  • Cool video, subscribed

  • Great rifle & lovely stock...

  • Just getting back into shooting due to commitments (had 2 sell my toys)

& i have allways had springers in the past.you are right people drop the rifle to soon after the shot

not allowing the rifle to go through cycle.I have a 3x9x40 scope if you are shooting a target around 30 metres & got scope at x8 zoom do you have to compensate left or right, when you have scope on full zoom does it amplify your movement. It has taken me ages to zero my scope & inpast allways been better shot with open sites.

  • Air Arms TX200 Hunter Carbine - .177 seems high quality sharp shoot

  • FINALLY SOME ONE GIVES SPRING GUNS THEIR PROPS. the onwer of a RWS.model 48 & a GAMO SOCOM EXTREEM MY "PUTTIN FOOD ON THE TABLE RANGE IS 70m

  • Your famous for your experience, and for your shooting, I can see why. Thanks so much for sharing with all of Us, cheers

  • How much joules does this rifle give? I have one in 4.5mm which gives 16 joules or 12fp. It does his a plastic soda-bottle at 70meters but does not knock it over. You make nice video's by the way....

  • nice head bang at 2.29

  • I have a dime I use. I'm too cheap to waste 2$, but I think my gun could pop out the center of a Canadian $2 coin.

  • Veru nice shooting indeed.

  • good vid, thanks for the tips on shooting techniques, will try to use them with my hw97kt.

  • Nice shooting !

  • The man knows what he is saying and also has great DVD's !!!

  • Will the .177 kick more and be a bit more hold sensitive than the .22?

  • you didnt need the micrometer, there was a ruler next to them

  • u should jump and 360 it like its an intervention and u should get yourself a killstreak and call in yor BF2 and rinse the joint

  • What's with the laborious measuring? I think ppl know how big bottlecaps are.

  • Thanks, nice video.

  • What you are actually doing is minimising movement while the shot is being released to the target.

    Si

  • Most of the accuracy from a springer is lost when you pull the trigger and lift your head from the scope. A technique called follow through is used to help minimise lost accuracy and ensure a successful shot. Squeeze the trigger and once the shot is released keep the trigger finger pulled in and your eye in the scope till the pellet hits the target. Once the pellet hits its mark release the trigger and then lift your head from the scope.

  • I did not understood the "follow through" tehnique .... pls explain. I got a magnum springer and it kicks alot

  • thanks:)

  • I suppose you wouldn't know where to get a stronger spring for the PS since you live in the land of the anti-gun gubbmint.

  • Because the Pro Sport is better in my opinion and is like a tuned rifle straight out the box.

  • Si, why did you go w/ the Pro Sport instead of the TX200? I've read this is better. But costs more. What say you? Thx.

  • great video though!

  • its a Hawke Nite Eye with the sr12 reticle

  • Hey Si what kind of scope do you have on you pro sport

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing.

  • faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiilllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • Great video, nice listenin to it. You can feel that man knows what he's talking about.

    Cheers, from lithuania airguners.

  • good old marksmanship principles cant go far wrong when using them si yav explained it wel mate good vid

  • Comment removed

  • This man knows what he is talking about !

  • Si thanks to your videos I've bought a PS in .22cal and love this rifle, thanks for the teaching keep the videos comming Mark in the U.S.A.

  • hiya si i bought a pro sport the other week when i first got it it was realy quiet and smooth now i have put 500 shots though it it is noisier and has more recoil and has lost accuracy y is this?

  • Thanks for the quick Si, is there anything special I should check on that make of rifle to ensure it's in good nick. Thanks for the great videos very helpful for learning new things.

  • Yes that would be ideal for hunting mate.

    Si

  • Hi Si,

I've been offered an air arms prosport in .177 and mint condition. The price is great but I'm wondering if the .177 version of this rifle is adequate to hunt pigeons and rabbits. Any thoughts I'd really appreciate it.

    Jonny

  • is that a CO2 rifle or a PCP?

  • @19MarinonGLeoN68 new style of underlever incorporating the cocking handle fully into the belly of the stock. so it is basically just a spring rifle with the added bonus of a fixed barrel for accuracy.

    ]

  • Excellent info

  • quality instruction. nice one.

  • Pretty good, long video but you produced the goods there.

You're a better shot than me and my Lightning XL!

  • is that a webley raider?

  • this is awsome , i wish i could spend couple hrs with you to help me set up my kit, ive got an airarms s400 with a nikko stirling 6x24x56 scope, wannting to do field target.could do you a trade, ive got ratting permission if you wanted to work your patterdale, plus id pay you for your help? based in telford but i could travel.

  • Si keep up the good vids! just bought a pro-sport and your vidoes have helped me zero it properly. Im new to airgunning and have no permission to shoot anywhere yet, what advise can you give me in obtaining permission off farmers?

  • I've recently bought an S400K .177 and really want a prosport aswell now haha

  • is it ok if i subscribe to you? im eager to learn as much as i can about using scopes, gun types, and anything that can help me become a pro hunter. nice one zinaroon!

  • hello there zinaroon ive just this week took up hunting n my mate who is an ACE hunter highly recomended me to check out your vids n now i see why. thanks mate i can learn a lot from you now whilst im at home to help me become a better hunter next time i go keep up the good work! ps my mate said your shooting is amazing!

  • Good stuff

  • @Zinaroon, great video.

  • @thebestshooter123, I really don't think the tree feels the 50m pellet shot too much, it'll be okay.

  • why do you feel the need to shoot into trees ? what was wrong with setting up a target at that range . some land owners would throw you off their land for shooting into trees ,small point but shoots are hard to gain but easy lost !

