@gnarliecharlie100 It has the Simtek ECU so basically it holds the revs, backs out all the timing from the ignition and cuts the ignition to a cylinder at a time- thus the "sooting" and uneven crackling sound then sidestep the clutch and BANG!! all hell breaks loose into the transmission :)

Hey thanks my friend! Ive since this clip smashed it up, repaired it, modded it some more and have a new transmission (2008 spec C gearbox, cusco rear diff, custom driveshafts) and having a new motor as it was detting its head off. 3 weeks brothas then the beast is back!!!!!!

@HoodRulesApply389 depends what you are running- if its a 5 speed classic with an r160 diff and you launch it as hard as this then it WILL eventually break the diff first and then then gearbox- I am on my third box and my fourth diff!! ha ha now running a spec c 6 speed and a Cusco Diff - job done!

@newengland72 This is old spec my friend - we have junked that box to shreds and now have a 2008 Spec C g-box and a Cusco rear diff- it will now paint the magic "H" as we leave the line on full launch control!! I have however smashed the front up whilst practicing for some "private" gymkhana vids on a too narrow lorry depot.

he's in the paint shop gobbling up money that should have been spent on HP. STay tuned "WE WILL BE BACK"

@christophersaa In that vid it had a Ver 7 bug eye 6 speed with no DCCD I blew that to shreds in dec 2009 and its now running a 2008 SPec C 6 speed with DCCD and I have put a Cusco 1.5 way diff in the rear. the clutch is an Exedy carbon twin plate. I will be doing some more vids soon to demo the new tranny and diff. - problem is not very many totally empty carparks to shoot movies in!!! :)

Basically that is the biggest standard position turbo you can get which is really laggy not the best for launching without all that Jazz.

In this clip it is only running about 390hp and an earlier 6 spd gearbox with an open diff (now totally trashed!!!!) its now running 470hp and a spec C 2008 6 sp with dccd. I also have replaced the rear diff with a cusco item. So watch for new vids. Check out "impreza 0-100mph"in my other videos. Takws about 8.5 secs :)
