she has a great voice, but it lacks an emotional connection to the lyrics. Eve is about to die and she's trying to urgently explain that to her family and also ask for forgiveness. ...i'm not sure if the singer understands that.

This music is great; I love Stephen Schwartz. I like that I tell he wrote the song because the final chords played by the orchestra as the singers hold "home" sound a bit like defying gravity. They aren't exactly the chords, but the progression is similar. AWESOME!

First of all, if this chick goes to brown that means shes is most likely not a musical theatre major. And if thats the case, she needs to transfer to wagner or emerson, so she can go get famous. This girl is amazing. The original cast recording is not as good as this.

Brilliant. That's the only word that fits this performance. She is vocally spot-on and I'll bet she's an incredible actress because I really felt her through what she was singing. A very emotional performer (in the good way). Very beautiful.
