  • How much did it cost to built it. I wanting a good street/strip motor for my fox im looking a a 427sbf any thoughts?

  • @90stang03

This is a $10,000 to $12,000 engine, we have many options. Give us a call 800-341-1528

  • tell your buddies it's a 289.....lol...surprise

  • fox lake performance makes the bore size to go 460 or 470 with the 9.5 deck but im sure it costs a bundle how much was your shortblock? im in the process of building another windsor based sbf but with an aftermarket block because my 69 0.040 block pretty much reached its limit as far as performance any information would be appreciated thanks

  • @Dwayne831

We can to up to a 468 cubic inch kit.

Our short blocks start at $3900 using the Dart SHP block

  • You can stroke an aftermarket block out to 480 cu in

  • @Dwayne831

First you have to find someone to make a larger stroke than the 4.250 for the Small block ford

  • More proof that ford died when it went with the mod motor. Put that in a 5.0 and never deliver another pizza late again.

  • @cmcbunch yeah a 400+ hp mod motor in the 2011 5.0 Mustang just sucks are you kidding.Mean while Chevy with there 6.2 outdated push rod engine is getting beat by a little 302 mod motor.

  • @331sbf Hahahaha. Calm down and read the dyno charts again my man. Peak horsepower is a sales pitch, and is irrelevant when comparing two engines for the street. I'm not gonna use a car to pull carts full of coal out of a mine. Look at peak torque and how wide the torque band is. You cannot build a 302 that will make the same torque curve as a 376 engine within the same restrictions. Do some more research and go work with some real engine builders for a few months. You will be enlightened

  • @cmcbunch but the 302 will be a quicker revving engine, it all depends on what you want, for street the toque would win out although

  • This is a 351W Stroked out to make a 454

  • @cncmotorsports oh wow i didnt know you could stroke a 351 that far

  • @cncmotorsports you can stroke a 351 that far..................hmmmmmmmm

  • @getmoneystaytrue100

Dart block has the larger bore, 4.125 - 4.185 bore, use a 4.250 stroke crankshaft.

  • I thought 454 was a Chevy Motor and not Ford? I think my 76 F-100 has a 302 in it, puny compared to that motor it seems lol/

  • That Windsor isn't even close to the tip of the iceberg when it comes to its full potential. If the owner of the "street motor" decided to turn it to full race motor, this will hit 4 digit torque numbers. The heads could be changed to Victor race heads, Yates heads, or even big block heads if he goes with a trick flow cheater cam which has a .750 inch lift. The compression ratio can bump up to 13.5.1 as well. Oh, and he can go dual carburetors (Two-1035cfm's) the list is endless

  • what is it making for hp and torque?

  • I think that would be a nice addition to my Mustang!

  • thats what im talking about...
