Can anyone help me? I share full screen on skype with my friend so he can watch me play a game, but it doesn't work. He can see like my facebook but when I open the game he can't see anything.
For everyone having prob's of not seeing "share screen" in the way of this video, did you try right clicking your friend in the friend list and then on the "share screen" pick the one you want... I haven't tried it, but I do see the option, so it should work...
@formalen No. You can do it on XP as well, because he is currently using XP in this video. You have to be in a call in order to screen share. There should be a button in whatever version you have (5.3 by now) that might just show an icon or say "Share..." Click that button during the call, and click "Share My Screen". Depending on wahtever version, it might just (messes up sometimes) choose a window for you to share or you click "share my entire screen". Click "Share" on the top.
is the person watching the screen share about to navigate the other person's computer? What I mean by this, is that if you are watching Grace's screen, can you use your mouse to click on links on her screen? Or is your mouse only for pointing? I've been trying to find an answer to this online. Thanks!
@dvahr - The latest version is 5.1.0.112 and with this new version you have to start the video call first (it did it before automatically when you clicked the share screen button) and then you will see the option to share your screen. Until that video call is started you have no option to share.
@clipsvh IF the game is not showing in a window then you may not be able to - the sharing function makes reference to full screen or not and has a perimeter around what it showing, so it is possible that using something like that you may not be able to.
@TimeonTaskVA okay, because my friends and I try to do that and sometimes it works and other times it doesn't and certain programs (games) that may show on skype in full screen are kind of temperamental, thanks for the reply though. ^.^

Much Complicating for NOTHING ! Why you not only make a RED BIG BUTTON : "Share my screen" directly on first Skype page !
So much configurations , 4 pages to change , 4 settings to adjust , and much bla bla for nothing , why make easy when you make complicated ....

uhm i'm using the version 5.3.0.120 and i unable to click share screen. Do i have to make the call to that person to share screen?

@fromam93 You now have to initiate a video call, and once there can click the share screen option under Call on the menu
