OK so I posted on here a couple of weeks ago, and I figured out what song I was thinking of! ''Home''- Edward Sharpe& The Magnetic Zeros. If you speed up the beat a bit and take out the whistling, I swear it's the same as the commercial...or pretty darn close!! Anyway, I'm SO happy I figured out which song it was that I was thinking of cause it was really starting to bug me!
the tune is a rip from i remember by deadmau5, i honestly think that ford doesn't want to owe credit, monies and such to any outside group or band. the beginning of i remember is exactly the same tune as in the commercial.
@STFUallthename I am a HUGE fan of I remember, and I do hear a definite similarity with the beginning of both tracks.. but I don't find it exactly the same. The chords are just a bit different, and then there's the guitar in the commercial and the extra little sound effects.
Either way, those who like this commercial should check out Deadmau5 - I Remember
I have some bad news.... I became a fan of ford focus on facebook, and posted the video on it's wall and asked what the song was. Ford Focus got back to me and said that it was a instrumental soundtrack that the agency created for the commercial... It is not available on itunes.
I too was looking for the name of the song, because it is so familiar to "i remember" by Deadmau5.
I guess if we want to listen to the song, we have to listen to it here! :D
@dukesgirl04 That's what I thought. Too bad. So many of these commercial tunes are really popular - I don't understand why companies don't market them for extra cash! Ford could have a whole album by now.
@dukesgirl04 dang that sucks. But don't give up people! Just because it was made by the agency it doesn't mean we can't get the song. Do you know what agency made the commercial by chance? Could you message and ask the agency if they could upload the full sing or something haha. It's worth a shot!

But then I went back and listened to the song, and now I totally know what you're talking about! There is a definite similarity, though not exactly the same song of course. Good ears!

No it's an actual song! They stole the tune from the song and used it for this commercial....I can hear parts of the real song in my head, but I can't remember what it's called and it's driving me crazy! HELP!
LET'S MAKE THIS VID GO VIRAL! Someone will have to answer if we get this on the YouTube home page. Heck, if it isn't already a song, perhaps they will have to make it a song if it attracts enough attention.
I'm starting to think the music was written specifically for this commercial. It's too trendy sounding for it to be a real song and not have Shazam identify it. I haven't written to Ford to confirm, but that's my suspicion.

If its an ad agency video, it will never be released. Ive looked into a few of these and the associated costs are just too high to have it released.
