahaha it's an electric pile of shit just like all the imports in America! If your going to build a tank make it big, powerful and above all loud!!! But wait America's still probably holding them back from getting a military. I bet there are still American occupied areas in Japan and Germany

  • @Captain25011 Are you fucking stupid?

America is one of Japan's biggest allies. Of course we have troops stationed in Japan and Germany, almost every country does.

  • Just do more cheap toyotas ok.

  • i bet it has a 10 giga pixel camera with a " holy shit " face detection!

  • @shamalawy it prolly has a play station too

  • @Gideon359 That'll be its weakpoint. The tank will be taken over once the playstation network is hacked. Again.

  • @shamalawy You fucken nerd cunt

  • I hope that the jacuzzi functions under fire!

  • Sweet hydraulics, hope it has an equal soundsystem!

  • war sucks.

  • @Swisscheez92 But it brings about the greatest creations of man.

  • @SpecOpCellBorn that is true, and kind of sad.

  • I am not sure if tanks are the most practical defencive solution for Japans moutainous and heavyly urbanized environments. In most countries the tank is ideal since it would control open country, something Japan has very little left of. Japan has more urbanized environments then open country. The tank is mostly for projecting land power, not wasting itself holding ground.

  • A tank that will never go in a battle, as all previous post war japan weapons, just a monney gape... It's not all the coutries that can waste monney like that !

They should produce cheaper airsoft guns, like that fucking china counterfeits won't be bought.

  • How to buff concrete....

  • front, back, side to side. did a mexican dude make this thing?

  • it comes with a Wii, so u can play games while in war.

  • You guys do realize it's inferior to the Type 90 currently in JGSDF service, right? Just like the newer F-16 is inferior to the older F-15.

  • @milvipes Don't you mean the Type 10 Is the latest model?

  • if there is new psp then i take it ))))))))))

  • Aren't tanks offensive weapons?

Only way Japan can grow as a true world power is to take and control China... In these modern times, not sure how that can be done...

  • When i show up to work in one of these, no one will thinkof stealing my parking space anymore.... muahaha

  • Japan have the economic and technological capacity to become global military power. wonder what stop them.

  • @phadil What stops them is the United states. they are not allowed to have more than a certain limit in their forces. Only enough for defence. I know Japan HAS the technology to surpass anyone with a military.. fcking dudes will have a fcking big ass robot if not kept under supervision LOL

  • @reelmagic Half way right... the US forced Japan to write a pacifist constitution after the war. At this point the US would not be opposed to Japan building a more powerful army - the two countries are close allies. Japan does not because 1. The constitution is popular and 2. they don't want to waste the huge amounts of money it would take when they can rely on the US for defense.

  • @stephencashman While US busy spreading democracy throughout the world, Japan are busy spreading it's cars and LCDs throughout US.

  • @phadil China is actually :L

  • @phadil

And soon the japanese will be able to revenge the nuclear bombing. The losers never forget.

  • that thing looks like a beast. but i bet iron man would just like shoot that tiny stick grenade thingy at it and it would blow to a billion pieces

  • mommy i want one of these for christmas lamooo

  • The question is, how does this thing do outside of a concrete parking lot?

  • 

  • This tank is useless! For an elementary electronic counter, you can use the micro-physical laws. and this tank does not move anywhere, and neutralizes the electron is ordained!

  • Beware people, that's a gundam right there xD

  • haha its got hydrolics it cant be chinese it must be mexican

  • The Japanese have stolen South American technology.

  • They forgot the chrome accents.

  • @spetsnazcu I don't think you can 'rip off' a tank. It's not a CD we are talking about here lol. But if they wanted to copy the Merkava the Japanese sure could do it.

  • thats one badass ride..

  • That thing looks freaking CREEPY.

  • wait did its tires just go flat?

  • @ji9mpopin hydralics meh thinks :)

  • @Ormonkor yea i had to watch it agian lol

  • it looks so clean but it would suck if a bird took a shit on it lol

  • LOL

  • respect to Japan army.

  • The japanese were restricted to have an army after WW2 but they do contribute to UN forces and have a couple of US soldiers stationed on a island.Just wanted to inform so you don't look dumb next time.

  • this time you showed your self dumb. Japan has army for defencife purpose, even they were in coalition with US in Iraq (2005) . Japan enginier group was within UK Multinational Division SE in Basrah region.

  • well done Japan

  • Looks pretty sharp Japanese need any DEFENSIVE systems give me a call---Again I said Defensive Systems--I now know about Article 9 so love to increase Defense!

  • tank is all about mobility, gun muzzle velocity/calibre, and protection and informatic system. type-10 is lower than some of the other new tanks on gun muzzle velocity because it has a shorter barrel, but they've developed this burst fire machanism which would conpansate that some what.

  • Looks kinda' futuristic...

  • Can it transform into a gundam?

  • I was expecting it transforming into a Decepticon Brawl LOL :)

  • @MontyPython134 obviously it does

it also has data link with the all seen eye "doraemon"

  • @MontyPython134 it is tank not transformer loser!

  • @dragonXak47 he obv just said that cause its made by the jap's, use your head.. "loser"

  • @slim77k gundam is not fucking trsnformer u bitch is robot soldiers and 2 this tank is for army and 3 you dont speak japanese but i speak you loser shut fuck up bitch

  • @slim77k gundam is not transformer u bitch gundam is robot soldiers you loser and 2 you dont speak japanese but i speak shut fuck up u fucking loser

  • @dragonXak47 NERG RAEG

  • @redreaper2020 nerg raeg? lol shut fuck up dude u stupid!!!

  • abrams vs that

    who wins?

  • Check out the sweet suspension! The lowrider tank lol

  • nice

  • looks like a leo and a challe mixed

  • more like leo and leclerc to me

  • hey guys do you know how exactly tanks turn? i know its something under but how does it easily turn them while moving with such weight and traction

  • wow it kinda got a low shillotte nice i know its al digtial and looks like its got a 120mm on it nice

  • lowrider tank!!! :P itsa good tank i like it

  • does it come with an mp3 player?

  • Walkman not iPod
