@YawningBoy It's great for teaching beginners (no use in teaching them how to cross someone over or do a spin move if they blow the layup) and getting the cordination and havin ga foundation of skil land cordinatio nfor more davnaced things like reverse layups, finger rolls, mid post hooks and running hooks, For better players it forces them to develop their off hand and it good for a warm up because it helps your confidence (making 90% or more of your shots) and help you to break a sweat.
my coach had us doin this in 2nd grade if we missed left hand layups (weak hand) we had 2 run. This is a great drill builds dexterity with weak and strong hands
Great drill. I'm one of the many people whose touch around the rim improved because of this.
