I so hope that season 6 doesn't end with everything not happening because they change it. People have been having a theory on that being the end to Lost either that or everyone on flight 815 was already dead and the island was their afterlife. I truly hope they come up with a better ending. Besides, if everything didn't happen, they never crashed on the island etc. then they never would have known each other like they do now.

I think Bram and Co are working for Ellie Hawkins. No matter if she is related to Charles Widmore, she is definetly not working with him. He seems to know where she is but he has no access to the information she has about the whereabouts of the island. As the gang claims to have premier rights concerning the island it must be someone who was there at least as long back as Widmore.
Daniel has just come back to the island,, but in episode one of season 5, he bumps into pierre cheng, and at the time, baby miles, to me, looked younger, so this must of happened weeks before, when he wasnt there. anyway great recaps, keep it up
just my idea but what if there is a 3rd party intrest to getting to or back the island. I think that Sun's dad has been or know of the island and maybe the crew that picked up Miles are from Sun's fathers company which she has controling share of herslef as we found out bit ago!

I have a serious issue with one of the pillars of the TimeLoop Theory.
If Richard doesn't age because he has gone back in time and will not age until he reaches the year he came from then that would mean the losties won't age until 2004/2008. But it's clear that in 3 years Miles has gone a little gray haired, thus has aged...?
Ok, let's face it. Regardless of the efforts been taken by Sean B 1) used to be 1 episode late, which makes him talking about stuff already happened, 2) used to spent almost 1/2 of the time focusing on errors in the episodes, 3) above all, he plagiarized. In my opinion all what we need is focused timely recap on the episode. And yeah, some visual effects might help to some extent. Any how, I still like yours mrjames, way to go and keep it up.
Sean's recaps were great because he *plagiarized* some of them. No, not all, but some. Sean took his recaps very seriously - even started a website so he could be the master of Lost recaps. James seems like he's doing this for fun. He's way, WAY more sharp, funny , clever and *natural* than Sean. He put's up a full recap, what, 12 hours after an episode? That talent. I've been looking forward to Jame's recaps more than Sean's for a while now. I just wish they were longer! Go James!

i think the incedent in the swan station will be hurley jack sayid, juliet , sawyer....ect. using the electromagnetic forces to time travel back in to the future which causes something to go worng with the electomagnetic force which the computerr has to be placed in to " re-settle" the force
I think all of daniels motives now are to save charolett. In the opening scene of this season we saw daniel in the orchid ,miles was a newborn at this time which would make this some time shortly after the time skips stopped. He may have been the one to design and build the time machine for the soul purpose of trying to save her. I'm still sure it's charolette just off camera in the comic con video meaning dan found a way, that's probably why he's so happy now.
I think Richard is an ancient Egyptian/Atlantean/Something who came to the island during the time of the Pharoahs, built the Statue and the Temple and is the "keeper/high priest" of Smokey, aka some deity that conquers death for it's own reasons. The Others are new arrivals (The Black Pearlies the US Army, etc.) who have wandered there by accident. So going into the temple makes you an Other (ie not a normal living human anymore). So young Ben isnt our Ben.
I bet the "incident" will in some way release or introduce the monster. We still haven't seen it in the 70s but we know its flying around soon after when it kills the french captain. Maybe the creation of the swan station or the orchid will piss it off and it will awaken or something.
Yeah I dont think Miles convinces Chang to kick them off the island. we seen on that comic con video Chang ends up finding out about the purge because of Daniel and i think thats why he gives them the boot, to save them.

