@pogleswood2 Depending on which account you read the song was called either Standing or Sleeping Next To You.

In the mid 80s a bootleg came out of the pair rehersing in a hotel room.

Alongside Standing/Sleeping Next To You they also did another Bolan/Bowie composition called Madman,which was later covered by the Cuddly Toys.Hope this is of help to you.

Often cast as bitter rivals, Marc and David were actually great mates. Did anybody hear Bowie talking about Marc on a recent Radio Two tribute to Marc? He was so sweet and said Marc was his best friend. Marc opened the door for Bowie and David never forgot this.

David Bowie, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Roy Wood were all from 70's like Marc Bolan. I'm sure Marc would be singing even today because he was never afraid to experiment.
