i reckon that this was very harmonious and it would be perfect to have this during a live concert instead of dancers. just the singer who sings a soft song, and someone's flying a kite to the rhythm of the music, that would be pretty cool. honestly i can't see why this act was put through in this show since is more for therapy than talent (according to me) but it would be cool if it was used like i described above :)

I feel the boy's pain w/ epilepsy. It can be rather hard at times. Your limited as to where you can go (for my I can't go to Haunted Houses or anything like that at halloween because of my photosensitivity to strobe lights)

He reminds me of my son who has Asperger's Syndrome . It felt saw awesome to watch him live his dream. I felt blessed. It's not always about winning. He is reaching for his dreams and I applaud him. It's easy to sit back and criticize rather than getting out there and giving it your all.
I personally found his act very soothing and I would pay money to see his act. We are all so busy al lthe time, it would be worth the time and money to have a peaceful evening to reconnect with the universe.

Connor you are a VERY talented sweet soul. Someone very near and dear to me has Epilepsy, and I know the fear and the struggle. I admire you both. You are one of my top 3 faves on this show. I think you have a great chance of winning, as you've already won so many hearts. Being able to sing, dance, blow fire, magic tricks, etc....does NOT DEFINE TALENT. Doctors are doctors because they are talented and skilled to do what they do. You know what this boys talent is? His talent to me is showing how beautiful and how serene and calm life is. It just takes you out of the world....in two minutes
His talent is something that this show needs. It shows change. I would totally pay to see him do this many times believe it or not. I have never seen anything like this. It shows beauty and uniqueness. He puts real emotion into it. You can see it in his eyes, and everyone else they catch watching it. It doesn't matter if it makes you laugh, sad, cry, etc. Whatever, but it makes you realize that no matter who you are you still have a chance to silence the world for two minutes.

I don't understand why people have such sympathy for him. I'm sure if he didn't have a disease, and still flew his ridiculous kite, the judges would have X-ed him off the stage immediately. But since he has a disability, people suddenly have to fawn over him like he has some kind of talent. And they send him to Vegas, like he's comparable to the other acts that went through? @SoniaC6 i agree the show has gotten to the point where 75% of the acts are not very talented but have an inspirational story. every once in a while an inspirational story is nice, but when almost all of the acts are only there because of age or a disability, the inspiration loses its value.
I don't get why people are so ignorant. He's got the guts to go up on television and do that. Unlike those who sit and say "oh well yeah so that's so easy I could do it." well, why don't you? He's a kid who has epilepsy and this is a way to escape from it. It was a good experience for him and he got to show off to the world what people can be capable of on a once in a life time experience. okay so i know he has Epilepsy, and all, and its great that he found something that makes him happy. but in MY OPINION i do not think its a talent. i have a lot of diseases too, some as bad as his, and its like if i went up there on stage and said i have these diseases and eating peaches helps me live my life and makes me stronger. im sure the judges would feel sympathy just like they did for this guy, and let me go to vegas because i eat peaches "gracefully" just like he flew kites "gracefully"
How some of those other contestants made it is beyond me, This is one of the most amazing talents I've seen. The beauty and uniqueness of this kid is unreal. I also wanted to quit watching...and may. I too have epilepsy and I understand how hard it can be.
If you say things like "they just let him through because they felt sorry for him." You're one of those people that Connor keeps proving wrong when his mother said "Connor has been told he can't do things and every time he's told he can't, he tells me he can." He does have talent.
Even if they didn't let him through he's not just doing this for the fame, it relieves his stress and he feels safe. That's enough of a reason to do it.