Nice theories, I thought also off Miles/losties talking Chang into kicking his wife and baby off the island. But not just for the timelooptheory, more for prevent them from dying in the purge.
I think Miles' dad might of kicked them out to save them or something, he really looked like happy to be a dad so there must've been some sudden event that caused it. Probably "the variable" episode or "the incident" I guess. Don't think Miles will convince his own father to do it, though.
This episode was so much better then I expected for and every scene was worth it and Miles' actor plays him so good! I start to enjoy him so much now. Hurley and miles seem to be a great duo. Especially loved hurley talking to chang :D. Jack being passively agressive was so funny to watch, plus it worked :D Roger & Kate stumble on their bad sides again of course :P cant wait for the 100th episode :O

Also, in the video from Comic Con, you can hear a baby, if I recall correctly, is this Miles? There's a likely chance it is?
Chang says this message is 30 years in the past, 2008 - 30 = 1978 (The year is 1977 for the Oceanic 5 + Miles + Daniel + Juliet). I think I may have found the answer. This also supports my theory that Daniel is the guy filming. Got anything to add Mr James?
I said in an earlier video that Daniel was the guy behind the camera. That comic con video threw everyone for a loop. My guess is that it was filmed before the "incident" and we'll see it soon now that Daniel is back.
Also Dan was wearing a Swan Construction Suit so my guess is he will work with Chang and Radzinsky (or however you spell it) in the construction of the Swan. It's weird how Sawyer sounded like he was dead or banished when Jack asked in prior episodes, he looks fine.

yes. because baby Miles being held by adult Miles doesn't interfere with adult Miles reaching his current state. I'd even say that adult Miles could kill his younger self. If that happened the writers would have the Island bring him back to life, or they'd make him an undead resurrected ghost type (like Christian Shepard).
Basically the only thing Miles and the other Losties cannot do is something that the writers would have no way of explaining.
in swan video Dr. chang was avoiding the 2 rabbits to get close to each other, unless he was wrong Miles should not approach himlef, and i think he knows that. he seems to know a lot about time travel since he's been friends with Faraday.
Whatever happened happened. If Miles making physical contact with his younger self would make the Earth explode then that was suppose to happen. If Miles is to never contact himself he simply won't want to or will fail each time he tries.
I think Desmond (and maybe only a few other characters) are capable of cheating fate. Can you imagine Desmond meets his younger self, and shoots himself. Adult Desmond would likely disappear and as you said James "the flux capacitor" would definitely explode.
What if Miles' ability is somehow a result of contact with his younger self.

someting bothers me about Miles time loop theory: you see, if miles is the one who cause exile of his mother and himself from the island, in other words saving themselves from the purge, why didn't he prevent other people's death?!!because he prevented his mother's death, so why not others?
dear derekfilmguy, you make a lot of speculations, interesting but just speculations. i don't want to argue about theories but just remember that we still don't know for sure if losties were originally present in 1970's! it's true SO FAR that whatever happened happened but it doesn't mean that losties were always present in 1970's. there could even be a surprise in final episode showing that past can be changed! just a remark as not to insist on particular theories.
You can't have a whatever happened happened concept stand if they weren't in the 70s originally. Any interaction of any kind with the Dharma Initiative would be a breach of the concept.
The show is winding down with only 20 episodes left. I figure the writers aren't going to completely turn their time travel theory on it's head. If they were to, the explanation required would be so confusing that the majority of viewers would stop watching. This isn't Donnie Darko. Desmond's character brings enough twist to the time travel theory on his own. It is speculation but I figure it's pretty solid as speculation goes.
When they showed Miles' mother dying, her hair was falling off. Maybe it had something to do with what happened on the Island. Radiation maybe? Jughead? Electromagnetism? Maybe thats why Miles' father sent them away.
The Swan Station is where Jughead is buried. That's why, when the Hatch imploded, the sky turned purple and there was a high pitched sound. That's what happens when hydro bombs detonate.
So Danielle was on and off the island for 3 years taking the sub to and from Ann Arbor. With his knowledge of inventions and cures that happened since 1977 to the present, Being a scientist, wouldn't he be tempted to helping humanity discover cures and inventions faster???
It always happened...i think the producers have done their best to show the viewers that none of what the losties are doing is changing the past...whatever happened, happened.
I think the incident involves time travel...perhaps someone accidentally communicates with someone in the outside world (present time) and there is a negative result...maybe via computer, perhaps that is why they say in the orientation video to only use the computer for entering the numbers?
I loved this episode, had to watch it twice in a row. Great theory about Miles sending baby him and his mom away so that they don't die in the purge! Also, My favorite character has always been Locke then Ben but how can you have LOST without HURLEY!!!! The Luke and Vader thing, the making Empire better....Hurley RULES! and I loved his teasing with Chang and Miles no the Bus! "So, what's your baby's name? Miles huh? Small world!