  • amazing shooting , especially with .22 cal , you just won me over again to air arms from a HW 97k ( ive saved up £350 and have been torn down the middle over the AA TX 200 and the HW 97k )

Now I am looking at the AA prosport as well :-)) - I have to admit its the lothar walther barrel of the air arms thats edging it now - either way my local rfd is gonna be a very happy man on friday coming .

  • @ThePanzerfist44 hello..im suffering the same dilema..did you decide yet?..im leaning on the tx200 to

  • If you want to see the Artillery Hold llok at this.

Do a search on here there are many demos.

And yes i do know what it is thanks.

    Si

  • I don't recall you mentioning the Artillary hold. Are you aware of that? But I listen to what you have to say since you're the expert. thanks for the vids

  • Great info, video and shooting will look forward to you uploading some more material in the future.

  • if anyone needs to know did the same tests myself, and the AIr arms pro sport is a uk legel 12ft/lb air rifle all the test are true including a hold over shooting i did at 100,yards at bean cans and the pellets went all the way thro a would recomend this air rifle to anyone. please note this is the easy air rifle to take apart 5 hex bolts and one in the acion and its apart new spring and seal relube and your back shooting. thanx

  • great video mate after always wanted to try a pro sport this video made me decide to go for a 22.walnut, did some tests my self and can confirm that everything in this video is 100% true including the 100,yard shooting i did at a bean tin and the pellets wen all the way thro the tin. i can hit the red end of a mach stick at 30,yards fantastic air rifle and no pumps bottles and waching the bloody air gagage all the time like pcp. thanx mate love this video.

  • hallo i know you did 3 huntig videos and I would like to buy them.please contact me to this email:fabri2212@yahoo.de, my name is fabrizio an hunter as well.bye bye

  • Where can I get weihrauch rifles in the united states???????

  • is the air rifle fac??

  • @weaponmakable No Zinaroons ProSport is 12 tflb max. He lives in the UK ans thats the legal limit without a FAC. If I recall right his rifle running on those Fx pellets when chronoed was running at 11.8 ftlbs.

  • Great video! Would you recommend me to buy the pro sport or the tx200?

  • hi there if possible could you do a video on zeroing a rifle please because im having some trouble thanks

  • Hi Si. May I ask which model of GunTuf Rangefinder you are using? I've been shooting for years and make fairly good range predictions at my target but, the old peepers are not what they were when I was your age. I can, however, see any number of uses for one on my own permissions for long range target practice or hunting.

  • You need to really rest your rifle on your palm mate.

Put something soft under your hand.

Remember trigger techniche and follow through.

    Si

  • @Zinaroon Mate..im a Royal Marine Commando..marksman too with the BPT troop and that was text book explanation of shooting principles..even including the correct explanation of having the rifle pointing naturally at the target with the optics tracking up and down with breathing...and explaining that one should SQUEEZXE the trigger and not snatch it and that the squeeze should be followed through after release. Excellent stuff mate. Secondly..what do you think of the Pro Sport? im considering one

  • An FX 15.895 grain pellet.

  • What pellet did you use?

  • They are both very good rifles mate and i couldnt really say which one is better.

I have a mate that has both rifles and he uses his TX200 more though.

    Si

  • helpfull lesson and nice shooting, but You hurt this trees!

  • i'm thinking of getting the pro sport but i want it in 177. as the trajectory with be flatter and a higher velocity, would it be any good for hunting in 177?

  • Its a GunTuff LRF mate from RS Ramsbottom.

    A very good LRF.

    Si

  • hi zinaroon, can you tell me what range finder your using... looking to buy one soon if you have any recomendations

    cheers andy.

  • The new Weihrauch HW97KT is an amazing rifle mate.

I would buy one of them any day over a TX200.

    Si

  • @Zinaroon the new Weihrauch HW97KT?..tell me more...

  • If your rifle is .22 calibre at 12 FP then zero it at 25 metres as you will stay within the kill zone size throughout most of its trajectory mate.

If its .177 then zero it at 30 metres.

    Si

  • what fps is the pro sport? can't find it anywhere!

  • what scope have you got? because im about to buy the air arms tx200 next week and i need to get a scope.

  • Brilliant video. Make it look easy. I compete at my shooting club with a .22 Crosman Phantom and it hits killzones good at 35 yards with my 5 weeks of experience. Thinking about precharged but dont like to depend on gas and electronics.

If i should upgrade springer what to:

AA TX200HC (Walnut), AA PS (Walnut)

and hows the HW97K Mk2 with thumbhole?

    Replies please

  • Informative video mate. Very articulately presented.

  • Great info and tutorial 5*****

  • would you say the tx200 is just as accurate as the pro sport you have?

  • shot in the position as at the beginning? before shooting?

    while seated? sed?

  • nice vid feller. good tips proven with cracking springer marksmenship. first target first shot! we needed to see the beeming grin after that!

  • dude u are so ful of knowledge i wish u were my dad i would soak up all ur info like a sponge!!

  • I like .22 better mate but i know alot of people with a .177 and they get excellant results.

.177 defo does the job if you get head shots.

  • Hi Zinaroon!

Do you prefer .22 to .177. I personally don't think that .177 is a hunting caliber.

    Cheers

  • Grat and helpfull video again Si

    Enjoy watching them all :)

  • Cheers Sib,

    Si

  • Cracking video mate. Probably the best educational video I've seen on shooting.

  • @sibaldib I feel the same. Can't thank you enough for taking the time to do this. Helps enormously.

  • Nice video Zinaroon

    ATB Ghost Maker

  • thanks 4 the tips. again good vid :0)

  • Sorry I explained the sizes wrongly.

What I meant to say was

40 mm is equal to 1.57 inches

34 mm is equal to 1.33 inches

    and

30 mm is equal to 1.18 inches.

    Enjoy the footage

    Zinaroon