I think it's cool that he found something that makes him feel so great but come on! He'll be going to LAS VEGAS to entertain people. There is something disarming about this performance. You can see it in Sharon Osbourne's face (watch the full version). There is something moving when someone with a lot less capabilities that you and I take for granted does something beautiful, honest and pure. It humbles us. As simple as this performance is, the fact that he has no defense nor apologies for who he is, is complex. Connor you are a VERY talented sweet soul. Someone very near and dear to me has Epilepsy, and I know the fear and the struggle. I admire you both. You are one of my top 3 faves on this show. I think you have a great chance of winning, as you've already won so many hearts. But even if you don't win this contest, you will surely have a career now, doing this beautiful thing that you love so much with your kites. I don't understand this...IT'S A KITE! It wasn't beautiful...not even talent. It's a hobby, at best. Only reason he got through was because of his epilepsy. Epilepsy isn't even that serious. My dog has it and he's been fine for years.
There are a one or two acts that made it thought this year that were just sob stories...REALLY America?

Being able to sing, dance, blow fire, magic tricks, etc....does NOT DEFINE TALENT. Doctors are doctors because they are talented and skilled to do what they do. You know what this boys talent is? His talent to me is showing how beautiful and how serene and calm life is. It just takes you out of the world....in two minutes

His talent is something that this show needs. It shows change. I would totally pay to see him do this many times believe it or not. I have never seen anything like this. It shows beauty and uniqueness. He puts real emotion into it. You can see it in his eyes, and everyone else they catch watching it. It doesn't matter if it makes you laugh, sad, cry, etc. Whatever, but it makes you realize that no matter who you are you still have a chance to silence the world for two minutes.

Everyone has opinions, but they are not always correct. Connor is not retarded; He is just like everyone else except that he has a seizure disorder. Some comments are due to a lack of knowledge about epilepsy. Ever heard of ALBERT EINSTEIN? He was a scientific genius, and had epilepsy. How about MARGAUX HEMMINGWAY? A film star, also had epilepsy. Ever been a fan of NEIL YOUNG, LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM? Both have epilepsy Maybe you have heard of PRINCE? Yep, childhood epilepsy. The list goes on.

I don't understand why people have such sympathy for him. I'm sure if he didn't have a disease, and still flew his ridiculous kite, the judges would have X-ed him off the stage immediately. But since he has a disability, people suddenly have to fawn over him like he has some kind of talent. And they send him to Vegas, like he's comparable to the other acts that went through? It's pathetic, honestly. If anyone else came on there doing the same thing, they would go home. What has America come to?

@SoniaC6 i agree the show has gotten to the point where 75% of the acts are not very talented but have an inspirational story. every once in a while an inspirational story is nice, but when almost all of the acts are only there because of age or a disability, the inspiration loses its value.

I don't get why people are so ignorant. He's got the guts to go up on television and do that. Unlike those who sit and say "oh well yeah so that's so easy I could do it." well, why don't you? He's a kid who has epilepsy and this is a way to escape from it. It was a good experience for him and he got to show off to the world what people can be capable of on a once in a life time experience. Honestly its not much, but it made me cry when I first saw this. :)

okay so i know he has Epilepsy, and all, and its great that he found something that makes him happy. but in MY OPINION i do not think its a talent. i have a lot of diseases too, some as bad as his, and its like if i went up there on stage and said i have these diseases and eating peaches helps me live my life and makes me stronger. im sure the judges would feel sympathy just like they did for this guy, and let me go to vegas because i eat peaches "gracefully" just like he flew kites "gracefully"

I too have epilepsy and I understand how hard it can be.
If you say things like "they just let him through because they felt sorry for him." You're one of those people that Connor keeps proving wrong when his mother said "Connor has been told he can't do things and every time he's told he can't, he tells me he can." He does have talent.
Even if they didn't let him through he's not just doing this for the fame, it relieves his stress and he feels safe. That's enough of a reason to do it.

I think it's cool that he found something that makes him feel so great but come on! He'll be going to LAS VEGAS to entertain people. There is something disarming about this performance. You can see it in Sharon Osbourne's face (watch the full version). There is something moving when someone with a lot less capabilities that you and I take for granted does something beautiful, honest and pure. It humbles us. As simple as this performance is, the fact that he has no defense nor apologies for who he is, is complex.