good point, but the rules of timeloop say miles cannot change the outcome of his own future taking place. something ELSE must trigger his dad's actions, regardless of miles confronting his dad. the writers COULD put this into the show (good theory that they WILL) but there would have to be a background story to the dad's actions. we'll probably never learn about the alternative -- that is, what his dad does without miles' help.

New thought....I think that they showed Miles being kidnapped by the guy who asked him if he knew what lied in the shadow of the statue to also help us link that everyone who has been hired by widemore has also been "kidnapped" some how and asked the same question.....

Ok, let's face it. Regardless of the efforts been taken by Sean B 1) used to be 1 episode late, which makes him talking about stuff already happened, 2) used to spent almost 1/2 of the time focusing on errors in the episodes, 3) above all, he plagiarized. In my opinion all what we need is focused timely recap on the episode. And yeah, some visual effects might help to some extent. Any how, I still like yours mrjames, way to go and keep it up.

Sean's recaps were great because he *plagiarized* some of them. No, not all, but some. Sean took his recaps very seriously - even started a website so he could be the master of Lost recaps. James seems like he's doing this for fun. He's way, WAY more sharp, funny , clever and *natural* than Sean. He put's up a full recap, what, 12 hours after an episode? That talent. I've been looking forward to Jame's recaps more than Sean's for a while now. I just wish they were longer! Go James!

I think all of daniels motives now are to save charolett. In the opening scene of this season we saw daniel in the orchid ,miles was a newborn at this time which would make this some time shortly after the time skips stopped. He may have been the one to design and build the time machine for the soul purpose of trying to save her. I'm still sure it's charolette just off camera in the comic con video meaning dan found a way, that's probably why he's so happy now.

I think Richard is an ancient Egyptian/Atlantean/Something who came to the island during the time of the Pharoahs, built the Statue and the Temple and is the "keeper/high priest" of Smokey, aka some deity that conquers death for it's own reasons. The Others are new arrivals (The Black Pearlies the US Army, etc.) who have wandered there by accident. So going into the temple makes you an Other (ie not a normal living human anymore). So young Ben isnt our Ben.

I bet the "incident" will in some way release or introduce the monster. We still haven't seen it in the 70s but we know its flying around soon after when it kills the french captain. Maybe the creation of the swan station or the orchid will piss it off and it will awaken or something.

Yeah I dont think Miles convinces Chang to kick them off the island. we seen on that comic con video Chang ends up finding out about the purge because of Daniel and i think thats why he gives them the boot, to save them.

I think Miles' dad might of kicked them out to save them or something, he really looked like happy to be a dad so there must've been some sudden event that caused it. Probably "the variable" episode or "the incident" I guess. Don't think Miles will convince his own father to do it, though.

This episode was so much better then I expected for and every scene was worth it and Miles' actor plays him so good! I start to enjoy him so much now. Hurley and miles seem to be a great duo. Especially loved hurley talking to chang :D. Jack being passively agressive was so funny to watch, plus it worked :D Roger & Kate stumble on their bad sides again of course :P cant wait for the 100th episode :O

wow I can't believe I didn't find you earlier, your recaps are much better than Seanie B's and you don't sound stoned all the time.
I think Chang kicks Miles and Mother out because he learns of the 'purge' happening (from Daniel and Miles and maybe the others, even Sawyer since he is more trustworthy, keep reading to see my evidence). Also, in the video from Comic Con, you can hear a baby, if I recall correctly, is this Miles? There's a likely chance it is?

I said in an earlier video that Daniel was the guy behind the camera. That comic con video threw everyone for a loop. My guess is that it was filmed before the "incident" and we'll see it soon now that Daniel is back.

