Energy consumption of fusion reactors will be exponentially lower than the output once they process is perfected. Nuclear fusion is the most efficient energy option we have, the problem is that we don't quite have the technology to make it work yet.
yeah but wait a sec, JET or previous Tokamaks aren't supposed to make energy profit. They are still pure research. DEMO should be the first profitable Fusion Reactor. Even JET made a profit during some tests.
