ODST from what it looks like off this commercial go threw the Spetsnaz training. which would make sense on why they're shouting in Russian. The spetsnaz training is still thought to be one of the most effective ways of psychologically getting a person ready for combat, pretty much by giving them the feeling of "dropping into hell" in the end it comes out to not how you get the job done but that you get it done and survived. ODST are the prime example of that

@Rangerkev22 They are the elite of the marines, like the SAS or delta force, They arent as invincible as the spartans but are pretty awesome, operating in small teams to provide reconassiance or fire support to regular marines. They may not be 7 foot tall and wearing energy shielded MJOLNIR armour or genetic modifications, but they are as hard as nails and I think they are way more awesome than the spartans any day.

the video of odst put my expectation bar real high. now after i finished campaign, it didn't really reach it :( and as being my first halo game, i really thought it was going to be quite an experience. im greatly dissapointed. good thing it came with Halo 3 mythic multiplayer :D it's ironic how a suprize game extra is more fun than the actual game i bought for. oh well. odst soldiers go through what not many people go through, i still have deep respect for them

@THEBARTMANOPS Maybe, but if we're going by the story (The Fall of Reach or parts of First Strike describing the ground battle for Reach) I dont think there were many brutes if any on the ground during the invasion. It was mainly Elite commandos and thousands of grunts, jackals and Hunters. But I could also be wrong.