Also Dan was wearing a Swan Construction Suit so my guess is he will work with Chang and Radzinsky (or however you spell it) in the construction of the Swan. It's weird how Sawyer sounded like he was dead or banished when Jack asked in prior episodes, he looks fine.

They won't time jump, as Miles told the grieving dad, "If you wanted to tell him you loved him you should have told him before he died."
So basically being dead is a stopping point.
Also, that means, Charlotte's body was left otherwise it would have been there with them when they jumped.

yes. because baby Miles being held by adult Miles doesn't interfere with adult Miles reaching his current state. I'd even say that adult Miles could kill his younger self. If that happened the writers would have the Island bring him back to life, or they'd make him an undead resurrected ghost type (like Christian Shepard).
Basically the only thing Miles and the other Losties cannot do is something that the writers would have no way of explaining.

Whatever happened happened. If Miles making physical contact with his younger self would make the Earth explode then that was suppose to happen. If Miles is to never contact himself he simply won't want to or will fail each time he tries.

I think Desmond (and maybe only a few other characters) are capable of cheating fate. Can you imagine Desmond meets his younger self, and shoots himself. Adult Desmond would likely disappear and as you said James "the flux capacitor" would definitely explode.
What if Miles' ability is somehow a result of contact with his younger self.

I LOVE EWOKS !!! Ewoks and Wookies are really the same species . EEEE- Wok / Wok-eeee . They got seperated somewhere around the time that Khassyyk got renamed Edenia . Ewoks speak a form of English , the first time they see C3PO and he speaks to them in Ewokese , one Ewok looks to the other and says " This guy wise " and the other responds " Moderately sure " listen it's in there no joke . If Miles does successfully save anyone from the purge, then that was what was meant to happen.
Fate doesn't require the Losties to sit on their hands. Obviously it was fate that Kate and Sawyer saved Ben.
Maybe Miles and other Losties will save some people from the purge. We know many do die, but we don't know how many escape.

dear derekfilmguy, you make a lot of speculations, interesting but just speculations. i don't want to argue about theories but just remember that we still don't know for sure if losties were originally present in 1970's! it's true SO FAR that whatever happened happened but it doesn't mean that losties were always present in 1970's. there could even be a surprise in final episode showing that past can be changed! just a remark as not to insist on particular theories.

The show is winding down with only 20 episodes left. I figure the writers aren't going to completely turn their time travel theory on it's head. If they were to, the explanation required would be so confusing that the majority of viewers would stop watching. This isn't Donnie Darko. Desmond's character brings enough twist to the time travel theory on his own. It is speculation but I figure it's pretty solid as speculation goes.

It always happened...i think the producers have done their best to show the viewers that none of what the losties are doing is changing the past...whatever happened, happened.
I think the incident involves time travel...perhaps someone accidentally communicates with someone in the outside world (present time) and there is a negative result...maybe via computer, perhaps that is why they say in the orientation video to only use the computer for entering the numbers?

I loved this episode, had to watch it twice in a row. Great theory about Miles sending baby him and his mom away so that they don't die in the purge! Also, My favorite character has always been Locke then Ben but how can you have LOST without HURLEY!!!! The Luke and Vader thing, the making Empire better....Hurley RULES! and I loved his teasing with Chang and Miles no the Bus! "So, what's your baby's name? Miles huh? Small world!

good point, but the rules of timeloop say miles cannot change the outcome of his own future taking place. something ELSE must trigger his dad's actions, regardless of miles confronting his dad. the writers COULD put this into the show (good theory that they WILL) but there would have to be a background story to the dad's actions. we'll probably never learn about the alternative -- that is, what his dad does without miles' help.

congrats mr. james.I think they really raise the bar in this season finale. it´s the last time they can create this tension while the fans are waiting for the last season to air..I don´t know if one of the main characters is going to be sacrified but maybe sayid is the one. Since Kate went back to find Claire, this is probably relevant in the last season when hopefully the whole Christian-Jack-Claire-Jacob-Connection is being explained and solved. We´ll see!
