@Fearlessfront that sounds really awesome I'm looking forward to watching those videos, with my go-kart when I rip doughnuts the belt likes to wear out I don't know if that will pertain to your torque converter but my go-kart has a centrifugal clutch with a jack shaft setup but I'm not sure what sizes the drive sprocket and chain are. So I just wanted to give you a heads up but like I said it might wear your belt out faster ripping doughnuts

OK what you should do is a gas pedal on the Nerf bars it would be more fun and be cooler.Also instead of just the bike brake handle for the pedal you should weld about a 4 inch long by 3 in wide piece of metal on it and make it like a car gas pedal.

Great job in a meshy situation (grizznatty - thanks for getting that stuck in my head!!) Will the mesh under the motor hinder actually bolting the motor to its home? Before, you had good clearance from underneath. Now, it looks like you have to contort around the motor and give your finger tips a work out :) Great Job! can we fast forward to next week when you start the next bit of work!?!? :)

This is way off topic but i need professional help. By doing a pulley swap on a transaxle (yes transaxle not CVT, Hydro, variable speed, etc..) decrease the life of your transmission... I swapped from a 9 inch to a 3 inch on the tranny and now it makes the most godawful whine... i kno i whining tranny is a good indicator that something is about to take a dump..... if anybody knows i would like to kno also

@wheelhorse99 Depends, if its brass busing, like most are, then it will decrease the life span... by how much is anyone's guess, my black murray offroader has been pulley swapped and locked for 3 years. dont abuse it and it should last.

fearless i have question okay i have a 18 hp race mower im putting a 5 speed transaxle in it but first ile have to cut out the varidrive shit. i dont feel like making another clutch for it so what i was wondering is if i could use the neutral gear on the transaxle to star it then slam it in 1st at a very low idle and just have a break. should i make a clutch or should this work out okay two? Oh and ive been thinking and how did you set up your murray hood to ware u can take it on and off, thanks

@z54177 make a clutch, dont be lazy about it, if you just jam it into gear all of the time. your gonna break stuff and it will just not be fun

@z54177 redzz02 is right, you'd get a day out of it slamming it into gear. Try to build one, or find another chassis in need of a motor/trans, that isn't an MTD

Lookin good man! When you paint it go back over just the top of the mesh with some sand paper or a wire wheel on a grinder so it's got the contrast of the shiner silver on what ever color you go with. Keep up the good work and the great videos!

P.s. I see you submitted to the gloves lol I still refuse to wear gloves even though I ground down my knuckle to the bone yesterday working on Bad Grass
